The amount of guys from this game that play or at least got chances in the NFL are insane, Amari Cooper, Henry, Yeldon, OJ Howard, Landon Collins, Zeke, Eli Apple, Vonn Bell, Bosa, Billy Price, Cardale Jones, Michael Thomas, Devin Smith, and I’m sure some more that are pretty obvious that I’m forgetting off the top of my head, I mean look at all the talent between these two teams
this was way more exciting than ohio state oregon
@@urbandecay4540 Lmao. You are such a moron. Ohio State was the best team that year. In fact, probably one of the best teams I have ever seen. Don't say they lucked out. Buckeyes were loaded that year and earned every bit of it. People like you obviously can't bare to see your precious Alabama team not be the best team. Pathetic.
Spencer to Thomas probably the best throw and catch I ever saw in my life. I saw it when it happened and usually as an Ohio sports fan I would have been screaming in my living room, but I was just frozen. Couldn't believe what I saw.
that was a crazy play. an amazing wr throws to the best wr in the nfl right now
This happened to me when I saw it, I just froze, same with the Zeke run to seal the game.
Bama’s kryptonite......mobile QBs and unpredictable play calling.
@@bobsmithsr9976 .... look at their losses (Ole Miss 2x, Ohio State, Texas A&M, Clemson, Auburn) and watch the play calling and QB play. The team that lost to Clemson for the title was dubbed with the best defense ever.
No Cee, Bama's best D's in recent memory were 2011 8.8ish PPG and 92... LB on 11 were Hightower, Courtney Upshaw, and CJ Mosley. Barron, Lester, Chapman, Milliner pretty much everybody on that D got a little NFL playing time and there are still some starting today...
@@adreanlinerusher .... In 2016 everyone was saying that defense with Reuben Foster and Minkah Ftizpatrick was considered the best defense ever assembled on the college level and we all saw what Deshaun Watson and his merry Tigers done against that D.
Ohio State wins the first playoff verified National Championship. Doesn't get much sweeter than that
Urban Decay tf you mean lol osu owned alabama in this game. Turnovers the only reason bama was relevant
@Diarrhea If OSU owned Bama by only winning by 7 points with Bama having the opportunity the tie/win the game at the end, then what is it called when Virginia Tech beat OSU by 14 pts earlier that same year? ;)
Urban Decay its called they’re 19-22yr olds and they arent perfect lol. But fr zeke and devin smith stepped out at the one, so we go up 6-0, turn the ball over, bad punt, JK scott fist fucking us, etc. bama goes up 21-6. Defense settled in and our offense kept on going. That bame team was never going to stop osu’s run game and vertical passing w devin smith and mike thomas
I remember watching this game and after Ohio State beat Alabama going crazy I was screaming jumping up and down I may have had a sore throat but I didn't care I was so happy that we had beat Alabama and knocked them off as #1 it took me a while to calm down and may have not slept well that night but it was worth it.
Simply put, this buckeyes team was one of (if not the most) dominant CFB teams of the modern era
USC under Pete Carroll, so far this years Alabama team come to mind as being better. Depending on your definition of modern there were also better Ohio State teams. That OSU team was outstanding but , they did lose a game and were the last team to qualify for the CFP that season.
I'm not a fan but the Alabama legacy of what they've been sending to the nfl is just un fucking real. I half expect in a few more years literally every nfl defense will have a minimum of two of their players hahahaha [joking]
The amount of NFL players in this game is insane!!!
That Ohio State team was all time stuff
Barry McCockiner our 2015 team was better and more experienced with dudes like Braxton Miller back but our loss to MSU ruined it all. Our offensive play calling was shit that year and thank God the OC was let go
@Otávio Ferreira uhhhh. They had elliot in 15 too. Plus jt was back AND Braxton plus like 90% of the same team as 14
i dont care what anyone says.... ohio state was clearly the more athletic team here..... especially with a 3rd string qb
lol the 3rd string QB wasn't what anyone would call 'athletic', why even mention him in your comment?
Justin A just cause he wasnt athletic dosent mean he wasnt a good qb. he had a hella of a arm and was a solid qb all around except for running
First year of the playoff. Had the bcs still been intact, they would have voted in FSU and bama to play in the title game.
