Woo hoo, so excited to see this new series start!! Great first video, I literally laughed out loud when you told Dee "it's called robbery if you go when it's closed" . You guys are great!!
Yeah, and then that crew member was right there in the office with the door open as we walked by talking loudly about robbing the place... ooooops!! :P
That was too funny... I was just filming a theater shot, not intending to use the audio, and she's running comedy in the background, ha ha... had to keep that in there! :D
We traveled on Enchantment a couple years ago, which was a sister of Grandeur -- I remember the statue on the dining room stairs, on Enchantment it was Liza.
We were eyeing the Enchantment out of Baltimore for April 2021, back before that became a lost cause, hah... I'm sure we'll sail her eventually. Looks like fun!! :D
Sitting here watching your 2018 Grandeur cruise to the New England States. I have been on that ship about three times and love it. I also love The Explorer. I was on this last year and went where you went. I had to laugh when you came upon the naked lady with the owl statue. My sister wanted her picture of her so she sat on the platform and just as I went to take the picture, she reached up and cupped her boob. So funny.
Classic, ha ha... we hope to sail the Grandeur one last time in October before she's slated to leave service next year, but we shall see! I'm not sure what her fate will be now that Pullmantr doesn't seem to be operating with the old Royal ships as was planned!!
Awesome!! We love the Grandeur itinerary because it includes Bar Harbor, and some of the other options don't. We had so much fun too, and glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise as well! :D
Oh wow, I hope for a speedy recovery!! Maybe we can at least provide a giggle or three, ha ha... and I suppose laughter is the best medicine? Ehhh... debatable... :D
Love your cruise blogs reviews. The humor you put into them makes me crack up. My 9 yr old boy loves the faces you make he tells me that you look like Homer Simpson from the show the Simpson's which he loves. He asked if we ever meet you in a cruise he needs to meet you.
Yay! Your back! Can't wait to watch this vlog. I did my first Royal this past March and saw the Granduer in Bermuda last week! Hope you had a great trip!
Yaay!! So excited for these vlogs! I am SO wanting to do a Canada/New England cruise sometime, hopefully in the semi-near future, and I've been so excited for your vlogs and thoughts on not only the ports & itinerary but also RCI. Also looking forward to Dee's OOTD video! #woohoo!
We really enjoyed it, but next time we would probably pick fall over spring, just to see the leaves changing and all that. We'll probably end up on another northern loop in a few years, ha ha... And hey, wait a minute... who says it's just Dee's OOTD, eh? Maybe I'm in there as well!! :P
ParoDeeJay that's exactly what we were wanting to do - a fall cruise up the east coast. The only downside is the fares are usually SO much more expensive in the fall. 😭 Bahaha. Well, then I'm looking forward to BOTH of y'all's OOTDs. 😉😅
Eh, true. We still might eventually eyeball a Carnival sailing sometime in a September a few years down the road maybe... even though they skip Bar Harbor, and we did enjoy that stop.
Oh man you guys.... NACHO MAMAs is definitely something i have to check out! Im a huge Elvis fan! When we sail from Baltimore, were going to have to do that for sure! That best western looks really nice! Great first video. Cant wait ti see the rest!
That place is so eclectic, hah... velvet Elvises (or is it Elvii) all over the wall... big ol' hubcap drinks... and the food was really good! We took a Lyft down there because parking tends to be evil in downtown Baltimore, plus... margaritas... so yeah. It's on the same street as the hotel, but about a mile away. Great place!! :D
THE VLOGS ARE FINALLY BACK!!! Here we go... # ParoDeeJay #Cruisemas #Rockon #🤘 Is this a hint towards a merch store??? I know the answer... For now... But to be honest they had some great ideas! So happy y'all are back!
Awesome! We had a great time overall, and we're hoping we can make a New England and Canada run again in the fall in a few years. It should be nice with all the leaves and everything that time of year... I'm sure you'll have a blast! :D
Lovely video! I went on the Grandeur last year (my FIRST cruise with Royal Carribean) and it was splendid! Little minor disturbances, but no big issue. Hope you enjoyed your trip!
