Emily Woodie I came here ven after watching it, they showed it at my school for a presentation, of course they took Christ out of it but it still shined through the rest of the video
Saw this movie with my best friend of thirty six years. We both were weeping. This movie is absolutely beautiful. People go see it. I expected the Theatre to be packed but instead it was a few chosen people. I'm so glad my best friend and I are chosen. Praise GOD. Hallelujah!!!!!!!!
GOD is so wonderful. His Love is so real. He will use even the movie theater to spread his unconditional Love. Praise GOD and all the Glory to my Lord Jesus Christ. Amen!!!
I just watched this movie, few hours ago, and I went with an open mind. Friends of mine invited me to watch a movie, I didn't catch the name of the movie, but I still agreed to go see it. It was powerful, this movie came to me like a prayer. God answered by taking me to my old friends and going to see a movie that I've not heard of, nor did I get to hear the title of it till the movie started. It touched my heart and soul, it really did. Thank you!
This song was one that got me through the time when my son was in a coma, with very life-threatening injuries, after a car crash (his friend fell asleep at the wheel). Then when he started recovering, and developed a deep love for Christ and Christian music, it became his 'theme song' - since he had a leg amputated after the accident - "Will I dance in your presence, will I be able to speak at all?" I have no doubt whatsoever that he WILL dance in God's presence...
This movie gave me the answer that for many years i implored God to show me . Instead invest in pain , i must only invest in LOVE ! I'm learning how to forgive myself for being my own enemy.
The words to this song bring tears to my eyes. He definitely made a joyful noise! I want to see my Savior's face. Moody, one of the greatest evangelist to have ever lived, was asked on his deathbed what was the first thing he was going to do when he got to heaven. He said, "going to stare at my Savior's face for the first thousand years." 💕💕
I just saw this movie. I'm not "RELIGIOUS", but this movie had me in tears. The plot kept my normally short attention span fully engaged. The acting wasn't "cheesy" like most Christian movies. And Dennis gave an Oscar-worthy performance. I highly recommend this movie, B.Y.O.K! (bring your own Kleenex)
What a movie...A lot of us had dads such as this or close to it. The last 2 yrs of my dads life when he got Parkinson’s brought us to reconciliation that I thought was impossible. With God the father, it wasn’t. No regrets because of Jesus.
I WATCHED THE MOVIE TODAY!!!! I cried soooo much. Its extremely relatable to me. You’ll learn more about his father and how he changes JURISTICALLY throughout the movie. Thank you so much for making this movie whoever did it was a five star all the way, and it’s relatable, especially during his past relationship with his father. (Ps: LOVE YOU MICHAEL W. SMITH AND AMY GRANT!)
If you haven't seen this movie, please do yourself a favor....go see it today!! I was crying before it started because I sensed it touching me and cried through most of it!! I watched God transform my Mother 2 years before she died! She was saved and is now home with the Lord!! Glory to God!!❤❤❤❤
Mihai Grim Nah, I’m straight, just wondering why exactly you feel that it’s necessary to come on a trailer for a Christian movie and bash someone for their beliefs.
Alright, this may sound odd but I have a very personal connection to this song and this movie surprises and amazes me to be coming out now. Years ago my grandfather (who basically raised me because my parents were still in high school) passed away. For his funeral I played this song on guitar while singing in front of the church. I broke down once and had to start over but I'm glad i did it. Fast forward to a few weeks ago. I've been basically living with my girlfriend and her parents for the past 4.5 years and got close to her family. Recently her mom passed away pretty suddenly. I decided I would play "I Can Only Imagine" for her funeral as well since she loved when when I played guitar or piano for her and because of how special the song is to me. That funeral was on Sunday, three days ago. I just learned today that a movie of the making of this song was coming out and in TWO DAYS. I'm probably just being emotional but this seems very special to me. I'm not normally a very religious person but maybe this movie can be special to me just like the song is. Anyway, thank you anyone who took time to read my story. No real purpose to this, I just felt like writing and sharing. Looking forward to seeing this like most of you!
I can relate so much with the story of the movie. I have same experiences at some point of my life with my Dad similar with Bart's. When my Dad and I had a very good man-to-man conversation in our dinner table he told me about his failures and dreams. He told me to be a good Dad when my time comes. Few months after that he passed away. This movie reminds me of him.
