I absolutely love this song it has an intense beauty, Tatiana is pouring out all her fears and love at the same time, The rest of the band are just plying their wares to the song and are on stunning form with it. Personally I think it is the best song on the album

In the video Tatiana is trying to enjoy some alone time, while procrastinating about writing lyrics to the music that her band members have written. The band members become annoyed with her, and they begin getting on her case about it. At first she resists, but the band intensifies their efforts to get her working. Eventually, she throws some lyrics to the music, and the band members leave her alone. Tatiana has stated in interviews that this is how Jinjer's creative process tends to work. Fun reaction. As for the message of the song it is not literally about her going nuts during lockdown, it is more about her trying to hermit away, due to being introverted.

go big or stay home...haha...in that thought, you should react to Jinjer: Ape next...or Jinjer: Cloud Factory....or Jinjer: Outlander(2016 or newer)

Intoverts unite! ..separately! ..in our own homes!
🔥I love Wallflower! I love the beautiful way it starts, and I know I'd still love it if was all clean singing, but I'll admit I was hoping for a turn, unsure if it would come the first time I heard it, knew it probably would, and loved when it did! Wallflower hits me hard as a depressed introvert (always antisocial, always antifascist!), but more generally, Jinjer helps me vent heavy thoughts and I think more people are being drawn to music like this because we're living in dark times - not just the pandemic, but the looming climate collapse that is underway caused by the narrow minded greed of the ruling class of capitalism (which also causes all wars today) which Tatiana has written about in many ways in so many songs. Great reaction, Jacqueline! Thank you always for bringing more of the fantastic music of Jinjer to more people! Home Back has a powerful anti-war message that means a lot to the band since Tatiana, Roman and Eugene are all from eastern Ukraine and essentially fled because of the war there. I think part of what makes Jinjer so fantastic is that they were sort of forced to choose going on tour for years on end, not just to escape the war but also just keep themselves housed and fed. Peace, love and harmony, indeed! ❤🖤🤘

Thank you for this, reaction, Jacqueline, it was great.
One that you should do next is: 'Perennial' live at Wacken open air festival 2019, it would be lovely if you could do it with the official video too, for the story, another one is 'Judgement (and Punishment)' both the official video (for the story) and Tatiana's one-take vocal version (for her performance). 🙂

Thanks for reacting the this Ms. van Bierk. You clearly enjoyed it. However, I suggest you read the lyrics again. It isn't about going insane because of lockdown. Tatiana is an extreme introvert and would prefer to be at home, hiding from the world. Her stage persona is a trap for her. Also, there's another layer revealed in the video (aside from the lyrics and music): Tatiana has said (see her interview with @TheCharismaticVoice) that she feels oppressed by her bandmates insisting on having lyrics sooner than she's prepared to provide them. The only way she can get them to leave her alone is to give them what they want.

Its a metal song about an introvert with writer's block. (I love Jinjer). Tatiana's lyrics are always poetic but sometimes get lost in the growls. An example of this is Perennial. React to her performance of "Perennial" at Wacken after reading her lyrics and you won't be disappointed. (Subbed)

Thanks for the reaction!!!! in this moment doesn't get the love on the reaction channels they should! there my favorite band !! but to be honest tatiana is the best front women i have ever seen! Her stage presents and Physicality live is insane!!! also as much as I think jinjer is one of the most talented bands out there i personally love there earlier stuff more. I guess because its more traditionally metal core than they are now but thanks again ! really enjoy your channel!!

In the video, there's a direct correlation to the pressure she felt for procrastinating lyric writing for the album to the last second. Her bandmates pursue her, pressure her. The bullets (sharp words) at them do nothing, but then she sees the wolves on the wall, realizes her defensive anger and her over-reaction in a situation she created, and throws "her art" (metaphor for the lyrics they want) at the band and they go away. The wolf story (below) is critical to understanding her internal conflicts as displayed by the wolf art.
White Wolf, Black Wolf: A Cherokee Story
Inside you lives a wolf of white-
    of patience, peace and love.
    He is forgiveness, hope and light;
    a blessing from above.
This wolf of white the world will see
through all the good he brings to thee.
    _____This wolf of white,
    _____this wolf of white,
his gifts will set your spirit free.
A wolf of black, as dark as night
    lives next to him inside.
    He’s hatred, rage, cruelty, fright,
    intolerance and pride.
This wolf of black the world will see
    through evil actions, evil deeds.
    _____This wolf of black,
    _____this wolf of black,
his teeth will make your spirit bleed.
Within your soul, the two wolves fight
to see which one will give
directions and will win the right
to show you how to live.
Which one will win the fight? We need
to pay attention; pay close heed!
    _____Which one will win?
    _____Which one will win
depends upon which one we feed.

