Though I belong to a middle class family, but my parents have spent a lot of money to exploring new new places taking us along with them. I feel so lucky to have a family who managed our education, kept a good relation with relatives by giving them expensive gifts,my marriage and also fulfilled our travel goals.

But to get all of this, we had to cut few things out of our life like limited toys and clothes, always bought 2nd hand books for school, used to ride cycle to go to school , collage and tution classes, no washing machine for my mother, restaurant food once in a year, new clothes once in a year and so on.

Omg!!!! I relate to it on so many levels. And one thing that always amazes me about my father is, that he never says no to something if you ask him politely. Now, when I am 26 and he sees I can take care of myself he says yes to trips I have never imagined. I believe he wants to give us all the happiness he could. Now, I understand the reason behind the decision my parents have been making for years. When I was a kid, a teenager, the only thing that seemed to be my enemy was my family, maybe because I was growing up, and everything fascinated me, but now I can see crystal clear.