Urban Decay What if... and bear with me now... Ohio State was just the better team? I know sounds surprising right? Don’t call it luck, don’t blame the refs, Ohio State was just the better team in this game.
Evan Spencer was the unsung player of the game. The TD throw, the block for Zekes run, and the onside recovery
The 2 best coaches in the modern era of college football, and 2 absolutely LOADED squads...THIS was the National Championship! Oregon didn't have a chance!
I’m from Ohio Just now watching penn state give up I think OSU may be the clutches team in history-Great fans too-all hands on you OSU all hands on you
One of the few games were Alabama got manhandled up front. You don’t see this. OSU was as big and strong with better athletes. Very rare.
Jonathan Bachman i didn’t really see that they ran outside and kind of outran their linebackers because trey depriest was a big slow lb . their was only like three highlights where zeke took off wasn’t really a phonebooth game . and they play a lot of two high with only 5 in the box
Urban Decay lmao I’m gonna find every one of your comments and be one of THOSE OSU fans.
Me and my lady of 10 years just moved in our first apartment then. We didn't have cable so we went to Walmart to buy a clock radio so I can listen to it I remember screaming and jumping I'm getting chills just talking about it what a time to be alive for a buckeye fan
Evan Spencer made 4 great plays in this game. Even catching the last onside kick was scathing!
This was a game of big plays, as this video showcases. But on the more "boring," grindy plays, I seem to remember OSU's lines on both sides of the ball being pretty dominant, which I think prevented Bama from ever gaining any real momentum, despite gaining the early lead. Those kids were out for blood after the unanimous doubt toward OSU and the universal mocking of the B1G.
Additionally, it really didn't hurt that OSU's defense that entire season had a knack for making interceptions.
Those young men stared their hardest challenge in the face, their heads filled with the voices of millions of naysayers, faced a deficit early, and never even flinched.
God I love college ball.
@@urbandecay4540 Lucky? They had crucial turnovers in the first half and over came them. Fck you talking about?
Funny how bama was undisputed #1 and blake simms was the best QB in bama history, but once OSU beat them everyone was saying Blake simms cant throw hes a RB playing QB, the linebackers werent good. OSU played a broken bama team and got a free pass in the natty
@@doctordox Y’all beat a depleted OSU defense. Everyone had y’all winning the 2015 game. Just like 2020. Shut up.
Being there was the most amazing sports moment of my life. Irreplaceable memories! That was the national championship for me. What a team and what a story.
one of the greatest games in college football history.
@@jonsaunders2179 look at the stats and the score from the Purdue game. OSU got their ass kicked ;)
The amount of nfl players in this game is ridiculous. Nice to see most of them having success
One of the sweetest victories in all my 31 years of being a Buckeye!! Still pumps me the hell up.
GO BUCKS!!!!
and mine as well and I started following the Buckeyes in December, 1948 as they were preparing for the 1-1-49 Rose Bowl. Today is 5-10-23. So, I have been a Buckeye fan for over 74 years.
After Bama lost the sugar bowl they turned around and won the national championships the craziest thing to ever witness on tv
then they did the same after 2016, something tells me we already know the 2019 national champion
That was Big Time College football. Gotta be one of the best games of the decade. All the future NFL stars on both sides. That was the National Championship of 2014. Oregon was a formality.
oh the memories. As a bama fan i love it when we play real powerhouse school and the games are actually fun to watch.
“Defensive lineman dream! Touchdown!”
Simply put, this buckeyes team was one of (if not the most) dominant CFB teams of the modern era
About 60% of the starters went on to the nfl can we talk about how much talent this game had
As the 600th comment, let me just say....Thank You Coach Meyer and All The Great Men that have put on a Buckeye Uniform. Especially Braxton Miller, you coulda played the transfer card but you stayed and was rewarded with a well deserved National Championship Ring....A True Buckeye
Anyone else notice how the opening kickoff was almost a touchdown for ohio state???
Yea that was missed by both teams players. If Curtis Samuel had realized it, he could've had that ball.
