Hey Tanya, even with your grandma being a resident (unless she has citizenship you would need to get a visa to come work or live here). I would say if you want to live in London you need to earn much more. than living in other parts of the UK. Outside of London the average household income is around 40k, in London it is much higher. It really depends on your living standards of course.
I wanted to live UK in near future with my 4 beautiful children just to experienced something new to improvement on life than living in America as it’s. I have been living in USA all my life as disability person felt it’s time for change.

I enjoyed visiting London years ago but imagine its more expensive than NY. How does a person who makes modest income live there or get legal status I have a sister who wants to move there one day
I’d say London is a bit more affordable than NYC. And most people in London get slightly higher salaries due to cost of living in London. But I’d say a lot of people live outside of london and commute into the city to work. So you get the higher salary but live somewhere cheaper (if you can’t afford london)
No it’s not a requirement. I just have one and it strengthened my application and also made it easier for my employer to justify I was the right person for the role because of my masters degree.
As an American you can come to visit London for 3 months without a visa. This would be a tourist visa so you can’t work. If you want to work in the UK you’ll need to get a visa to stay.

Thanks
Hey John! Best of luck with your move to London! I am not sure I can help you much because I have never been here on a student visa. They are very different to a Tier 2 work visa. When you are in the UK for under 6 months as an American you can stay as a 'visitor' so long as you are not earning an income it should be fine. Also you should be ok to study for a short period of time. But I recommend checking all guidelines on what you can or cannot do on www.gov.uk/ website.

Best to check out gov.Uk for full regulations. But if you fly in and out of LONDON for short periods of time you should be fine
Hello I liked watching your video. I very much want to move to London I am an American as well But I go on holiday to London twice a year and I have friends who live there and cousins but I’m not too close with my family there but I go anyway for holidays and I am planning to actually go for five months starting this May to study there online but not at a school in the UK I’m trying to finish to get my bachelors degree because I study online at home and I was thinking to come for five months to London to study online but in London and stay in an Airbnb and do I need to have a visa for that because I’m not staying six months or longer I’m only gonna stay for five months however I also have questions to ask you because I plan to move there one day to stay forever. I’m also from California but I go to Arizona State University and I take online classes I really want to move to London and stay there for the rest of my life I’ve always wanted to do this , I see myself very happy there so it will be nice if we can get in touch or if you have a Facebook or Instagram or if you wanna message me I have questions to ask, that would be extremely nice and helpful for me . Thanks
Are work from home jobs possible in the UK? I mean, can I get the work visa get to the UK and work from home for the company?
It would depend on the company. If the company allowed for only work for home it would be a slim chance they would sponsor a visa to be in the UK
Hi I'm a Trinidadian, and would like to come and work part-time 🙂 any advice would be appreciated 😊
Check out gov.uk to figure out which type of visa you would need to work part time!

I feel like I’m under qualified to be sponsored 😩
Don’t worry. You just have to find the right company to sponsor you and make sure the job fits your skill set. Might take time but trust me you’ll get there!
@@AllAboutAnika I work in Licensing/Sales and it seems like all the sponsorships are for the healthcare and software engineering fields :'( I'll keep looking though!
I had a sales job at a tech company for my first role. Loop holes ;)
@@AllAboutAnika Ooooo!!!! you're giving me hope
@@AllAboutAnika how many years of experience did you have at that point? I only have 3 years excluding internships. was in coordinator roles but looking to apply upwards
I saw your gardening video and thought , you are indian origin British living alone for some reason. But your accent popped up a bit ,and thought you watch too many movies .😂😂🤣

Doesnt look like american..
Is there a look of an ‘American’?
How can you “look American”?
My thoughts exactly....
Doesn't matter how you look. It matters how you sound.
