It's every person choice to follow Allah commandments or not . I also dont wear hijab at the early age but in my opinion pressuring someone to wear hijab without letting them know the real purpose behind it is wrong forcing is not right. But Alhumdulillah now i wear it because of Allah commandments not because of someone pressure my parents never force hijab on me but they always say it that it's good if you wear it.
Actually, for a kafir(disbeliever) it is a choice whether he accepts islam or not. Muslims can't force him,according to Surah Baqarah. But once a person enters islam, he or she becomes an "Abd" of Allah. He or she has to obey what Allah says. Otherwise the islamic government will force him. But nowadays there is no islamic system anywhere

Hijab is a choice. Allah has obligated but at the end of the day, Allah has also given us free will to choose for ourselves, the right and the wrong. Choosing hijab is fulfilling a command by Allah. Same way how namaz is farz but we choose for ourselves to pray or not. The choice, is our test in this dunya.

Guys, you both are right... I guess how you choose to use the word 'choice' matters. If the context is, is Hijab a choice in islam? Then No... but does Allah give us the free will to 'choose' not to obey His commands, Yes, but do these choices come without consequences? No.
What choices we make determine whether we attain Jannah or not, but of course with Allah's mercy.
