The choke and gas on/off switch's are what you are referring too. May need to move the choke lever which I believe is the top one of the two to get it to start in colder weather. I would also recommend that when you use it for the last time in late winter or spring you shut off the gas lever and let it run out of gas's before letting it sit a few months. This will keep your carburetor clean while not in use. Thanks for sharing a look at this log splitter I've been looking for a new one. You know some people say cutting/splitting fire wood is the foundation of youth, it's keeps you "rusting up" in the winter...🙃
@@michiganracer1181 I plan on putting it away pretty soon and will do exactly what you suggested in regards to positioning the gas lever and running it out of the balance of the gas. Thanks for the good advise!!
Great video, thanks for posting. I have split with this unit as well and have split larger logs in the vertical position and smaller logs in the horizontal position. It saves your back a bit as well as you just kind of roll the big logs over instead of lifting them up into the tray.
@@kyleflood6173 if wood was $$ , for sure. 👍 It’s just nice to know I got the winter covered as I’d rather not give it to the natural gas companies Thanks
