this foundation is so bomb especially if you're looking for a radiant, glow from within finish but not overly dewy. I'd say good for combo or dry skin. for some reason, this foundation wears better when I don't wear primer with it... really strange!

I like it better without primer, also. I tried it with the ELF matte poreless putty primer, and I thought it looked really bad. My pores looked like polkadots.

I wonder if the Elf angled sponge (the silicon bottom) will apply it nicer without having to use as much product.

I just ordered mine. I’m super curious how it works on mature skin. I just turned 54 a few days ago with “normal” skin. I personally like a dewy glow (I don’t have oily skin at all), so I’m curious how it’ll look on me. I can’t wait to review it on my channel as most of my subscribers are over 40+. Love this look, I think the skin looks amazing and seamless. Haven’t tried charlottes complexion but this is definitely tempting!
I never tried anything from Charlotte Tilbury but I'm waiting for the Elf Cosmetics Camo Powder Foundation to come back in stock. Colourpop's Pretty Fresh Tinted Moisturizer/ Foundation/ concealer are my favorite complexion products since I do have oily skin.
I have dry skin and when I apply with a brush (BK101) it sat on top of my skin and was streaky but I’ve had better luck with applying it with my fingers like it needed the heat of my hands to melt it into my skin. I wasn’t super impressed but did like it later in the day as it held up well for me and looked slightly more radiant as the day went on. It was medium coverage but still looked somewhat makeup-y on me. I like the L’Oréal Age Perfect serum foundation and Estée Lauder futurist hydrating foundations better still. I’m 46 with dry skin.

Love the sponge side more, so smooth and natural. The other side looks a little patchy. Bought it as well and love it
Your makeup reviews are my favorite ones on YT! I also use three primers.... AOA Hydrating primer. Elf Mint Melt primer, and the Elf putty primer. I was thrilled to see you doing something similar to my routine. I always use the Believe Beauty foundation, but will mix in the L'Oreal Fresh Wear foundation for more coverage!

Girl, I don’t know if you’ve tried this foundation with your fingertips but I feel that’s the best method that I have used and I love it for a quick on the go foundation look
I loved that you also applied the foundation the next day. It looks amazing on your skin. Hopefully the putty primer can keep your foundation on your nose. My nose is also the first place to rub off. So frustrating!

@@rajamjoshi2326 Hi!! Overall it is a beautiful foundation but very glowy. I prefer my foundation to be medium to full coverage but I still want it to look skin like which can be harder with a fuller coverage foundation. I have dry skin currently and this foundation when I’ve worn it at work did hold up and that was with wearing a mask. Just make sure skin is moisturized very well and prepped prior to application!! If your skin is oily I don’t recommend this at all unless you set with a mattifying powder!

Hi Jas, I like how the foundation looked on your skin with the initial application. It is pretty and skin like, but with my oily skin I don't think this foundation will last at all on me. So, I will be passing on try this foundation.

Love that you are loving higher end makeup like Charlotte tilbury and makeup by Mario and rare beauty. *some* higher end makeup is just simply expensive because of the name. But the higher end/luxury products you used in this are expensive not only because of packaging and the name, but the INGREDIENTS and formula are sourced from the best and these are Grade A quality materials. Lower end makeup obviously is lower end and cheaper because they can not afford to use grade A quality raw materials. A lot of higher end makeup, you can absolutely tell a difference. When people do the "half expensive side of the face and half drugstore", I can tell within 15 seconds which side is which. This looks great on you! Not to mention better quality base products that sit on your skin all day with grade a quality materials and formulated by the best chemists and in some of the best labs in the world, will be sooooo much better for your skin aging wise as you get older! My mom did a lot of dermatology and aesthetician work. It really is true! There's so much science to back it up. Also, same thing with skincare. You get what you pay for. 💯

We have the same color skin and undertone and just wondering if you liked the way it looked on you? I can’t tell if it’s too dark for me or not lol

I have very dry skin and I love this helps my skin soooo much! Plus my sister has combo skin and looks beautiful but the second try she used diferent primer that helped not get oily!

For someone with such dry skin, this looks like a winner. Almost all foundations are dry on me even with prep.
Firstly, you look absolutely stunning! I found your channel when I saw your IT CC vs Elf Camo and I thought you did an amazing job explaining the differences, the prices, etc. So I went out and bought the Elf Camo and love it. I am an IT girl through and through, however I may be willing to switch. Said all that to say, I am officially subscribed to your channel and have been enjoying your videos. I've seen it repeatedly not work on oily and textured skin. It's the primers you used before applying the actual “beautiful skin”. The primers are doing all the work to support the CT foundation.

Yes agree with your review! CT is not as good with wear like the claim of 16 hours! Nars new light radiance, Shiseiso Synchro and Surratt Dewdrops are all better.

I think having more oil on the face is way better than not having enough moisture and oil. Creepy, crusty skin is not flattering on anyone. You can blot but you can't add more moisture or oil. Great video!!!! Thank you for the next day wear test.

I don't know I prefer this side with the sponge better because it seems like it melted into your skin better whereas the side with the brush it almost looks like it's just sitting on top of your skin. It could just be the video too I don't know but I like the side with the sponge better. I guess it's all just personal preference though. You're stunning either way though!