We did! We had a ton of fun. A few hiccups and a little learning curve since we'd never sailed Royal before. But we'd totally sail this same itinerary and same ship again. So fun!! :D
I'm a recent subscriber via Sean & Stef and it's fun seeing my city through your eyes as I catch up on your older videos... good call going to Nacho Mama's over a chain you can probably get at home. The looks on your faces were typical of first timers to Team Hubcap! I'm spoiled having Grandeur in my backyard, a 20 minute Uber ride away.
That's actually a No Boundaries from Walmart a few seasons back, ha ha... she gets the most compliments on that. And of course, we're giving our version of an OOTD video at the end of this series with all the exciting fashion details!! :P
Revisiting this one as I eat lunch... 14:08 "Maybe one day, we'll be cool." Royal Caribbean: "Here, have double points through the end of 2022!" Jay makes video declaring himself cool when he first enters a Royal Diamond Lounge in 2022.
Woohoo... hope you have a great time on the Grandeur! We were sad to hear she's leaving the fleet in early 2021, but we've excited to possibly sail the Enchantment when she replaces the Grandeur!!
Hey guys! Excited for your videos on this cruise. Husband and I did New England and Canada last fall and really enjoyed the itinerary and cooler weather. It inspired us to book a Pacific Northwest/San Francisco cruise for this September. Love your energy! Keep 'em coming. 👍
Awesome! Yes, we'd love to go back north during the fall, and we might try to pull that off sometime in the future. We've got Alaska booked for next year, but just a Pacific Northwest cruise up the coast sounds like it would be fun too. Wow!! :D
Starting to binge this series as I work my way through your older stuff. You were hilarious in this! 😂 I'm excited for more as my Canada/ New England was cancelled for this fall. Thanks for this!
Damn, they love you!!! Coming to the vacation bearing thoughtful gifts. As to the vlogs, very interested to see how long it takes for you to not feel like fishes out of water.
They bribe us to be their "travel planners" ha ha... not like an agent, but I plan the walking tours and the excursions and stuff like that. Too funny! And yes, we had a few small bumps but we fell right into the cruisin' flow pretty much right away. Loved it!! :D
The first time we wet on the Lady G I did not like it. I was so used to CCL. Went on the G again and enjoyed it, and have another booked for January 2019. I did the NE/Canada cruise on CCL and it did not include Bar Harbor. I don't know where you kids are from, but we love sailing out of Baltimore because it is only just over a 2 hr drive and the parking is so easy there.
This was our very first Royal Caribbean ship, but we went into it, expecting a whole new experience. And that's what we got, and we didn't mind a bit. We had a few bumps along the way, but we'd definitely love to try the Grandeur again! We're down by Virginia Beach, so we only have a 4-5 hours drive to get to Baltimore, really. Love it!! :D
Ah, is that what they're called? Now that I think of it, my aunt makes a similar oatmeal-coconut cookie that we call a "cowboy cookie" hah... makes sense!! :D
Yes indeed! We always use the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell Street for our Baltimore needs. Their park & cruise package is one night with free breakfast and shuttle both ways. The cost works out to just about the same as parking at the pier, so we always love the relaxed feeling of arriving a day ahead and letting someone else handle the driving to and from the port. :D
The next time you come to Baltimore and visit Nacho Mamas, you MUST try their Macho Nachos. But just ONE for your whole table because its a giant pile of delicious nachos. I made the mistake of ordering one just for myself as an appetizer and it became my entire meal with about 3/4 to take home with me. I'd be happy to let you know about the other amazing places to eat and drink around that area near the Best Western should you take Grandeur or the Carnival Pride
Oh wow, yes we barely scratched the surface at Nacho Mama's, I feel... that place was fun! We'll be back in Baltimore in November with Ricky & Laura in tow again, so who knows what nonsense we'll get up to then!! :D
This is our absolute favorite vlog of yours. We have t watch it every few months in order to feel right with the world! 😁. Thanks so much for sharing this wonderous adventure!
