Chop, this boat is great. I use it 98% of the time in the open ocean off the North Washington coast and I will tell you it is not an ocean boat. The tunnel is too low. That being said, if you tack across the swell like a sailboat, it does fine but don't plan on going directly point to point in the open ocean. Great boat, I would def buy again.
