    Hi, my impact appears to prefer the Bisley Mags over the JSB 452's at 40m out to 60m after further testing so I'm sticking with those for now.. I also bought a Dreamline Compact .177 cal for my back packing ..awesome piece of kit and every bit as accurate as the impact but lighter . Just wondered if you had tested/tried one of these and your thoughts if so ??. Best regards Alan ( stay safe)

    Great footage as ever a real pleasure to watch. I replaced my ropey .22 Hw100kt barrel and it's shooting a lot better. But my .177 BSA R10 mk2 carbine s410k .177 Steyr lg110ft .177 make me realise that .177 sub 12ft/lbs is better for me. So my go to will be the R10 and I will get it tuned by one of the BSA gurus Bowkett, Rat works or Airtech.

      Actually you have convinced me to try dialling distances in FT style rather than using mildots. I have mounted a Nikon 3-9x40 efr which is 1/2" moa at 100 yards so quick to dial in. Throw in the rifle mounted range finder hopefully it works out.

    Can we have more 'how to' videos like this one please? I've recently started shooting rabbits, to control the numbers in my nearby fields but also for dog food, with this stupid cost of living crisis. However, the rabbit are far from stupid. I bought a camo tent chair but, they already know to keep well away. Well, at least 50m away, as it seem they even know my skill range haha. I will try using some natural camo going forward but, any more tips are welcomed too. How do you practise, do you not bother when it is windy or do you practice in wind too? Do you prefer shooting into the wind or will you shoot with a cross wind? Do you wait for fine weather or can you share advice for poorer weather. I've learned plenty in the last few weeks, shooting in snow, heavy frost, rain, wind, am, pm but, I'm still blanking more times than coming home with food. Many thanks.

Spread was like a shotgun ...I then cleaned the barrel and that made a hell of a difference (5p groups at 35m) then tried Bisley mags ( lubed) and the groups are a lot tighter. Hoping to stretch the distance weather conditions allowing.. If it ain't too hot its to windy and if ain't to windy its to bloody wet..🙄😂😆😆.. All the best..Alan

    • @pontypoolpestcontrol
      @pontypoolpestcontrol  5 років тому +3

      hi ROBO K not yet but i really wanna try the .20 as i heard on the grape vine that they are as accurate as a .177 but still give the thud of a .22 personally the .177 gives the thud of a .22 with this impact for now i am in love with the gun hold tight groups at range and i see why they named it the impact theres ups and downs with both cals so with a .177 yes there accurate and they will do the job but you have to be almost perfect with your placement of shots as they are so small and travel so fast they will pass through the head not touch the brain and the animal will still be alive but they dont drop off as much as a .22 then the .22 is the oppersit with the weight of the pellet you dont have to be so precise with your shots but they drop off at ranges so alot more clicks or hold over is required when i upgrade to a .20 or .22 i will do a review and groups tests i hope this helps you please subscribe if you have not already all the best P.P.P.C
