    Small error in the video. GTA V was not released in 2023, but in 2013...as we all know!

      The second tallest structure in Liverpool England is the former 96’7 radio city tower with the elevation of 138m ( 453 ) with the fastest elevator to transport visitors to and from the observation deck .
      The aesthetics of the tower is built on 1940-1950’s American architecture that’s a mixture of cyberpunk meets science fiction B movie sets .
      However the tower like its counterparts once stood as a moving restaurant diner’s but later got disbanded the silver lining about it that got saved by St John’s by renaming the tower as the Beacon .
      Lastly: where as its counterparts in America either got destroyed or abandoned for my visit to the beacon I gave the experience a 10/10 for its splendor and charm.

    Small note on the Megabuildings, they were just Night City's version of an in-universe Arcology, a self sustaining environmentally stable community that was made due to the severe climate change of the early 2000's.
    One of the fun little (probably) unintentional things about the Megabuildings in particular though is that all of the stores and overlapping amenities make them look like indoor malls. Which were the quintessential hyper-capitalist experience of the everyday American back in the late 80's and 90's, back when Cyberpunk 2020 was being written. And I mean "I live in a mall that advertises itself as an ideal human habit" screams Cyberpunk,

      Funny side thing, about the climate change. The central hole of the mega buildings should facilitate passive cooling. Like I just saw this video about how buildings with inside gardens get cool in desert environments. They put a pond on there too, so the evaporation helps with that even more. I'm guessing something similar can be done with megabites to reduce power use.
      And there's this city-in-a-building in Alaska I think, where they have everything within a block to reduce heating requirements, too. So doubly good.

    weird tangent but what I love about the world of Night City. Is how accurate it is to our world. What I mean is if I go to a section in NIght City. You'll see these GIANT buildings that are used for Corpo stuff or apartments. I know what you're gonna say, "But other games do that too". What I'm saying is other games tend to either keep these buildings as sorta of "Neutral", Like you dont know what specifically they are all you know is they're a giant building. But NightCity those buildings serve a purpose. In real life when I go to the city. Ill always see these giant buildings. BUT they weren’t there for decoration, They served a purpose, some corporations the other housing. I'm sorry if my explanation sounds weird. I just love this game and every time I replay it. I always notice something minuscule especially since I already know how the story goes. I get to focus on the really small stuff.

    I bought it on release... Didn't play it for, like you, a year. Then spent days, in the morning sitting down, wondering how it became already midday, thinking I'll go to eat something in ten minutes and getting up at 6 in the evening... It was like blinking the time away. And I missed a lot even with my mind fully being in the game.
    It was way too good (year after release) I can't let it go, and it made me angry so much I went on rampages (the braindance editors, about the kid, you'll know the mission) and cried when I saw the ending messages after choosing the corpo ending/uploading myself.
    And the government ending of the DLC left me mentally scared. Was shocked for a day about it. Yeah maybe that sounds stupid, but I let myself feel like I'm V and it was worth all the money CDPR charged me.

    Night City brought back a lot of memories from my teenage/student years. The buildings, the foggy streets in the night, with the amber light of streetlamps shining on wet pavement... somehow it feels so real. Often I just fire up the game and start walking in a random direction - not doing any quests or car deliveries, just walking. Or I simply chose to sit down at the Growl FM party, listen to the music, watch Johnny sweeping the dirt from one of his boot and Rita Wheeler vibing in her armchair... Come to think of it, it's not just the city... the characters in CP 2077 have this real-life person vibe, they talk like real people and not like actors reading lines from a script. I hope the sequel will be just as good as the first game.

    You've successfully put into words what I've been feeling about this game since that day I got fully immersed in it. Cyberpunk 2077 is a phenomenal game that must be enjoyed fully, not partially, immersed. There are sooo many of these "invisible perfections" throughout Night City, it blows my mind. I can't put it down.
    Btw, today I've successfully climbed up top Megabuilding 06 during my mission for El Capitan Muamar. The feeling I had when I made it over the edge to get a great screenshot was so satisfying. lol... useless information but wanted to share anyways.