Mr Jay, you are really a blast, and Ms Dee, you shine as the straight man for him. You guys are so much fun to watch. What hotel did you stay in? It looked very nice. I notice that the Pride and Grandeur are never in port at the same time. I guess the Port of Baltimore has limited docking capability.
Thankee!! :D We've always gone with the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell Street on the park & cruise package. Love it! And yes, I think they only have the one port building with one terminal there right now. Not a whole lot of varied business coming through there at the moment, but we still love sailing from Baltimore!
Just went through and watched a bunch of your cruise videos! Very informative and entertaining! Now that that you've been on both Carnival and RC, which ship do you prefer most and why?
Thankee!! Hah, it's hard to say yet since we've only done the one Royal, and it was a different vibe because of the itinerary and average passenger age... :P For now, we still think the Carnival Pride is our favorite ship overall, but we did love the Carnival Magic too... such hard decisions!! The Pride just had a good feel for a medium size ship, with the Renaissance art theme, even though it doesn't have some of the extra features and restaurants. The Magic has the extras and is super clean and modern in design, but it felt a little enclosed at times. We can't wait to try out the Magic's sister ship, the Breeze, in September to see how we feel about that class again.
We enjoyed our first foray into Royal life, and we've got three Royal cruises booked for 2020, as well as two on Norwegian which will be our first try at them. We did a whole Carnival vs Royal video, just based on our limited experience, and there were definitely things that we preferred about each line over the other.
The Grandeur is the only one so far, but we have the Mariner OTS back-to-back in February 2020 visiting the new Coco Cay twice and the Adventure OTS to Bermuda in September 2020... woohoo!!
ParoDeeJay nice!! Someone I work with just went on the mariner, she really liked it. I guess it was just recently redone! I’m going to the new cococay also! In November on the allure of the seas! Very excited.
Heck yeah, I'm thinking we could make most any vacation or situation fun, ha ha... but we had a great time. We'll have to do an actual point by point comparison video with little things we noticed, or that we liked better about one or the other so far. Huzzah!! :D
We booked directly through the Royal Caribbean website. You should be able to search up New England cruises and pick whichever ship & departure port you like out of what they offer. We sailed from Baltimore, just because it's an easy drive for us!!
We're doing a B2B on the Mariner of the Seas for a total of 7 days in February 2020, and then the Adventure of the Seas for 5 days to Bermuda in September 2020. Whoop whoop!! :D
I don't know if direction makes a difference, but maybe... don't know if wind direction has an effect too... we've only ventured north once, so we didn't have anything to compare the seas to.
Hah, glad to be of service! :P It's so painful when we've got months and months between adventures, ha ha... our next one after this will be late September, but this current video set should have maaaybe 13 or so parts, plus we've got some new features coming out afterwards. Woohoo!! :D
Wait, team "Belgian Waffles", by chance? You look kinda like one of the trivia moguls that we battled with on the ship, ha ha... maybe not... :D If so, I think I commented on your FB post the other day. That would be too funny!!
Not at all! We lucked out with an early shuttle from the hotel and there was basically no wait. We loved it! I guess since the ship only holds about 1,900 people, that probably helped as well. :D
Hah, my granddaddy was a commercial crabber at the south end of the Chesapeake Bay, so I grew up on blue crabs. Never thought to seek them out in Baltimore even though they’re obviously known for them!! :P
When cruising our of Baltimore, we've always stayed at the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell Street. It has always been a great experience, plus you get one night plus parking, breakfast, and shuttle included in the "park & cruise" package, which ends up being about the same price as just the parking cost at the port. Love it!!
