In the comic books after Dutch gets back home he's in the Hospital dying from radiation poisoning. Then he disappears from his room. The Predators had kidnapped him. They heal him and even give him genetic improvements out of respect for his abilities. He is then taken back to their home world. He then spends years hunting with them. Dutch was supposed to show up as a cameo explaining all of this in one of the sequels, but Arnold was unable to make it because of scheduling problems.
In many Native American tribes, the warriors would cut the chest as a way to say, "this is my heart, the heart of a warrior". He stayed to die not running in fear but standing his ground like a true honorable warrior. This movie did a great job honoring Native American and modern U.S. Military warriors.
I always thought that he recognized they were being hunted by some kind of warrior, most likely not of this world however he might have defined that to himself, and he was giving up his own life as a distraction to give the rest of the team time to escape of course, but he also realized that one of these two options was also happening. Most likely, if there were some kind of honor involved with the hunt, he was denying the Predator the chance to draw first blood as a kind of "F you" to maybe get him to actually engage in some kind of duel to really ensure there would be a fight that could possibly give the team a chance or that if the Predator was collecting trophies (remember how many skinned bodies they've found) then Billy could also ruin the hide he wanted to collect as another sort of "F you" to get the same effect . I do love that heart of a warrior framing though, that's great.

How about the natives of persia or the natives of north africa. u do know those places weren't always musIim right? When's the last time u payed tribute to them.
When I went to Mexico in 1990, you could horseback in the jungle, and you came across this spot. They had created a bar, etc, and a rope swing that swung you over the water scene, and you could swim in the exact spot. They also had huge wood sculptures of Arnold in full gear to protect the pot/Marijuana crops.
I think Pred 2 benefits from slowly revealing the Predator over the length of the movie like the original did. Other sequels just throw them out there in the first scene I know we alredy have seen the Predator but still

So it becomes a shoot first ask questions later type of situation. A lot of people think Mac yelled Sargent because of subtitles but the script clearly says he yelled contact.

Maybe the best thing about the Predator as a monster is that it ISN'T a monster. He's just incredibly skilled as a hunter and wants a fair fight. He has a code of honor and he can think and plan and actually make decisions about what he does. He's not some insane cannibal or alien monster with no thoughts. He's the hunter, and Arnold is the prey.
Fair to the extent that they match weapons with weapons, no guns in a hand to hand combat and also spare noncombatants. Also they are not mass murderers.
When the Predator shot Dutch (Arnold) with his plasma canon it hit Dutch's M16 near the receiver-butt area causing minor burns and the bleeding stops when cauterized by the plasm. So, when Dutch falls in water it washes the blood away and no more bleeding. A very logical explanation for a very fictional movie. 😉

The actors are great also..James Earl Jones..Max Von Sydow..and Mako ( who is the wizard character as well as the best narrator in a movie in my opinion personally.. good fighting choreography with sword technique ( a Japanese sword fighting teacher trained the acters some for the film..and was an actual character in the movie briefly) ..no cgi..minimum special effects ..real stunts..Arnold happened to be the perfect visual representation of Conan ..like Christoph Reeve for the Superman movies in the 70's and 80's..even with some flaws or things I would think changing that would have made the movie better..it's a good movie . I sneaked into the movie in 1982 to see it..since I was twelve I was prohibited..it was a " PG17 " rated movie..I had gotten a ticket for some other movie that was showing at the same time..waited for the start time..went into the movie that I had tge ticket for..then after sixty seconds or so I went to the restroom in the lobby..waited about twenty seconds..came out..lobby was clear..went right into Conan 😄😃
In the 80s I was a Radio Shack Junkie and built a makeshift entertainment center with so many speakers it took up the wall. I was a DJ then. When This Movie came out on VHS, we had a party and would play the Shooting the Jungle scene so loud with windows open, the cops were called on shots fired. When we showed them what it was they fuckin Freaked Out and made us close the window and Play It Again!
Jesse Ventura, the guy chewing tobacco. He was a Navy Seal. He was a professional wrestler called Jesse, "the body" Ventura. He was also the Governor of Minnesota.
At 43:20, it wasn't a weak-ass laser. The laser hit Arnold's weapon. Not him. The rifle was destroyed and exploded, injuring Arnold. He was lucky. He would have gone out just like Jesse if it hadn't hit the gun.
You guys never miss anything. When Mack kills the boar and one of you said "whos laughing", that was the predator mimicking Billys laugh from earlier. Great videa as always

If a predator showed up in medieval algeria they would probably call them some sort of djinn. That's an interesting idea for a movie. Medieval north african warriors fighting an alien monster.
56:15 predators/ hunters have a certain code. That if ever they found a warrior that they acknowledged as strong. They will put a mark on their face. A symbol that will mark that this person is not to be killed or seen as a prey. There is a alien vs predator movie that shows how a prey becomes a hunter and bestowed the mark of the predator.

Special Operation teams train an insane amount so they can predict each other's moves and preferences this is key to their effectiveness; Dillon (Apollo Creed) has been running a desk so long he is out of practice throwing off their routines. These types of teams have and respect rank but in field and off they are brothers first rank second. They need to talk and act fast, so ideas need to be conveyed quickly to preserve the mission effectiveness and safety of team members. Jesse Venture the "sexual tyrannosaurus" who operates "old painless", was a Navy Seal in real life who served in Vietnam war.

I think you guys would enjoy the movie, "Patton" starring George. C. Scott. It's a true story about a WWII general with a hard-edged personality. He was controversial but succeeded in winning battles.
I’ve flown in those helicopters when i was in the army and i can tell you that those helicopters are so loud you couldn’t hear your own voice while yelling let alone anyone else or that radio boombox. You have to wear headphones and speak over the intercom in order to talk to anyone in those helicopters.

This is one of the first vhs tapes I bought. I liked the second one two and Alien vs predator also I think the one after with Danny Trejo I believe.
I saw this movie secretly while being about 10 years old 😁 It surely scared me beyond my expectations but I love this movie ever since.
Later on comes the Alien vs Predator showdown.
Goes down hill from there.

Special Operation teams train an insane amount so they can predict each other's moves and preferences this is key to their effectiveness; Dillon (Apollo Creed) has been running a desk so long he is out of practice throwing off their routines. These types of teams have and respect rank but in field and off they are brothers first rank second. They need to talk and act fast, so ideas need to be conveyed quickly to preserve the mission effectiveness and safety of team members. Jesse Venture the "sexual tyrannosaurus" who operates "old painless", was a Navy Seal in real life who served in Vietnam war.

Imagine if you went deer hunting in the woods and you ran into a bunch of super ripped deer with miniguns, that's basically the day this alien is having.
Two of the actors in this movie actually later became Governors of two US states. Arnold Schwarzenegger became governor of California and Jesse Ventura became governor of Minnesota.

Proper action film, like Spielbergs Jaws, you don’t see the bad guy until near the end of the movie, just tension build up.
I’ve flown in those helicopters when i was in the army and i can tell you that those helicopters are so loud you couldn’t hear your own voice while yelling let alone anyone else or that radio boombox. You have to wear headphones and speak over the intercom in order to talk to anyone in those helicopters.
The newest Predator movie is called Prey. It takes place back in early 1800's America. It's really good.

It is idiotic garbage.
A helicopter coming in at a low altitude and high speed will need to angle back like that in order to slow down more quickly.
I recommend 'evil dead 2'. It's built that it's okay to miss the first one.
