Cell service just got restored around 9pm in Jackson and Macon counties but internet is still down (except for satellite). I live in Jackson County...and we lost communications early Friday morning when the creeks and rivers crested their banks...so being able to finally contact people now is such a relief. Our town is running out of gas and food supplies though and I don't think there's a single gallon of milk left in the entire region for kids to have to drink. We're all under a boil water advisory and our own communities are the ones helping each other...we haven't seen any government aid in our area.
