This carries a very eerie feeling, and slightly angsty, while also being very high-energy. It's little wonder this was used as the background track for Peacock.
Peacock is based off cartoons of the 1930's. Cerebella fights with a hat.Valentine uses syringes, and a hacksaw though she's a Ninja.Parasoul fights with a parasol that unleases explosives globs and has personal to assist her.Mis Fortune can use her head to help her that's all I can recall for now.It shares features of fighting games but also introduces things that Fgs shoulda had in this era.Its more legitimate than SFxT and SC5 which did try to copy SF4.
This is freaking badass, and to a certain degree reminds me of Adler's theme from Akatsuki Blitzkampf! Really can't wait for this godlike game to come out!
I haven't heard a great fighting game soundtrack in years.I REALLY WANT THIS GAME!! I want this game to out do SFxT and Soulcalibur. I'm impressed.I am going to support this fighting game. Its about time us gamers got something pure.
the skullgirl is that chick you fight at the end, she was tricked by double to make herself the skullgirl to save peacock. but the def. of a skullgirl is the holder of the skullheart
This makes me think of a fusion of several Castlevania Order of Ecclesia's tracks. Lady Yamane, you queen of music you. This game is gonna have one beautiful soundtrack.
To whoever makes comparisons to Castlevania music, its the infact the same composer of all the great 2d metroidvanias (symphony of the night, dawn of sorrow, etc.)
I'm somewhat embarrassed to admit, I hadn't been aware of Miss Yamane's work prior to Skullgirls; however, with compositions like what we've heard so far, including this, I see what I've been missing- and no 500-character-or-less UA-cam comment of mine can express how grateful and happy I am that she's a part of this project, and that this project has, in turn, introduced me to her work. Rock on, Yamane-san! (Teehee... I rhymed.)
@Hoshinosenshi The composer for Skullgirls is Michiru Yamane. She is most well-known for her work on the Castlevania series - starting with Symphony of the Night, and doing all of the handheld CV games from Aria of Sorrow til Order of Ecclesia, though she has done an abundance of games over time.
Never played that much Castlevania, but Michiru Yamane and Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts composer) have stolen my heart, and convinced me video game music is the make-or-break and is the best music out there.
cut to pieces but didn't die becasue of a gem she swallowed.Valentine can revive a team member and can cause input lag, most of the time in some fighting games you can whiff a grab recover then try again. In this game you miss a grab you will get punished. In training mode.you can watch a replay of a match you lost and see what move would beat the move that beat you. There's also a gauge that lets you see how much time you have to combo your moves. Also Personality. The characters aren't like usual
Nostalgic memories from the final stage of Gundam: Battle Assult 2. I also hear traces of Wily Capsule in there somewhere, along with Final Egg. Before anyone says, Castlevania's one of those missed oppertunities for me. But I do hear the Pig Star stage of Sparkster, so that's somethin'.
@ryarod 1) half assed reference to Castlevania: Symphony of the Night, which the creator of this musical piece has previously been working on 2) Swag sort of means cool, except in a more dapper and sophisticated kind of it. Cool is rebellious and not-give-a-fuck-ish, swag is stylish.
This feels like a combo of war agony and fetus of god from darkstalkers. Well, this entire game has a darkstalkers feel to it. I cant wait till its out!
Half of the released songs don't sound very fighting gamish (wich is more of a good thing actually, gives the soundtrack more unigue feeling) but this track...You can immeaditly telling something is gonna go down. With swag
another good song, another reason to pray that my computer stops bugging out on me and enables me to use my MP3 converter soon! :( Can't wait for the game to come out, been waiting since august! and this game seems promising!
@ForsakenMemories45 You have not played Castlevania? You are missing more than 20 years of good music then... If you like Michiru Yamane music you need to play those games :)
I actually like Guilty Gear's music more than Blazblue. Not saying its soundtrack is bad it just didn't grow on me and it seems it never will.Favorite theme was the song of Millia vs Eddie. But boss I-no's song was cool as was Anji's May,Justice that's all I can remember.I'll have to play BB again because I keep juggling between GT5,Tekken6,SC5 and AC5
PEACOCK'S STAGE IS EPIC
From the backstory I just got Peacock was made to destroy the skullgirls man I just love everything about Peacock
So was big band…
This carries a very eerie feeling, and slightly angsty, while also being very high-energy.
It's little wonder this was used as the background track for Peacock.
i swear at 1:02 its like SO DAMN GOOD ._.
Yes man
1:02
I love it when it hits into that symphony at 1:33. So awesome...
Sounds identical to a motiff from Castlevania curse of darkness but it is michiru yamane's work of art after all.
1:33
By the story, the stage and her trailer theme starting at 1:02 this is Peacock's theme undoubtedly.
paved with good intentions is the themes name
This song with two nurses in a fight💀

#Skullgirls
I Sense Synthwaves Back In The 80’s, 90’s.
The music is literally a bop
Really erratic and ominous. Fits Peacock pretty well. Kudos for Michiru Yamane.
Was a great song for the peacock trailer. So hype.
@kokocipher I guess it is Peacock's stage. So it doubles the awesome of the music.
This is freaking badass, and to a certain degree reminds me of Adler's theme from Akatsuki Blitzkampf! Really can't wait for this godlike game to come out!
And Bloodlines, which still has one of the best soundtracks in Castlevania (In my opinion)
I haven't heard a great fighting game soundtrack in years.I REALLY WANT THIS GAME!! I want this game to out do SFxT and Soulcalibur. I'm impressed.I am going to support this fighting game. Its about time us gamers got something pure.