"This life is a lockdown" is an ironic lyric in this song: it's actually the demands of the outside world, rather than being locked down at home, that are "locking her down", or oppressing her introverted tendencies. The correct overall interpretation is quite the opposite of what you thought.
    Cheers!

Very good choice of song, it's probably my favorite song from their last album (with the underrated As I Boil Ice). I would suggest you to react next to Homeback (or to see it if you don't have enough time for a full reaction). Wallflower has a strong story behind the song, so does Homeback which is related to their past, in a more collective way this time

Hi Jacqueline love watching your reviews knowing what a big JINJER fan you are you have to watch Hellfest from home you'll hate yourself if you don't. I think it recently came out it's a live concert I'm sure what location it was recorded in but if you want to see JINGER in their glory this is it they played to an empty field there was no audience it was kind of funny actually they went through all the motions like they were playing for an audience but no one was there. I think it was something they put together because of Covid it will probably be televised. But the great thing was that the cameras and recording equipment was on stage with the band the sound quality cd quality I've watched some of their live shows on utube and alot of them the sound quality wasn't the best this show was bad ass even though they didn't have an audience they gave it 100% they sounded just like their albums you really need to check this out you wont be disappointed.

"Home back" is another Jinjer's fantastic video: visually, musically and very personal, as Jinjer are actually war refugees, who fled from their home town Gorlivka after ruSSia occupied their part of Ukraine, Donbass, in 2014. This dastardly hybrid ruSsia's war has been on for >.7 years keeping Jinjer from home and worried about their relatives who are still in the lawless looted occupied zone with curfews, ruined economy and rule of criminals under ruSSan military control. The video is a masterpiece, perfectly merging stunning visuals with fantastic music and vocals going from the most beautiful jazz to the deepest growls.

Jacqueline all you had to do to win me over and get me to subscribe was 4 u to just be YOU! You are a lovely woman and person. I really like your free spirit, intelligence, compassion, artistic side, (I'm not very artistic myself but I really appreciate many art forms) how you sway and dance to the music and I even love your accent. I am of German heritage too but just have this Canadian accent, eh! It also doesn't hurt that you are very attractive and have a resemblance to Gwen Stefani esp. in the intro. where you have blond hair. (Gwen is one of Tatiana's influences as u probably already know) Yes I agree we should be kind and civil to each other even when we have opposite views and beliefs. Stick to presenting the best evidence that you can muster and be open to counter evidence and ad hominem attacks simply demonstrate your lack of confidence in your own arguments. After all no human is infallible, neither are you keyboard warriors, politicians and controlled media. ;)
I have seen the Cross that you are wearing but I forget if its an ancient traditional Cross. If you love Jesus like I do, then we have more in common than Jinjer and our love of music.
    Peace, Love & Harmony!

Awesome :) I absolutely love this song. I really relate to it, being a strong introvert myself and a procrastinator . Just love the slow build up from soft jazzy relaxing vibe to intense raw emotion.
Yeah, Mediator would be great next. Or for an older one I Speak Astronomy. Awesome Music Video. Another beautiful song. It's a heavy and fast groove, but still chill actually. Love how they combine things that you wouldn't think are combinable. They do a great job of it. Tatiana has mentioned that's what they like to do.
On the Top (Official Music Video or Live in Kiev - same show as Pit of Consciousness). Both videos are great.
Ape is a great music video.
Perennial live at Wacken 2019. Great video.
Judgement (& Punishment) one take vocal performance - awesome video to see Tatiana up close singing. Just the mic and her (and a furry friend to start :).
Who is Gonna Be the One - Live at Atlas 2017 - great performance and shows her extreme vocal range well.
    So many great ones.
For a full live show the Hellfest from Home 2021 by Arte Concert is absolutely awesome. It has the best live version of I Speak Astronomy. Another good live full show is Alive in Melbourne 2020. Great show as well. They made a live album from that show as well.

Spiritbox & Straight Line Stitch, Just as good, if not better in some ways…Alexis Brown has a higher vocal octave than Tatiana…She is one of the few Black Female fronted vocalists in Metal…She was doing this stuff 15 years ago & never received proper credit…Her band Straight Line Stitch wereTight & Heavy…Black Veil & Remission great Reaction material…I don’t want to rock the boat here, but in all honesty, JINGER is okay, but not my favorite…Their drummer is pretty cool…
