The Brio35 system has an integrated oxygenation chamber, its a special tube with protrusions mixing air with water as it flows down inside the column (no need for a noisy air pump), additionally there is a waterfall feature at the top of the center column creating water surface movement on the aquarium, there is also a flood and drain system feature in the planted garden to oxygenate the roots as well to proliferate the bacterias that are responsible to break down the ammonia in to food for the garden plants, and lastly there is a water reserve in the base (like a sump) that provides surface air exposure with water movements the size of the foot print of the brio35, which is much more oxygenation than a conventional aquarium. If you select fish that requires heated water, you can place our heater (www.brioaquaponics.ca) inside the center column where it is out of view and safe for you fish and plants.
