However when we install aluminum railing, attaching the stringers to the rim joist and making the first step level with the deck requires 2 extra aluminum posts and extra railing in order to make it out to the bullnose. Most of our customers opt to save that extra expense. It's a great idea if you don't need railing for a deck under 30" or you don't mind the extra expense.

That's a no for me. Angle brackets from stringer to attaching ledger. Also structural screws into stringer from attaching ledger