This movie took my breath away, this is such a inspiring and uplifting movie! I thank mercy me for sharing such a personal story and writing such blessed beautiful music that touches our lives.
I'm going to see this tomorrow night, make sure I have plenty of tissues. I loved this song the first time I heard it speaks to the heart. The word tells we overcome by the words of our testimony and the blood of the Lamb! To God Be The Glory!
I love the song and this movie looks amazing. This song has been important to me for all my life really. When i was about 5 my grandma died. They played this song at her funeral. This song was really the only thing i rememebered. I just didnt rememeber the words or the name. Just the piano. And now that i heard the song the really remember every word of it. This is really amazing. I cant wait for the movie. And im learning the song now on the piano. I cant wait to finally get it down.
If you're thinking about going to see this... DO IT! I just saw it and I don't regret it at all. I've cried for very very few movies, but this one made me cry multiple times. It's nothing but beautiful and inspirational.
This song means so much 2 me and really help to get me through some very hard times. During these hard times I met a girl who went by Bri. This was her one of her favorite songs. I have not seen her in at least a year but if you see this Bri, I never will forget you and all the other people we met there. Thank you.
I just got goose bumps all over my body. Love this song, I know all the words by heart from playing it so much!! Want it played at my services when I go home to meet My Lord!!!!
I like how the film has a strong message that can easily resonate with the audience. The film was based on a true story. This fact automatically makes the message stronger because it is truth-filled and motivated by experience. It was also partially written by the real protagonist in the story, Bart Millard, who started a band - MercyMe. By having the protagonist as the writer, it gives credibility to the story. The movie has a very positive effect; I will address key aspects that were particularly striking in the film and the overall qualities that made it a fantastic movie. For me personally, some of the most powerful parts of the movie were in the scenes of Bart interacting with his abusive father. There were scenes that portrayed Bart as a young child of maybe 8 or 10 hearing his father verbally and physically abuse his mother. At one point, his father beat him and threatened him. Scenes like this teach the audience to be aware of the real attitude of abusers. In these scenes, I also think that is shows how the movie is skillfully developed. The music and the acting strongly portray the reality and intensity of abusive households. For this reason, I would not recommend the movie for younger viewers. The movie is also very inspiring because Bart never gave up on his dreams. He went after his passion for music. It helped console him after his traumatic childhood and home experiences. His father even told him in one scene: “Dreams don’t pay the bills. Nothing good ever comes from it.” As he grew up, he pursued his dreams even after being told to give up in multiple scenes. This can inspire people to look into their own lives and to not give up on what’s important to them. This may be a big dream, or it could be small, simple things. It could be life in the office or a busy mom-life. The audience members can reflect on their own lives and be encouraged to never give up. In conclusion, even though the movie is biased in a Christian way, I would still say the it has an overall sense balance. The movie itself is very well-done and I greatly enjoyed it. At the end of the movie, Bart stands triumphant. The stage lights glare and he realizes he’s gotten to where he wants to be despite all the hardships he had been through. This speaks to how human persons are held together in faith and hope; these are values that pertain to people of all religions. The message can hold true for anyone, and anyone can appreciate it.
I watched this movie when it first came out maybe about 2-3 months ago And I can honestly say this film changed my life before watching this I was filled with so much pain that I was holding in from people who have hurt me in the past after watching this I changed my lifestyle into firmly believing in forgiveness I can't thank the creators of the song or the movie enough with this change of Lifestyle I am more happy and more free than I've been in a long time and I can honestly say I'm a better person than I was before I had all this pain was trapped inside me
Man its cool to see this! I remember first hearing this in church when I was around 12. I've been listening to every once in while over the years. Now 7-8 years later the song has become movie. So much good meaning
They played this song at my sister's funeral, that was the worst day of my life, but I love this song. I just cry like a baby every time I hear it. RIP Bebop.

I saw this last night. It was very good. Seriously. Very touching story about redemption and forgiveness, and I found it very exciting as a song writer.
I saw the prescreening and it was simply, an amazing movie with such depth and profound meaning. The very thing that we are missing in Hollywood by a million percent. Amazing acting, brilliant true life story with so much heart ache, reality of family pains and sufferings and ultimate victory.
