Great! Thanks Patrick
Still at St Pat's; God Bless! dan & pat
What a beautiful conversation! I'm so grateful for this blast from the past
I loved your book Mary! Great read! Wonderful interview! Always will love the Waltons!
The more I find out about the Walton family, the more I appreciate this series. God loves you, Patrick, so do I.
Thank you both for this interview! I still really like this show so much as an adult!
Just a wonderful show. I still learn from this show. DVD collection....my treasure.
Once I started listening to it, I couldn't stop. I also enjoyed all the photos that were shared, and, of course, the video footage.
It's so uplifting hearing an uplifting conversation of something that was so dear to many of our hearts - perhaps far too long ago.
What a treat! Thank you Mary and Patrick for you generosity.
Yes, we all loved to be a part of the family Walton's! OH, YES!
Thank you, also, for the photos!
I found this completely by accident (but then again, maybe not?). What a great Christmas gift! I have the whole series on DVD and run an episode every Thursday night. This show is a diamond in a field of rhinestones, and none of the trash that they’re airing today can hold a candle to it. I too read Mss McDonough’s book and found it fascinating. Thank you, Patrick, and thank you, Miss McDonough, for such a great gift! Gob bless you both!
Such a brilliant interview. Thank you. 🙏💜🏡
I enjoyed listening to Patrick's conversation with Mary McDonough.
Her and I could be related.
I so loved this show and waych it e ery night even now. It is like a hug. I actually told my husband when we bought our dining room table that i wanted a wooden table with two benches like the waltons. So we got an infinished set and he finished it beautifully for me. I love it to this day. God bless you
What an excellent interview- loved every moment! A true fan ☺️
I enjoyed Patrick Madrid's interview with Mary McDonough's about her role and experiences as Erin in The Walton's TV series. I hope there would be more interviews with the other cast members if the show
This has been such a great interview with Mary Beth Mcdonough.she is truly amazeing with how she tells her life of being on the waltons. Mary Beth you remind me so much of myself when I was young with things I went through . you are so beautiful❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ sweet and kind.
Yes it was a family show but some episodes dealt with very important subjects.
Class, race, book-burning, death antisemitism, the occult and war. I really enjoyed growing up on this show!
A fabulous gift to me to sit here on my sofa being mesmerized by the stories from Mary and all he thoughtful interview questions. It brought back those fond feelings from those yesteryears. I was four when I watched the Homecoming. I loved it soooo much then and have looked forward to watching at Christmas time. Thank you for the blessings of this long legacy of love and family! ❤
So many kid actors from that era went off the rails with all sorts of trouble. I've never heard of anything like that happening with any of these kids who played on the Waltons. I wonder how that happened as these kid actors became so famous and probably well-paid.
Grew up with the Waltons. Love this show!!
Nice to hear the behind the scenes!
Such a beautiful show!!😊
Thank you so much for your narrative...I feel the same way about understanding more when we are older re-watching...such a priceless prize...thank you, again!
Delightful! Mary is a treasure! Thanks for this interview. ❤
I LOVED this!!! Thank you Patrick and Mary! Hands down best Waltons interview ever! I hope you do more! It would so fun to have a whole bunch of the cast interviewed in the same show. And I grew up with the Waltons too thanks to my grandma and auntie. I am so thankful for that show that continues to inspire me.
My family loved and still do love the Waltons! Mary, thank you for taking the time and talking with Patrick in this video! I hope there will be fabulous shows for my grandchildren💕. My daughter & son-in-law will put these shows on for their children to enjoy ❤️
Since day one there has never been another television series based on a by past era of a family that was touching in so many ways. Each actor portrayed their character without even having to act as how I saw it. I was so immersed in this series because I was always able to watch without constantly being reminded that this was just television. It was so believable and had the ability to reach deep into the souls of every viewer. I still watch "The Homecoming more than once at Christmas and other times throughout the years. As a kid I used to think "Wow, I wonder what it's like to grow up with so much love and understanding from parents and Grandparents!" I just fell in love with every character and like you couldn't see anybody else playing these parts. In saying that I couldn't see anyone else playing "The Homecoming" because that's where it all started. God Bless them all here and gone for giving us such deeply embedded loving memories into so many lives.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
What a great interview.
