Are you sure you don't have one? Many are (obivously) not advertised well- but we found ours from a friend telling us. Later we learned there are many more nearby too all over the midwest. Thanks for watching
I'm surrounded by Amish/Mennonite stores. I love them. I'm in Berne Indiana. It's rare to find a store here without electricity but there are so many Amish families that have stores at their homes. I have bought pies out of a horse barn before. There are roadside stands, a lady who sells homemade canned goods. I get angry if I have to go to the local grocery store anymore. I'm not sure how far you are in Wisconsin but if you want a fun Amish experience come down here for the day. You can stay up north (about an hour or so, not sure) in shipshewana. They have a huge flea market. Also Amish country. I love how you all cook as a family. I enjoyed this video 😊
I just love this channel! Makes me wanna move to Northern America. Great content guys! Watching this from The Netherlands. First video I watched was the one about Side Hustles and kept hanging around ever since.
This video is great but was wondering if you could show us how you store it so it doesn’t spoil. I find so much inspiration from your videos so thanks 😊
Yes!! I have one Amish bulk foods store 25 minutes away, one 40 minutes away. I get all my pantry staples there and LOVE the bulk spices. Also, I'd much rather support local than the chain stores.
Across the road from there going back toward 22 there is an Amish furniture place. All that saws are belt driven off one shaft against the all. Pretty cool.
See no overhead, except for the cost of the building. My mom and I went to a Amish store and they picked the ears of corn while we shopped. Like those potatoes # 50, and you can use them to plant. Buy honey in a GLASS JAR. ( OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY ) , he's a bee man.
In from uk but I guess if u boy off the amish your buying local and they are way cheaper from what I see of my american subscribers they are very very good with wordwork
Yeah- way cheaper from anything we've seen. I suspect they have a flat markup-- say 10% on their cost.. where grocery stores will markup certain things based on demand- for example Coconut Oil may have a strong demand one month and a traditional grocery store may mark up the cos greatly, I am fairly certain everything here is the same markup all the time and its very reasonable and low. Thanks for watching!
hey there. about to become a new subscriber. I love to binge watch while I work, so is there full playlist with all your videos in order that I can watch....or there are all over the place? Thanks
Ok, from my understanding the Amish (it’s up to the bishop) can’t do direct business with the English (which is us) without the mennonite. The Mennonite are the go between Amish and English. Mennonite are the ones whom can have electricity and Black painted automobile and do things that the bishops forbidden the Amish doing. The Amish understand that things cost money. Despite the Amish are self-sufficient self-reliant groups of people whom shy away from the English because of our evil lifestyle. What yall experienceed in that store was the Mennonite. Just because your Amish - keep in mind there are different denominations of Amish. I aware of this stuff because I worked with a Texas based gas & oil seismic company who in eastern Ohio and all though Pennsylvania. We would have daily safety meetings about importance of safety and respect to the communities that we would serve with our heavy equipment. We would be respectful to the animals- people and there land. I know we found a lot of gas & oil on Amish land and would have to go though the Mennonites. I did this for 3.5 years. We English could have a lot to learn from these fine folks- mind you the Amish do have problems buy nowhere near like we the English do.
Thank you for the comment. Btw, when you choose to redirect more your moneys to Amish communities, your buying American and not to China. But take the time and learn the customs and rules set forth of said communities. I know if you create a very positive- constructive relationship with the Mennonite you’ll be able to do business with them. You’ll have some of the best real relationships a person could ever want. But it takes time. I live too far south for Amish - Mennonite. For whatever reason those folks enjoy cold climates. If your truly impressed with Amish - Mennonite start learning some of there customs. Do not record any A/V. Very strict rules. Keep in mind, them folks are a keep to themselves group for very particular reason set forth by the bishops. Manly in fear of being shunned and excommunicated for as simple as talking to you or waving hi or letting you record them. You wouldn’t want for someone would you? You’ll maybe impressed with with the market you visited, good keep it to yourselves. Both communities don’t necessarily like the English because of are disrespectful values. You’ll piss them off real quick it makes them feel that they become a tourist attraction or a side show act. It defeats the purpose of them being a closed off close knit community. They do have cell phones, but still no A/V. Again, the rules they have to fallow. If you want to get somewhere with Either 1. ANY RECORDING A/V AT ALL IS A BIG NO-NO. even the videoing the horse and buggy yall did earlier today and the video of the check out, not cool. They will tolerate your everything and conclude that your ignorant English. In the view-point of both communities it’s very disrespectful. I understand you feel it’s harmless or innocent, but to them they have rules to fallow. Again, learn the customs with making feel like a sideshow act of some sort. Hopefully you don’t feel like I’m scolding yall. One more thing, Amish will look down if you try to talk to them or never look directly in your eyes. That’s takes awhile to gain that respect. Then you’ll find they will start to speak Dutch. Again, it’s done not to offend you - it’s to protect them. Amish do indeed gossip and snitch on one other. Manly to protect - police the order the Bishop has set for them. Best bet is to try and create relationship Mennonite. Keeps the Amish out of trouble.
Newton kansas has a store listed on the website and I can tell you that saving .75 on a jar of mayo that is smashed or out of date isn't a bargain. All thier prices are shameful, I get better prices on sale in a regular store.
You can get most things cheaper at a regular store. We go there for bulk spices and liquid flavoring, prices on those are pretty good...at least in our area.
@@saraicalderon48 read the ad she posted the it's 12/16oz meaning the 42 dollars is for 12 bottles also the flower you can get from Walmart for 3.80 a 50 pound bag of potatoes is around 8 dollars from an farm so 🥴🥴🥴

We’re lucky to have quite a few Amish and Mennonites in our area so we have a few stores. We love getting our bulk spices there.
