Its probably the most factual event in this whole movie. Because a black slave catcher according to her book never existed. Especially, an affair with a slave master.

@Fredericka Rowland -I agree. And I also believe that Martin Luther King was a prophet. Some seem to think that God stopped talking to people during BIble times, but God has always spoken to people and some of them pass it on to the rest of us. Some choose to believe it, some don't.

The film toned down the violence made toward slaves and makes it possible for younger viewers to watch. It is important for historical reasons to understand how oppressive, ugly and evil slavery is. The fact that people still have the audacity to be racist shows how clueless and ignorant they are to the henious crimes committed by these folks. How shameless they are to understand the cruelty and pain inflicted. We need more films that open compassion and bridges understanding so this sickness of racism truly dies.

IF there is anything that proves that God does NOT exist it is the suffering we as a people were put through for 400 years. God cannot be 'almighty' and 'just' if he let this crime against humanity continue for 400 years in our cases and literally thousands of years and to this day for other people around the world. You need to come up with better proof that God was speaking.

if anyone would like to know this, harriet tubman has sleeping fits. she has these because when she was younger, a slave catcher threw a weight at her and it hit her head and she fell unconsious for many days. The weight caused an injury in her skull which causes the sleeping fits. Sleeping fits are when a person falls asleep without any warning. These also happen when she is freeing slaves. She falls asleep without any warning while trying to free slaves.
There is a little history for you guys about harriet.
