I'm happy that I chose to visit the car dealer because my colleague mentioned that it was as easy as attaching a new one purchased from the automotive parts store. I might have considered taking it to a local tire repair shop, but they likely wouldn't have been aware of how to prevent any harm to the sensor.
Tip.when doing rubber tpms stems snip some cuts in the bottom of the stem.itll pop out better .i pop the sensor on before i pull it through so you dont have to worry about turning the stem after.but good video
Good video, I have a problem with leaking valve stem losing about 5pounds in 10 days, (have done the soapy water test and it bubbles up if left for a while) its a tpm sensor valve and the stem has been replaced 3 times by the tyre fitter, and it's quite a pita, I'm gonna have to get it looked at again! Have been thinking, could a tyre sealant help in this instance which I could install or would that be a waste money for this. Am also think of replacing the whole tpm sensor along with the stem. Your thoughts please..
Mines just unscrewed itself when I was going to get air ….jus what my luck and I couldn’t get help from nobody I had to take it while the tire was flat to a tire shop 🤦🏾♂️jus my dang day
ISUZU, regular maintenance at Tang Park Thailand. Never any problems within 10 years, 200,000km. Except loosing some air pressure over night, sometimes, irregular, 4 wheels. Now at rainy season the tyres (new and older) get beaten hard from unexpected wide deep potholes.
I just had new tires on my 2012 taurus and now suddenly i have leaking valve stems. Belle Tire never suggested replacing the stems when the tires were off the rims. Now I have to take the car back in to get the stems replaced. Sure sounds like a scam to me! Suddenly my stems leak... Unreal! Ive given them 1100. already and now they want more. Bull crap!
Thanks brother. My stupid coworker/roommate didn't check this part before putting my tire back on my car. I was thinking I did something wrong like buy the wrong tire. But nope

Great vid. Just what I needed to understand how the valve works. Thanks !!
Same
If you don't have those stupid sensors in the tire you can swap the stem without pulling the tire off the rim.

Are metal stems better, or is it personal aesthetics over rubber stems?
It sucks when the valve stem core just pops off when you're driving, that happened to me 2 times on the same car last year...
Please tell me it wasn't on the Silvia 😭
I've seen a video of a guy who's tire went out on him and totaled his car
great job with video and audio explanation
Easy to understand, Thank you
i just learned something new today
thank you 🤟🏼

+Dave Linkson Thanks for watching! If the issue has come back multiple times then the next step might be replacing it entirely!
Good one mate thank u
Awesome! That our problem, Thanks!
Thank you help full
I got a forcing cone which allows me to change a valve stem in under 1 minute... we have to do this regularly on tedikr wheels.
thanks for tips
I have the tire sensors, but I don't have the tool to take off the tire from the rim. Can I still do this job by myself?
Tire pressure sensors TPMS are causing havoc with these leaks.
How much does it cost for valve replacement at a mechanic?
re the stem removal tool do they sell the rubber piece separate ?
Awesome video...
Great video, subbed.
I just tightened mine with a socket wrench and it stopped the bubbles.
Good stuff! 👍🏾

Is there nothing that Soapy Wooder can't do?

The core (Schrader valve) leaks many times, thats an easier fix.
I found that out yesterday. Just twisted it on better.
not everyone has the senser you dont need to remove tire if you dont have one just break bead on valve side
where can I buy that wire brush attachment for my drill?
looks like a gun cleaning brush so perhaps check out a gun shop.
My valve is leaking leaking but I do not see the air bubbles
Will Nitrogen filled tire prevent this corrosion in the valve stem area from happening?
Not an expert, but nitrogen sounds like 100% hype to me.
@@rp9674 it is
no need for all the tool do it by hand
New tire it is
Rubber gloves for clean tire work? Why?
