This is why we love sennheiser, durability and build quality is one you can't beat. We love our G4 EW500 series microphones...
They are the best and we are happy with that investment

I do not recommend the D1 2.4 GHz in any live performance at a distance greater than 15 ft from the mic to the receiver I own 6 of these and they produce static, dropouts in a clean environment with no other possible disruption and in communicating with their support team for an hour live troubleshooting they mentioned to me that this is a problem with these Microphones interfering with routers and modems but regardless they fail when I had everything off and still whiteness low connection strength. I was given no other option and was told they quit making these for this reason. The Dynamics of the Mic are amazing and love the returned sound into the sound system but not when I can't rely on them with 300 people in a room.

1 transmitter per device and one receiver capable of multiple simultaneously streamed inputs would be nice, any products that do that??? Scenario - Singing guitarist/bassist (1 transmitter for mic & 1 for instrument) and monitoring via wireless in ears. You could even build a transmitter into the pickguard & cavity of a Strat and have a rechargable battery built into the tremolo cavity cover of a guitar like Fishman do to power their Fishman Fluence Guitar Pickups, although odds on you may need a bigger capacity and/or a more energy efficient battery. A variation to this guitar setup would include a wireless transmitter from guitar to pedalboard and then wireless from pedalboard to power amp. I'm guessing the limitations will be met if other band members use the same setup. What do touring professional musicians use? With the advancements in other technology, you would think this would be normal and relatively affordable. The limitations must be alot to do with the laws governing radio frequencies and the associated bandwidth to carry the audio streams without significant degradation to the signal. I would like to see 50 rechargable xlr wireless transmitters added to microphones used on Terry Bozzio's massive drum kit, lol. That's a challenge for your team Sennheiser.

great zero are you sure bout that buddy? I'm afraid you're actually misinformed... Kindly invite you to perform your own tests analog vs digital. I bet you'll be amazed at how far digital Technology can outperform analog counterparts. Wish you luck!

I installed 5 tonight and I’m getting a ton of “static” from all consistently as I move around the room...

Eldred are you still using you ewD1's. I brought 4 two handheld's and two lapels a few years back and found them to be the king of dropouts. I pulled them back tonight to see if I was missing something. I've been checking reviews to see if others are having the same problems before I sell them.

I have the Sennheiser wireless RS 195 and RS 180, which work from a transmitter(s). It seems that Sennheiser is close to inventing a wireless Bluetooth headphone which will soon be still Bluetooth but a high grade fidelity audio.