This was easily the best college football team in history. All the battle we went through all season, including the death of Kosta Karageorge
Kostas death was so tragic and made me so sad and it was awesome that Michael Bennett wore his number for the remainder of the season
They are definitely not the best team 2019 LSU or 2020 Alabama is the best team
@@jesusisking78862019 lsu maybe. 2020 bama getting rocked by this 2014 Ohio state team
I'm watching this in 2020 and it is just amazing to hear all the names of NFL players and stars that were all in this game. Wow
A giant Alabama fan her. If there's a game Alabama loses I'm glad it was like this. Such a fantastic showing from both sides.
Anyone think amar'e and Zeke talk shit about this game in the locker room?
ZEEEEKE!!!!!!💪🏾
Urban Decay 230 yards through the Heart of The South, tell me how that’s lucky
Probably my favorite buckeye game of all time now tied with the 2020 Clemson game 😏
Oh my gosh I remember this, This was so Inspirational for all of us and Ohio This team was Nice as hell
Evan Spencer! What a warrior! Can't Ohio State find a job for Evan on the staff?
One of the best classic bowl games of all time! Go Bucks!
" EzeKiEl ElLioT wOnT rUn MoRe tHaN 60 YaRdS On BaMA DeFeNse. "
Man this game really got me excited for the CFP, but then after 4 years of Alabama - Clemson the need for an expansion was really felt. Hey at least Clemson beat Alabama a couple times which was fun.
Great game.Still love watching it.Buckryes were soooooo goood.URBAN MYERS THE BEST
When it came to the second half, Bama crumbled, they weren’t covering and couldn’t stop jones, Zeke, or the wide receivers, OSU blew them out in the second half
ohio state was beating themselves first half honestly.. zeke fumble lost, then interception. then the shitty punt giving bama great field.. it shouldnt of even been that close. osu dominated that whole game
Blew them out ? tOSU won by 7. Alabama threw a pick 6 and an interception in Field Goal range. The QB of Alabama cost Alabama the game in a shootout.
@@Maal7432 Yes it was...Alabama was throwing the ball into the endzone to try to tie at the end. Are you crazy ?
The opening kickoff of this game still bothers me. If Ohio State jumps on it, it's a touchdown. Yet both the announcers and the returner don't seem to notice that a huge mistake was barely dodged.
The talent on both sides was crazy this will be a 30 for 30 in 10 years
I said the same thing on another video that this was the first time my Bucks played elite competition (SEC) in a bowl game, and I wasnt the least bit concerned when we went down two scores. Something about having Urban Meyer on the sideline made me believe that they were never out of the game.
Everyone: Alabama has the best defensive line of all time, no one can run against them this year
Also Zeke: Career High yards
This was a great game by both teams, this wasn't a blowout or a dominant win by OSU, just a couple bad plays on Alabama's side. Congrats to OSU you were the better team. (I'm a Florida fan).
Corey Carter look at yardage stats. Ohio State made mistakes early in the game and bama got a lead. Once Ohio State crossed the goal line the first time Alabama was done for.
The scoreboard may not reflect it, but Ohio State dominated that game.
You can argue that a couple plays here and there and Ohio state wins by 3 touchdowns instead of one
Couple bad plays on Bama? OSU had to settle for two field goals and turned the ball over twice in our own territory which gave BAma two touchdowns, this could ahve been an OSU blowout had they been on their game the entire way. Exciting game but shouldn't have been that close.
You could also argue that had Bama recovered the onside kick or caught one of the passes that the game goes into overtime. Not a blowout, manhandled up front yes. Blowout no. Just look to the Purdue game for the definition of a blowout...
So many future stars in this game it’s incredible
Holy shit so many goats in this game 💨💨
Go Buckeyes
Zeke! Good to see you along with all the pros in this game are sti doing well.
This game is up there with UGA vs OKLAHOMA, BAMA vs Clemson, USC vs Texas back in the early 2000's, and many more. This game proved that a playoff was needed because in the old BCS system, OSU would have been left in the Rose Bowl
Ohio State bullied Alabama. Down 21-6, OSU goes on a 28-0 run.
5 years later Bama shits on Ohio state and shuts up their annoying fans 52-24
At 5:39, I couldn't believe he caught it.