Oooohhh!! Michiru-sama! I don't know how this remember me Anti-souls Mysteries lab from LOI... an excellent work.
Why isn't this video getting more views? It is awesome!
This makes me think of a fusion of several Castlevania Order of Ecclesia's tracks.
Lady Yamane, you queen of music you. This game is gonna have one beautiful soundtrack.
1:02
You're welcome uwu
To whoever makes comparisons to Castlevania music, its the infact the same composer of all the great 2d metroidvanias (symphony of the night, dawn of sorrow, etc.)
damn, this music is amazing
Best stage ever
This is Peacock's Stage!
This reminds me of the the music from Treetop Tumble in Donkey Kong Country 3. Well, the beginning at least :P
gentlemens and ladys is... TIME TO FIGHT!!
1:20 my favorite part❤❤❤💗
Game: 2012
Soundtrack: 2011
Epic
Beautiful
Anyone else feels like Castlevania while listening to this???
I want Michiru Yamane back doing the Castlevania music!!!!!!
She's so great!!!!

This could fit right into any Castlevania game without a problem. It's always good to have more games with music by Michiru Yamane.
good job, Michiru Yamane!
Never played that much Castlevania, but Michiru Yamane and Yoko Shimomura (Kingdom Hearts composer) have stolen my heart, and convinced me video game music is the make-or-break and is the best music out there.
2:58 is my favorite part
Yes! Been waiting to hear this song in full! And it does not disappoint! :D
The song name is Paved with good intentions, i rather hear the one by the artist not posted on by skullgirl
Id consider this 2 be Valentines main theme it fits her very well considering her tragic backstory n personality

that's Michiru Yamane?! i thought this sounded castlevanianish
Peacock yay.
@Ilovemariofan I know right?!?!?!?!?!?
time to paint the town red
@Anime4Life35 I wish Peacock would be my sister. Since she is so damn awesome.
The last part sound like Castlevania DoS, VS Menace
@RuggedSavior same music composer.
@M30W3R Ah. Thank you for clearing that up, and for not being a jerk about it like a lot of internet users do.
Oh man, it's like, you can tell she made the music for Castlevania: SOTN...and it sounds SO damn good. :D Wait, did that make sense?
Interesting...at this point I'm just happy for pretty much anything Skullgirls to be posted up ^^
@HTTYDandRioforever Well I kinda want to hear Parasoul's and Umbrella's theme.
peacock da best
Ya(ง •̀ω•́)ง✧

@Ilovemariofan I wonder if they'll be simaler since they're sisters...
This feels like a combo of war agony and fetus of god from darkstalkers. Well, this entire game has a darkstalkers feel to it. I cant wait till its out!
@kokocipher O thats the reason because this theme sounds so good.
@ryarod nah worries, I realize I was kinda cryptic up there :3c
@kokocipher yes this was used on the trailer at least lols
Half of the released songs don't sound very fighting gamish (wich is more of a good thing actually, gives the soundtrack more unigue feeling) but this track...You can immeaditly telling something is gonna go down.
With swag
Most of these comments are from 6 years ago aaa-
@HTTYDandRioforever I doubt it.
This is pretty heated. Haven't been following this game but it looks kinda cool
Is this the stage for Peacock?
@Ilovemariofan And characters!
The instruments has that same creeper feeling that was present in Sonic Unleashed's Eggmanland stage. Organ synth ftw
You haven't played Blazblue and listened to it's MAGNIFICENT soundtrack?
Dang.....
:(
Really want this, but its not going out for pc...
Awesome!
@mregasi yea
@ALogTV -_- don't discourage Skullgirls from releasing new music demos
We already know that ;-)
Pcock best grill
another good song, another reason to pray that my computer stops bugging out on me and enables me to use my MP3 converter soon! :( Can't wait for the game to come out, been waiting since august! and this game seems promising!

@ForsakenMemories45 You have not played Castlevania? You are missing more than 20 years of good music then... If you like Michiru Yamane music you need to play those games :)
Sampler of the Innsmouth (?) music that plays in the background of the related video 11th down and in the composer's announcement PLSS!

Actually, her first work in the Castlevania series was Castlevania: Bloodlines for the Genesis/Megadrive.
meower was quoting the game...
When can I start placing pre-orders for the soundtrack?
damn and i thought i was the only one!
I wonder how Painwheel's theme will go...
I love part
1:54 to 2:28
++
Pretty badass!
Agree, best parts imo.
...Reminds me of anti-soul labs in Castlevania Lament of Innocence.
Oh hey wait....right...
@M30W3R throughs glass. enugh talk have at you
@M30W3R ...Pray tell, is that a compliment? Slang makes no sense to me.
2:02 is my fav.
I like the ending if it the most