    I just thought of something interesting for you, what if this is a trilogy? I’ll try to explain it clearly if I can.
    2077 - the darkest part of human history the dystopian world the first chapter in this series filled with crimes of murder and rape and extortion and so forth
    Orion - new city new place less crime less poverty, I do believe it’s stated that night city is the worst place in America right the darkest part, so what if the new location is neutral?
    ???? - the final chapter the end of cyberpunk the destruction of the Blackwall and the rogue ai. What if with the theory in my other comment makes this game the good part of the trilogy where for the time being peace is back?
    The reason I thought of this was 2 reasons
    1- your constant vids they open up new possibilities on how the game is progressing through a trilogy series and how we’re gonna get there
    2- the last thing Johnny says to you before returning to your body “ maybe I learnt something from you too V, to save my energy for 1 final big bang “ what if that big bang is johnnys return to help destroy the ai bringing about the good ending?
    Oh and mikes comment on the game is bout saving yourself and not the world I think is wrong because as you save yourself you save those around you that save others, river ward and the weapons heist, and paralez and his mayor run all could lead to bigger changes that spread a ripple effect? Crazy idea I know but what if that were the case and if I’m not mistaken Orion is the constellation of the hunter and new location neutral setting?

    • @relaxedswede
      @relaxedswede  2 місяці тому

      I like your theory Choom!
      For three main reasons.
      1 - Everything you just mentioned above.
      2 - CDPR is going to make the new Witcher games a trilogy.
      3 - The Rogue AI invasion might begin in Cyberpunk Orion and the end in the final installment of the trilogy. It would just make sense in some way. I don't know if you see where I'm coming from

    • @FinGeek4now
      @FinGeek4now 2 місяці тому

      I wouldn't be surprised if, in Orion, CDPR decided to make the game, well, bigger. It wouldn't take much to import the existing assets and possibly the map from the Red Engine into UE5, then they can also design the other major cities in which the player could travel to (Chicago, LA Metroplex, New York, Washington D.C and others) as well as the Crystal Palace. Having a game world of this size would also allow for either MMORPG-style gameplay or even just single player gameplay similar to Elite: Dangerous and is pretty trivial to enable with UE5 (as well as other fun features such as VR). I'm more of a fan of having an in-game lobby of sorts (such as the Afterlife in NightCity) where players in the city would be able to meet and group up, then once they leave, they run the game on a peer-to-peer network with the lowest latency player being the host/server for the group. This would be a pretty substantial cost reduction for CDPR as far as supporting network infrastructure as well since they would only need to host the zones that serve as the lobby rather than the entire game world.
      As far as the overall plot and timeline goes, I suspect we will be in a timeline that is set during the next war, whatever it would be called. This is due to all of the little hints that are everywhere in the game and will obviously include Arasaka, Militech, Biotechnica, the NUSA and others, however, I do have a suspicion that we will see a "shadow war" being played out between Netwatch and Blackwall against the combined forces of NightCorp and various rogue AIs.
      If my suspicions are correct, while this will be an extremely massive undertaking by CDPR, even if the engine can handle what they throw at it, it will take a very, very long time for it to come out.

    Great vid, pretty accurate description of the corpo pathway with the dog eat dog type of structure. As well as a good explanation of the games world in general.
    Also I had a strange theory on this game, what if this isn’t real but more like a story or memory of V’s that you gotta play through kinda like at the end of mass effect 3 where you find that your journey was nothing but a story being told down to a small child.
    Anyway none the less great vid gave a lot to think bout even for potentially new players.

      Orion will have a different feel, I think. Opening an American office , not sure how I feel about that. Our country is so extreme about politics and identity it leaches into everything. Cyberpunk 2077 is far enough removed from that to have a timeless (ironically) feel to it. I think making it more American will make it more a product of an era, more a mirror of the American left vs. right than a mirror of mankind vs. itself. That is my worry: however, I still have hopes that it may continue to transcend this and it will keep asking the important questions.

    • @Cyber6string
      @Cyber6string 2 місяці тому

      Oh just quick addition: my “head canon” on V is that they are actually a rogue AI that breached the Blackwall , entering V’s body after the head wound for the purpose of assimilating Alt.

    • @123Suffering456
      @123Suffering456 2 місяці тому +1

      I've heard the news of the woman they employed, and I'm a little worried as well. I guess we can only wait and see what happens. I hope for the best because I think if CDPR just sticks to the way they've been crafting the first game and just plan it out better and give it enough time, we'll have a winner.
      It gives me confidence, also, to know that someone like Sasko has climbed the ladder and is now an associate director at Orion. From what I've seen (in this video as well), he's a great guy who knows what he's doing and cares about Cyberpunk. I hope they kept many of the other competent and passionate senior devs on board as well, particularly in the writing branch where this woman has been employed. Should help balance her out if she's bad, as well as potential other negative influences. That is my idea, anyway. Still, it is worrying, also because CDPR has apparently made the whole diversity and inclusion thing a bigger focus in recent years, which is worrying with how it seems to have negatively impacted games' quality recently.
