I recently went from waist-length to a buzz cut (gave my hair) and I am so happy I got to try it out ! It's going to be so fun trying out these pixie hairstyles.
When I look back on pictures of my mom in the 90's all I see is: deep brown or black lip liner, with a pastel nude in the middle...no blending. Paired with long hair with a huge perm, that's puffed over to the side. And they all had a plaid shirt that was buttoned all the up to the collar. 90's chola styles were the best.

Used to have a pixie for about 20 years, but my face is too fat now, I resemble a smiley emoji 🙂 . Now I wear it short over the ear on one side, full fringe and chin length layer bob on the other.
I predict butterfly clips coming back hard with other shapes. Sloth clips, shoe clips, hamburger clips, eyeball clips (if I had my way). Kind of like the fun-shaped plastic barrettes of childhood.

Does anyone else remember the circular headband that has a bunch of spikes? You flip your hair over, put the headband around your neck, then push it up into place around your head, flip your head over, and bam! So much volume and texture!
Once I stopped living with my mother and let my hair chemicals grow out, I found out I never needed a perm. I just needed a cut and styling process that let my natural, thick loopy curls out! To this day the only thing I change is how long it is. Always longish, layered enough to not weigh down the curls, and careful product selection. Though I'm seriously considering going a shade lighter than my light brown and then letting it fade out strawberry blonde like I used to. JVN, in the 90s, I had a fade undercut died purple, with the top section about cheekbone length and tweety bird yellow. I was always ahead of my time. hehehehe
