Thanks for the tutorial! The aluminum can spacer is ingenious. I want to try this out asap, still looking for a long tube like the curtain rod.

@exoticloop no problem, looking forward to seeing what you come up with. Once you figure it out, you should make another tutorial like your last one but with a pulse jet like this

I just built mine based on your tutorial last night, and I'm surprised to even get them working first time!
600 mL can (looked similar to yours, even longer)
15-20 mL Methanol as starting fuel,
    1 m (3.28 ft) of ½" pipe welded
    slightly larger inlet hole 3/4-1
What are the lengths and diameters of your pipes? Mine's not running stable, and short lived.

Look up “4lb thermojet” by beck technologies/pulsejet engines. If you have time on your hands it might be a cool little project. I think integza based his design off of it but the dual ports work better than one.

@exoticloop thanks for the suggestion. That looks pretty awesome and something I would like to try

@exoticloop if you have a 1" pipe, which is the size of most closet rods, you can use a file to grind out the hole in the can a little bigger, and the pipe will fit tightly in the can without having to fill the space aluminum and tape. I just figured that out
