It doesn't happen very often, but sometimes your Apple Watch just gets stuck. The display is frozen and unresponsive to touch or any buttons you press. This may happen with the display on, off, with the Apple logo or even at the setup screen. No matter what situation it is, this method will help you. Please let me know down bellow what was your experience with this process, I am always around.

Mine still won’t restart. It keeps saying that I tried too many passwords and to reset but I didn’t put any passcodes after charging last night. I did everything but still doesn’t work

Having this issue with a series 3. I've tried this hard restart several times and it does nothing different. I believe it was in the middle of a software update when it started. I unpaired it from my phone and now I can't do anything with it, other than charge it. Is there anything else I can try, or do I have to go to the professionals now?

My watch will show the apple after pushing the 2 buttons but goes right back off. Is there anything I can do for that?

I had a Series 1 since they were first released. Got the newest one in Nov. I put the 1st one up til it got closer to my son’s bday. I was going to give my son once he got a phone to pair it to. I’ve charged it overnight. The apple logo keeps flashing and will go red. It worked perfectly until I put it away and didn’t charge it for a few months. I’ve done the reset and everything I’ve seen. Any other solutions?

Same issue for me! Dormant series 1 for over a year. Apple logos flashes for half second and goes non responsive.

I press both buttons even put the watch in the freezer for about 15 minutes the watch apple logo is turning off and on the watch is the 7000 series
That does nothing for me, just goes right to showing the Apple logo. Set it on the charger for 24hrs got home today it showed the red lightening bolt but when I put it back onto the charger it showed the green lightening bolt but then didn't charge.

Mine turns off but when it turns back on it goes back into a reboot for hours at a time

Apple support told me this isn’t working with my 3 series 38mm because it’s no longer compatible with the newest software updates

Nothing worked for mine. Just endless reboots. I ended up taking it apart to try using the screen in one of my projects :)

you show a properly working apple watch that don’t has the bootstuck problem. try it with a appe watch that has the problem. you will be never ever possible to hard reset it with the crown and powerbutton.

Umm help I have a we 1st gen and pretty sure I got water in it and now the touch is unresponsive and stuck in a boot loop which holding the two side buttons doesn’t work

Didn’t work for me. I have series 3 and it went right back to boot looping. No help.
I have a series 3 just over warranty. I take amazing care of it (no one scratch). Sadly one day after charging it the logo was on... and I have tried everything!!! Double press and let go... crown and button. Press and hold the crown by itself, press and hold the button by itself, press and hold both, crown and button... I've done all these with the battery fully charged, I've done it with the battery fully depleted, I've done it while charging it.... nothing works!!
Took it to Apple... They want me to pay them $159 (for a watch that cost $199) to be sent off for repair (their genius people couldn't fix it). Crazy how we keep on buying products that break (or stop working) when the warranty just ended.
Any other ideas anyone?

@@elizabethcounter9823 sorry... Just saw this reply now.... After many tries, I convinced Apple to take it in for free. Next day I got an email saying they didn't do anything to it but that it started working on its own right when they plugged it into their repair system (it just rebooted itself when they connected it to their system)... So they packed it up and sent it back to me that same day. I wear it every day since then and so far so good. No problems or whatsoever.

I did the restart successfully but the screen will not scroll. The digital crown is working so I can see the watch face and the icons but can do nothing more! Help!