Ah, that's exciting! We love the Pride. We don't sail on her again until next November, but we've done something like four or five video sets on her, ha ha... still probably our favorite ship so far! :D
Hey it's me your new best friend Blair. I hope you guys haven't forgotten about me yet, but anyway I'm so excited I've been waiting for these new videos okay, it's going to be so much fun. I also can't wait until my cruise in September on the Carnival Glory. I will be going to Grand Cayman Mahogany Bay Belize City and of course Cozumel and I'm so excited. I'm hoping one day I can get to go on a cruise with you guys, oh my God us together that would be awesome okay that part!*🛳️⛴️⚓💙
That's a great itinerary for sure... we were excited to finally get to that Western route last fall after mostly having Bahamas or Eastern up to then. I'm sure you'll have a blast! Maybe one day our cruising schedules will align, ha ha... :D
Yes indeed! For Baltimore, we've always stayed at the Best Western on O'Donnell Street and had great luck. Park and cruise package, with one night lodging, hot breakfast buffet, shuttle service both ways, and parking included. It usually runs you abooooout the same price as just paying for parking at the port, so we love driving up a day early and taking it easy. :D
Indeed! Silly me, thinking I was on Deck 10 having a dance-off (which I was clearly winning btw) and then the floors opened up and dropped me all the way down to Deck 1 to the medical center. They must've thought I had some... wait for it... SICK moves... ohhhh... (okay, maybe I embellished some of that story...) :P
Woo hoo, so excited to see this new series start!! Great first video, I literally laughed out loud when you told Dee "it's called robbery if you go when it's closed" . You guys are great!!
Yeah, and then that crew member was right there in the office with the door open as we walked by talking loudly about robbing the place... ooooops!! :P
And I was LOL with Dee's best line "I like they way the seats are angled, looks like pizza"
That was too funny... I was just filming a theater shot, not intending to use the audio, and she's running comedy in the background, ha ha... had to keep that in there! :D
My first cruise with RCI we went on Enchantment and they were playing titanic music in the Lobby!
Funny! We're hoping to catch the Enchantment shortly after she relocates to Baltimore in 2021. Woohoo! Hopefully no Titanic music though... :P
Lol Jay your commentary in the buffet in this one is 🤣👌🏻
We traveled on Enchantment a couple years ago, which was a sister of Grandeur -- I remember the statue on the dining room stairs, on Enchantment it was Liza.
We were eyeing the Enchantment out of Baltimore for April 2021, back before that became a lost cause, hah... I'm sure we'll sail her eventually. Looks like fun!! :D

My wife and I just did the same New England and Canada cruise on the Grandeur out of Baltimore for the first time from August 2nd-11th. We loved it!
Awesome!! We love the Grandeur itinerary because it includes Bar Harbor, and some of the other options don't. We had so much fun too, and glad to hear you enjoyed your cruise as well! :D
Woohoo! I have been saving these so o have a few to watch at a time. You guys are so much fun to watch! Thanks for sharing your adventures with us!

Thankee thankee! We've got three Royal cruises booked for 2020, plus a Norwegian and a Celebrity coming up in the not-too-distant future, hah... :P
Looking so forward to more Vlogs , I had revisional knee replacement surgery last week so perfect timing for these Vlogs while home and resting. Yay!

The Inner Harbor in Baltimore is very beautiful
Indeed! We went through the aquarium and around the old power plant shops and things a few years back... super fun!!
squeeze those lemons and limes into the drink .........wow it looked so good
Yay! Your back! Can't wait to watch this vlog. I did my first Royal this past March and saw the Granduer in Bermuda last week! Hope you had a great trip!

the anchor shirt is the best !!!!

We took a Lyft down there because parking tends to be evil in downtown Baltimore, plus... margaritas... so yeah. It's on the same street as the hotel, but about a mile away. Great place!! :D
ParoDeeJay awesome info. Maybe a visit before the november journeys cruise... we are about to deposit on it!
EECC recomended y'all. Hysterical! I love the vibes!

ParoDeeJay thank you so much. Watching the whole series
What are the other royal Caribbean planned?