I just got out of the movie. AWSOME... Mercy Me sang this song, and. I CAN ONLY IMAGINE was my grandmothers favorite song. She died 2 days before Christmas that year. Because of a head injury I forgot the name of the group and song. So from 1999 to 2017 I couldn't remember it. When I did, I was at work and I broke down crying. I felt like I had let my grandmother down. I wish she had lived long enough to see the movie to her favorite song. I can only imagine is the only song I've ever heard them sing. Anything else would be like crumbs falling from crust of your favorite pie. Good, but nothing beats that filling. ( I CAN ONLY IMAGINE ) Is still #1 to me.
My father went to be with the Lord last week after becoming ill with a neurological illness. For many years we were estranged and didn't get on, I put him through a lot and was rebellious..but in the last few years the Lord brought us back together and healed our relationship and I helped my mum nurse him in the time of his great need. He went to be with the Lord in victory and I got to tell him how much I loved him. This film touched in to my spirit in so many ways that I can't even explain ..I watched it before my Father became ill. I praise God in Jesus Christ for my Father's life and the impact he has made it on me and my family, he was a strong man who loved Jesus and he was a warrior in every sense of the word. Precious times shared with him in his last few years and grateful that we reconciled before he went to be with the King of Kings. Xx
Gosh, I can't wait to see this.. I swear, think I met this guy on a flight to Tulsa once.. anyways I can't wait to watch this, I deal with some serious anxiety and this song has helped me..
AND FINALLY,,, MYSELF, AND MY TWO GIRLS GOT TO GO SEE THIS MOVIE. TRIED TO GET MY HUSBAND TO COME, WHICH HE DID NOT. WE CRIED A LOT WATCHING THIS MOVIE.. A FEW TEARS AT FIRST.. WATCHING MY 7 YEAR OLD THE FIRST TIME I SAW TEARS WAS WHEN THE MOM LEFT, SECOND TIME WAS WHEN HE FOUND HIS DAD BEATING UP THE JEEP. EVERY MOMENT COUNTS,, I PRETTY MUCH KEEP MY CAMERA BY MY SIDE, AS IF I COULD FREEZE ALL THE PRECIOUS MEMORIES,, FREEZE TIME! I WISH.. THIS SONG IS COMFORTING, THANKFUL FOR THE SONG, AND THE MOVIE!! MY FAVORITE PART IS WHEN HE WAS ON STAGE THE SECOND TIME SINGING IT..
Bart, God bless you! Remember, no surprise, Satan always tries to snuff out the gift in one - as God gives the gift to be a blessing! So proud of you! Keep being one of Gods Co-Pilots! Those that want upon the Lord SHALL renew their strength....!!!!
Yes 100% must watch movie. This made me cry, been listening to this music like years ago never thought there's a movie and that it would touch me to the core. God really moves in mysterious way❤❤❤
Just seen this movie tonight and it really touched my heart lost my 21 year old sister December 2016 and just this past December i lost my father . i been dealing with so much anger that i wanna get rid of and i was shown the way after seeing this movie. Amen Jesus christ
Me and my cousin and auntie took us to see this Movie called I can only image based on Religion and at the end it made me Cry? This is a beautiful song
This is a great and powerful film of the Bart Millard whose song inspired me as I struggled with my faith and my family. I love the song and the film. A must-see film!
His story is one of many, the Devil tries to cover up the beauty of God, have it be his music, his people (just like this) with pain or his stories with something bigger and more interesting to our minds
The best true story movie! If Tatinic is #1 this is #2 the best true story. Everyone was crying last night at the movie theater. People love it and everyone clap their hands after watching it.
Great great great movie!!!! I cried from the beginning to the credits..such an amazing story.. very similar story regarding my husband and his late father..I know god is working through him..I see he is at battle within himself and I pray that he truly knows god is the only way and answer to everything and I just hope and pray he realizes this isn’t all we have....our final home is not of this earth but with his father and our Heavenly Father...
You know it’s a gonna be a good movie when I’m already crying from the trailer

Mihai Grim Did that make you feel better?
It will. The world just has to want to listen. We can't make them cause it would go against free will. Just pray for the best.

His story is one of many, the Devil tries to cover up the beauty of God, have it be his music, his people (just like this) with pain or his stories with something bigger and more interesting to our minds
