In 2019, I first heard the Max Morath Quartet's renditions of popular ragtime pieces. They really breathed authentic life into them that felt true to the era they were conceived. I was 12 years old at the time. Later that same year, I was in North Carolina when I located a Max Morath: The World of Scott Joplin record, which contained this song. I later collected all the other records in the Scott Joplin series. I was deeply distressed when I heard he had died on June 19, 2023, at the age of 96. I didn't hear until months later.

Ivers & Pond uprights are fantastic like any old upright once they have a rebuild, this is a perfect example of why it's ALWAYS worth restoring an old upright!

Thanks for the kind words! I will play at ragtime festivals pretty regularly, but I don't to many "gigs" in the traditional sense. An occasional house concert or solo recital has been known to pop up though.