One of the greatest catches I've ever seen, especially considering the momentum and the fact that a wide receiver threw it.
Oh, they practiced it. But it was one of those plays that can go terribly wrong. Devin Smith was a phenomenal receiver.
Many times, the best player on the field decides that game and this game was such and example. Go Zeke.
One of the coldest Buckeyes teams ever assembled.
Still watching in 2019?
@@bradgingerich6814 OSU HAS A SHOT AT THE CHAMPS. QB MUST STAY HEALTHY AND PLAY WELL. IF INJURY COMES INTO PLAY-CLEMSON WINS.

3 ed string QB baby against the numb. 1 lol BUCKEYES BABY revenge Tour Cancelled
@Hbkmdev Bama has WON at least 3 Nat. Chips since this game. Let it go bro.
So many people from both of these teams combined are now in the NFL..

Us Bama fans keep hoping to see you Buckeyes again but year after year you let us down.. lol
Zeus Deuce yeah we are very bad this year but very young I think next u might see us again
The King I would say I feel bad for you but Ohio state has had their fair share of dominance. That being said what Nick has done at Bama is nothing short of incredible.
It must be nice be Alabama cuz they always have the weakest schedule in college football
O-H-
Urban Decay your commitment to commenting on everything makes me think you’re just salty
watching this and listening to all the names that made it to the nfl is unreal
Love this channel
Ohio St fans are funny its like this is the only win in the last decade they care about.
Well no we also smoked notre dame the following year and this past year we smoked USC and Sam darnold. So definitely not the only win i care about at least but you still seem a little upset by it.
Allamericanlibertarian no we just like to rub it in your inbred faces lol
Kristine Dickason the term “inbred” is pretty ironic coming from a bama fan...
This is probably the first time that the Big Ten has defeated the SEC in a Championship Caliber Bowl since Michigan defeated BAMA in the Orange Bowl years ago. The big 10 is moving in the right direction. They have great coaching. If the coaches continue to perform well, they may get PROMOTED to the SEC 😊😁😎
You act like the coaching up here is second rate to the SEC. To be real most of the coaches that won titles during the SEC's run started in Ohio. Meyer and Les Miles are from Ohio, Saban's alma mater is in Ohio and his college coaching career started here. "This area is called "The Cradle Of Coaches" because many college and NFL coaches begin in this area. Our coaching isn't the problem the problem is that the SEC has a greater quantity of athletes and athletic players than the Big. The south takes football very serious there's only a few states up north that take football as serious as the south.
Nick Saban use to coach in the big 10. Urban Meyer of course started in Big 10 as well.
And yet you haven’t scored a single point in the last 2 playoff games you were in 😂😂😂
vainglorious101 wow, I didn't realize Ohio State won a National Title without scoring any points, ya' dumbass. the last Playoff game they were in before the Clemson game was against Oregon in the Championship. DERRRP.
ooooh that's right I forgot, we're fans of conferences and not fans of any specific teams.

Especially because two great running backs are playing on both of those teams
Ohio state may been the first to win the cfb playoff but Alabama is the first to win it twice, and coming up for a third, TUA
This hurts me every time I watch this BUT at least we won the National Championship next season and made it the next year.
RSHighlights yea ik😂 but don’t act like Ohio state wouldn’t hold their own in the SEC sure they wouldn’t do as well as Bama but they wouldn’t be no pushover
Plus I get what ur saying but u can’t always use that as an argument cause this year Alabama didn’t rlly play anyone thaaat good before the playoffs ofc SEC had kind of a down year compared to the BIG Ten every conference has a down year
Watching this is still so sweet.
...And all glory is fleeting. Every true champion knows that.
31-0
it looks like we have a Michigan Fan here! 1-4 in last 5 games I see
roll tide
Sorry sport, but the only thing rolling in this game was those bama bus wheels back home
That last possession by Alabama. Plenty of time to still move the ball down field and took 2 shots at the end zone from Mid-Field. Bad Play Calling.
Eddie Jackson and Landon Collins were both in bama’s secondary this game? How’d OSU pass the ball at all? And Cyrus Jones?
The Mets went to the World Series and the Buckeyes won the championship that year. Good times!
