    For added security insert an airtag on the internal pocket

    Great video and explanation, as you always do Dany! I know you didn't make the bag, but when I saw the way the brake levers stay in the bag ... I thought straight away at a video where they showed the way they handle the luggage at the airport. Not everything is for everybody. For me, I would buy only the plastic case. Thanks for sharing and good luck.

    Cargo handlers throw baggages around with little regard to the contents of the bag. Also, what if they lay it down flat in the cargo hold and throw/stack other boxes or luggages on top of it? The first thing that will break are the shifters among other things. That is my biggest concern. Other than that, it's a nice, well-made bike bag.

    Hi! Is it possible to use the rear derailleur protector with thru axle? Or is it just for the quick release system.

    In this video, the wheels appear to be packed incorrectly according to the packing instructions and the manufacturer’s video. To protect the disc brake, the rims should be packed with the disc facing the inside of the bag. Not the outside as shown here.

    Did you find a way to install the rear derailleur protector when using with 12mm thru-axle? I can't for the life of me figure it out and they provide no instruction!

      @@peterairborne No way with the through axel. Im just packing mine for a trip tomorrow and only just remembered that when I used it for the first time last October to come up with a bodge. Only thing I've just thought of is drilling the protector to match the axel. Its no use as it is to me so will try that when im back.

    putting a lock on the bag is just waste of money they open zipper with ballpoint pen and then just move the zipper around to put it back. best is to wrap the case/luggage
    Edit: by using ballpoint pen they wont damage the zipper and you wont notice until you open the case

      The pressure on earth is around 1 atm, while it can be quite different on an airplane. This difference could burst your tube/tire if there is lots of pressure in it.

  • @laurapiovan9121

    What about tubeless tires? Do you also need to fully deflate them if you use this bike bag?

    • @clarkcooper2920
      @clarkcooper2920 Рік тому +1

      For any tires, tubed or tubeless, the two main reasons to deflate them are (1) to avoid overpressure bursting of the tire or tube and (2) so that the wheels fit in the bags. Even if the aircraft cargo hold were at zero pressure (hard vacuum), the increase in tire pressure would be less than 15 psi. So if you normally inflate your tires for riding to, say, 80 psi, they should be deflated for flight to about 65 psi. The 65 psi pressure in the tires during flight affords protection of the wheel rims, etc.

    • @laurapiovan9121
      @laurapiovan9121 Рік тому

      @@clarkcooper2920 my question was more meant as : do tubeless tyres fit in this bag even without completely deflating them? Fully deflating tubeless tires is actually not recommended (you can just deflate them a bit… but not fully deflate them) .
