Now iam using the sony zv1 and the good thing about it is that i can film anywhere i can carry it with me what do u thik if i change it with sony zve10 is that will improve my filming or i stick with the old one better?
It depends, the zve10 can have better quality overall when you start adding lenses, it just cost $ to do that and takes more to carry with you etc

Hi Ben, Thank you for your very informative video on the Sony ZVE10. I'm a concert pianist looking for a 3 camera setup. I really would like something simple and automatic, but at the same time something that has great quality. I don't feel I want to spend £699+ on each camera especially as I wouldn't be using it as a professional. I just want something with great auto videoing and stabilisation and something that will have long time recording capabilities. Can you please advice? Thank you for reading.

I think most of the time the standard profile looks great, if you really want to get the most dynamic range out of your shot use Slog 3. or you can check out my color grading videos where I use cine2

Love your videos. Just wondering what your thoughts are on the blurred background effect for this camera. Some other reviews noted it was pretty average in smaller spaces, like studios. Did you have a chance to play around with this feature? TIA
The blurred background effect will only be as blurry as the lens attached allows, if you have a fast lens (1.4 ,1.8 , 2.8 aputure) the background blue effect will be more prominent. If you are you using the kit lens it won’t be. The blurry background just takes your lens to the fastest aputure

Hey Ben! What software do you use for mac to record your screen + camera at the same time? I'm using Filmora but I don't really like it!
I use streamyard for livestreams which has screensharing, another one I sometimes use is screenflow which is great
Hi Ben, I am getting frustrated on this camera setting, can you let me know the WB and Iso you use in you dark background head shot talking
I typically use 5600k for white balance and the rest is a balancing game
ISO I try to keep between 100-200
Shutterspeed 1/50
Aputure as low as I can (normally 1.8-2.8)

Do I need to select STREAMING on my camera every time I open my computer? Or the computer will recognize the camera and setup right away?

6:29 I just got this camera yesterday and I’m trying to set it up to vlog. I’m following along but some of my settings don’t say the same thing as yours. Idk if it’s because I have to put them the same as yours or if I have a different version of the camera idk lol but I’m in the same area as you are on the camera under rear and #1 says picture profile but the rest of them )2-5) says follow custom. They don’t say focus area, focus mode ect. How do I get mine to say that? Thanks for your help
If you select one of the options that says “follow custom” a menu selection will pop up, and whatever you choose will replace it
Why does the zve10 have a couple dead green pixels on the LCD screen. I’ve noticed most reviews have this and so did mine when I ordered it
Thanks. I'm new with this. However My record setting only shows 2 options 25p (100M and 25p (60M), and says that it cannot record in this setting. Also I get a message that this operation or setting is not available (frame rate 100fps). Any suggestions?
Same issue here
It has to do with NTSC vs PAL
It’s a broadcast television setting for different regions of the world
If you find that setting in your camera it’s probably on PAL and you can change it to NTSC to see the options I have shown bere
Hey Ben I’m in the Atlanta area as well and wanted to see if I could hire you to help me get my lighting right. I’ve seen your videos and done a lot to affect changes but literally not having my content production be how I want is something I allow to limit me. So I’m willing to invest in changing that. Just picked one of these up but it seems some of the options are not available for me, only 2 options 25p ect, I’m wondering if Australia has been sold a bill of good by Sonyand they have given us an inferior product under the same name.
Nope! It’s NTSC vs PAL
Confusing I know, it has to do with broadcast television profiles in different regions of the world
If you set to NTSC you will get 24p etc

It won’t be exact but there will be a lot that will work

You are probably on PAL settings and not NTSC
It depends on what part of the world you live in
In America tv is broadcaster in NTSC and will allow you to use 24, 30, and 60 fps
Other parts of the world use PAL which have a slight change in the frame rates
Idk why, but that’s what’s happening
It’s not a big change or big deal for UA-cam stuff tho

Make sure you are not in SandQ mode, that mode doesn’t record audio
