BTW thanks for the video! I was actually looking for such a solution. I just got an IC-718 and got the Windcamp connector for the back of the radio. The original cigarette lighter style power cord has a small fuse in it and using the Windcamp connector you no longer have a fused connector! The device you highlighted in your video is a great solution. I did come up with a solution but not as nice as what you have highlighted. It's in the memory bank of solutions. Thanks.
Thanks that helps. I know they can be put together black on left as I have done it and had to tear it apart and put it together again. In a way XT-60's and XT-90's are a better deal and can't be accidentally reversed. The Anderson red and black connectors are identical. If you're color blind or half awake you can get them reversed. I do have them on lots of my stuff.
I agree that they can be reversed, but if the connectors are linked together in the proper polarity, it should not be an issue. I am interested in the XT style connectors. Thanks for watching,
Nice outfit. Just looking at it I would wonder why the red and black are switched across from each other. The circuit board must keep everything correct.
Good question. The general standard for power poles is the red is on the right. Power poles are keyed so the can only connect one way. The paths are crossed on the circuit board to insure proper polarity is maintained.
Useful video, and I'm glad it's getting some buyers for an etsy seller. But, what's up with the woman in the halter top in the thumbnail? Smacks of K6UDA. Unnecessary.

I'm sold out! I'm expecting more boards any day now. Thanks everyone!! 73,
Thanks Tim! Perfect for my FT-891 Explorer backpack. Also, it was nice to meet you at Dayton Hamvention 2024. Take care
Same here my friend. I just built 2 more of them to keep with my portable gear.
Thanks Tim! Great build video! 73,

Nifty, Just using the blade fuses and terminals is smaller and cheaper though. Don't need another set of Andersons or the plastic casings.

Hahaha. Sold out. Nice video!
Yes - I'm expecting more boards any day! 73,
There's a voltage protection kit with a similar form factor that's good for everything but batteries.
Thank you
