- Quick video with some work on the vintage Campagnolo Record Pista rear hub. Smoothing out the scratched sides with fleece and sand paper. Then, Inserting the hub bearings and assembling the rear hub.

Beautiful old hubs! I still ride Nuovo Record hubs from 1977, on their 4th or 5th set of rims. They're all that's left from my old Raliegh Professional. They are still amazingly smooth and among my fastest wheels.
Check out that old track racers trick using Simichrome metal polish or even toothpaste, CAREFULLY, instead of grease to polish the races.
Do NOT ride more than 1/4 mile with polish in your hubs. Then, Extra Thoroughly clean out the gunk, install brand new balls and use extra high quality grease. This is WELL WORTH the extra hassle. Overhauling hubs is really easy, quick and very rewarding! Practice makes perfect!

I liked the idea of using a axle to polish the hubs, but why use vaseline instead of regular grease?
Thank you. I use Lithium white from Yarrow. I think it's perfect for bearings...Oh I see it was maybe a mistake in subtitles, grease is more accurate

(by RocknRoll lube) Extra special grease in fine hubs makes that special little difference.
Way back when in my racing days, we used light machine oil for dry races or the track.

acabei de por eles na minha caloi 12 super italy eu queria saber de vc que é um ótimo profissional na área das vintage se tem como e quais rolamentos vc indica aqui temos o skf e os enduros eu tenho um amigo aqui o unico que mexe com essas speed vintage assim como vc tem esse mesmo ferramental que vc tem ai..muito