We're doing a B2B on the Mariner of the Seas for a total of 7 days in February 2020, and then the Adventure of the Seas for 5 days to Bermuda in September 2020. Whoop whoop!! :D
Go on a Alaska cruise for Royal Caribbean in 2021
Is it true that the seas are rougher going north than they are going down the coast?
I don't know if direction makes a difference, but maybe... don't know if wind direction has an effect too... we've only ventured north once, so we didn't have anything to compare the seas to.
Yasssssss, finally, now my life is complete 😂😂😂 I miss you guys a lot 🚢 I am more than ready for this new series
Hah, glad to be of service! :P It's so painful when we've got months and months between adventures, ha ha... our next one after this will be late September, but this current video set should have maaaybe 13 or so parts, plus we've got some new features coming out afterwards. Woohoo!! :D
There are rocks in my socks said the fox to the ox!!!!! I loved that book.
My favorite Dr. Seuss book, hah... when it got to the poodle noodle beetle battle, that was my favorite part as a kid. :D
I was on that cruise too :-)
Wait, team "Belgian Waffles", by chance? You look kinda like one of the trivia moguls that we battled with on the ship, ha ha... maybe not... :D If so, I think I commented on your FB post the other day. That would be too funny!!
YES WE ARE!! :-)
Nice! Yes, I saw all your swag there on FB, ha ha... we didn't do too badly ourselves. Well done!! :D
Glad you guys are back 👍🏼 ... Thanks for the laughs lol
Where are all the people? Did you pay for RC's version of Faster to the Fun?
Not at all! We lucked out with an early shuttle from the hotel and there was basically no wait. We loved it! I guess since the ship only holds about 1,900 people, that probably helped as well. :D
Greetings from post pandemic 2022
Can't believe you're in Baltimore and didn't eat crabs or crab cakes. You missed Baltimore's best!
Hah, my granddaddy was a commercial crabber at the south end of the Chesapeake Bay, so I grew up on blue crabs. Never thought to seek them out in Baltimore even though they’re obviously known for them!! :P
What hotel did you stay in
When cruising our of Baltimore, we've always stayed at the Best Western Plus on O'Donnell Street. It has always been a great experience, plus you get one night plus parking, breakfast, and shuttle included in the "park & cruise" package, which ends up being about the same price as just the parking cost at the port. Love it!!
Awrsome. Thanks
Going on the pride in october. First cruise ever. So excited
Ah, that's exciting! We love the Pride. We don't sail on her again until next November, but we've done something like four or five video sets on her, ha ha... still probably our favorite ship so far! :D
I watch all your videos. Even the munch pak ones. And I like the cruise wars you were in with eecc travel. You all make great videos
Hey Dee, (that’s my middle name) I love your outfits, you look great.
Hey Jay, you could be a comedian. You crack me up, you’re so funny 😂 😆.
Carrie
Thanks so much! Glad you’re enjoying our random crazy adventures, ha ha... :D
You didn’t look happy leaving the Mexican restaurant 😏
Leaving those delicious hubcap margaritas behind? Who would be happy?! Ha ha... :D
ParoDeeJay ohhh Ok , I thought maybe the food was not good...
Oh oops, no the food was really good! Hah, I was probably making a face because it was always crowded in there... We really enjoyed it though!!
We are going on this cruise in 3 weeks, did you stay at a hotel with long term parking and shuttle service to the ship? Thanks
ParoDeeJay Great that is what we wanted to know, thanks for the info as we can't wait to go cruising!
The floor actually split in half???😳😱
Indeed! Silly me, thinking I was on Deck 10 having a dance-off (which I was clearly winning btw) and then the floors opened up and dropped me all the way down to Deck 1 to the medical center. They must've thought I had some... wait for it... SICK moves... ohhhh... (okay, maybe I embellished some of that story...) :P
as you Americans say "Gitt'r Done. Us Canadians say Gitt'r Done EH!!!!!!!!!
