I've heard of eating crow, but this is ridiculous! Lol
Deer Hunting season always fell on my birthday so usually my dad would be gone as he LOVES hunting as well as fishing.
Sometimes he'd come home early, or at least try to call from the top of the mountain but I couldn't always count on it.
I decided to join him one year as I hated that he was always gone. The first 3 days were fine as the season hadn't started yet. But the next 7 it rained without a sign of stopping.
The day before my birthday he finally shot a deer and we celebrated with burritos and we took the deer into town to get it gutted and cut.
I wasn't really old enough to handle a gun so I mostly chilled either in the cabin or in the back of the jeep with a cut up garbage bag to keep me dry.
The rain damaged my game-boy the day my dad shot a deer, so I got a new one a few months later.
I realized hunting just wasn't my thing so one of my step-sisters instead joined my dad on hunting and fishing trips.
The whole family would go if camping was added to the mix, but I would just chill at the campsite and pal around with my cousins, family friends, sister etc.
Things have changed massively since I was a kid, and I regret that my dad and I aren't that close due to different interests, but that's just the way things go.
My dad would rather vacation by getting away from the crowds to fish and hunt, and I'd rather vacation by going to theme parks or big cities to see the sights.

You can't eat every meat, some birds shouldn't be eaten, and also there is a belief that every crow carries someone's soul in it

I will never get why people need to kill animals for fun. Stupidity...
People hunt to eat primarily. It’s no different then buying a steak or a burger unless you’ve been vegan your whole life.
Personally I support killing to eat but doing it for sport is pretty sick and twisted

The real crime is big commercial feedlots, the ones where the animals are so crammed in they don't even have room to walk around. At least the hunted animals had a good natural life before they were hunted.

Why can't you eat a Crow?
Well, I think it’s because of this. And to be honest with you, I’m sorry if you take this the wrong way, as I honestly can’t really tell, if you are joking or not. But regardless of that, whether if you’re joking or not, I think that you are not supposed to eat a crow, because they hunt for dead people’s bodies, and they eat the dead body, and eat their souls, whenever people go out into nature, never coming home from their hunting trips, and once you kill a crow, that’s if you end up killing one, I actually think that you are supposed to not eat one, probably because like Hyde said, Fez ended up bringing, bad juju on them all, because they ate somebody’s soul. So if I’m not mistaken, and I honestly can’t tell if you were or weren’t joking, I’m sorry to say that, I actually think, that’s why you’re not supposed, to eat a crow.

Actual answer: Crows have good protein, but are less breedable than Chickens. Urban mythology tends to paint any black animal as being "cursed"

@@awesometacularhero you're not too far off. crows are scavengers and can feed on things which can carry harmful microbes or materials into our systems through their flesh. it's a pretty common trend in nature to see predators develop some form of aversion to certain prey, which acts for the prey as a survival mechanism, further allowing them to thrive in predatory environments. i kind of view crows and pigeons as the part time garbage collectors of modern society
aside from that there's probably plenty of superstitious and religious beliefs regarding crows. crows are also symbolic for many horror media tropes and stories, not to mention halloween. plus they're super smart and can actually form relationships with humans. and they will also eat humans. and humans don't really like animals that feed on other humans very much