I was the 6th child out of eight kids myself. We grew up much like this but we did not have a lot of land. Times were hard back in the 50s. I was born in 1948...so yea, I enjoy watching the Waltons.
hi Mary thank you so much for discussing the series on the waltons and your character as Errin Walton. i love hearing you talk sweetly about Each TV Character and your co Stars. i love all the Waltons and the shows . i hope to meet all of you soon. inhad planned to fly out to waco for the Walton fest, but things here at home arise and now i won't be able to make it. i am working on writeing my first book you are my inspiration. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Loved the Waltons and watch reruns ever night. This is wonderful watching these interviews.
I love the Walton’s ..
I started reading Mary’s book recently
Such an awesome interview! I was nine years old when The Homecoming aired, and I remember watching The Walton's for a while, but of course Daddy owned the TV, and we had to watch what he wanted. So my memories of the show are more the cast of characters, not episodes. The last few months I have been watching The Walton's on Amazon Prime, Freevee, every night. Unfortunately they do not show the first season, which is a huge bummer. I am now on season 8, episode 7, and I am so in love with the Walton family!!! I haven't cried so much since my son passed in 1989. But as in the words of my favorite Walton, Grandpa, "it's a good cry"!!!
I just want to say, thank you, Mary, I definitely will be looking for your book's.
Again, what a great interview, THANK YOU!!! 🌼
I sooo enjoyed this interview. Thank you so much!!😃😃
Thank you for the wonderful interview. Mary is my favorite Walton! I grew up watching the Waltons every Thursday night. Now as an adult, I watch the reruns too! You get a very different perspective of the show as an adult from watching it as a child. And you get much more appreciation for it as well. Thank you again for the great interview and Mary’s book is really good!
Listened tonight and truly enjoyed!! Thank you!
This reporting of The Daltons is Awesome!❤
*Waltons❤
The Dalton. Gang?
Thanks Patrick, and Mary.
I love this show! I have the complete series and any movies made of The Waltons, Little House on the Prairie and Dr. Quinn, Medicine Woman on dvds. I think I was born in the wrong generation. Lol
This is so moving! Even though the actors are a really family, I see all of them as individuals. Mary is gorgeous and she has a very special look that is like no one I ever met, not anymore in my own family or any of my sister's girlfriends. I am a vietnam veteran and never met anyone like Judy, Mary or Kami. No one ever came close. These 3 women are too rare to be like other women.
Thank you thank you.👏👏🙏💕🙏
Wounderful interview.. Patrick in Ireland
Sure enjoyed the interview with Mary . It's been a year since you've posted it on u- tube. I always enjoy the u- tube videos that Judy put out there.
I am going to re-watch the whole series!
Great conversation! Mary seems so down-to earth as the whole cast is. Who else have you interviewed, Patrick?
Yes absolutely beautiful 💞
I’ve always loved The Waltons , it’s been a very big part of my life and I still enjoy watching it today . All the characters were absolutely fantastic . I thought Mary Ellen and Erin were very beautiful but by the 9th season when I was 15 or so it was Elizabeth I had a huge tv crush on , lol - sorry Mary , I still think your very beautiful though !
Interesting. I always thought she was the prettiest Walton. Well, right behind Michael Learned. After seeing the Waltons, I wanted my confirmation name to be Michael but Sister Mary Gilbert probably wouldn't have none of it.
Speaking of Kami I just couldn't believe how with each season her hair got thicker and thicker and yes thicker. Today I believe I've never seen anyone with so much beautiful hair. So Mary.....what was her secret because if she has one she'd be an instant Millionaire.👍😉❤
⭐⭐⭐⭐
The part of her that lets her cry easily is the same part that is sensitive to a there needs
Drew wasn’t married and what about Jim Bob. He got skipped
4 thumbs down???
Patrick with all due respect I thought I was listening to a long monolog with you eulogizing this show. Give the woman a chance to talk. Come on over ten minutes I wasn't sure if she was ever going to get a chance to talk. Just my own personal observation.
The conversation with Mary starts just after 10 minutes into the video. Thank you for your comment, Alain!
The monologue was intended to introduce to the radio audience the reason and back story for what followed.
