How to play pirated games on Linux

- This is the quickest, most reliable, and most effective way I found to play games outside Steam on Linux, be it a pirated game, a DRM-free game, or any other types of games.
DISCLAIMER: this video is made purely for educational purposes, which does not include the incentive for piracy. This is merely a way to show the Linux community how to do something that they could do on Windows. I have over 250 games on Steam, I own multiple videogame consoles in which I bought dozens of games on each one of them. I also paid for the game I'm showcasing in this video. - Наука та технологія

Nice tutorial for something I will never use, ever ; ) ! Before this tutorial, I would have, hypothetically, tried to launch a game a game via Lutris, but I think it would probably not work as well. Of course, I wouldn't know, since I would never ever try anything like this, ever, obviously.

@@JosephAlnasl I think they were just joking because in the Linux community there is a very old joke of Linux users not having a partner because they are too busy tinkering with the OS. Of course, I was absolutely not flexing, I don't consider having a partner a flex in any way really.

i play pirated games through lutris, literally is the same process that you do on windows when you pirate a game, except for the fact that you have even more options in lutris than in normal windows, and the best is that now lutris can use proton and proton ge officially so is even easier to pay all your pirated games lol

a lot of games won't even start when i use heroic or lutris like nfs rivals, oblivion etc... can someone please give a suggestion on how to fix that ?

I tried the demo for Dark Souls Remastered, loved the game so much after completion I bought all 3 games.
Something I would have never done if I didn't have a 7 seas demo.
Also how do you get around to installing game on Linux, I couldn't for the life of me get a fitgirl installer to actual decompile/extract the game.

Good tutorial if you're set on gaming with Linux. After spending a couple hours trying to get control over my laptop fans and turbo button, I decided to spend 20 mins setting up Windows dual boot. I don't see the advantage of gaming on Linux if Windows is an option.
@@BigDaddyPuffAlot true, and now that I only have a gaming laptop (sold my desktop) I'm just using Windows 11. I've never been a Linux aficionado, but I liked using it on my desktop because it worked better for some stuff that was broken at the time (first suspend, then some USB controller problems). Now with this Nvidia laptop I tried Linux just to test it and tbh the results were very underwhelming when connecting it to a secondary monitor. People say it's Nvidia's fault and in some way it really is, but as a consumer, I'll just use the OS that works best with the PC I bought. That's also why I stopped making Linux videos on this channel. Maybe I'll give it a shot again once Cosmic gets released (and if it actually manages to be a good DE).

It doesn't work on the flatpak version, because flatpak sandboxes the applications by default.
Huh? I use Flatpak Heroic and Bottles all the time. It works just fine. Granted, I always use SteamUnlocked so I don't need to install anything, and I always put stuff in ~/Games ~/Downloads or ~/Documents

Is there a big difference when it comes to performance when gaming on Linux compared to windows?
Mostly u will get a performance boost because linux is lighter by its design
As far as I know is nearly the same, sometimes one is 5% or so better than the other depending on the game but is practically the same

Usually the _funny_ games don’t have online support.
The official steam games can be launched using directly steam with very quick and easy setting, you should look for “enabling proton on linux”.
For Elden Ring you have “gold” support which means should work, you can look for “ProtonDB” and search for the games you’re interested in, protondb is a list of games with rates on how well they work on linux.
I don’t know about the mod usage.

I think it shouldn’t be a problem as long as you have access to the exe, doesn’t matter if you installed it on windows or linux, is the same .exe still
Just copy the files directly, no problem.

I'd recommend you get your games through legal mean only and definitely avoid websites like steam unlocked due to the fact that they distribute pirated games.

So, I switched to Linux - Ubuntu recently and am now trying to play some games. I have followed this tutorial, but when i try to launch the game, it starts to load and then automatically gets closed. This issue also exists in Lutris. If anyone knows about this, then please let me know.
