I really liked how you played the game, specially the first 3 rounds. Getting the Hacan promissory and Trade twice in a row was a masterful play :) Also I really dug how you behaved at the table, not being overly talkative (like the Naalu or Saar) or trying to control the table, but staying in the shadows and nevertheless still making deals with players. Got really lucky with objectives and that gravity rift lol
49:55 - 10 fighters are clearly visible 51:16 - 11 fighters are visible, one plastic figure was off camera 51:42 - someone lays a component token near the fighters (could be mistaken for a 3 fighter token if misplaced) 52:00 - Saar reaches for his fighter, but pulls away for shields holding discussion 52:20 - Saar removes a 3 fighter counter and continues discussions 52:30 - Saar fiddles with the fighters in his hand after removing them. 52:43 - Saar puts the 3 fighter tokens back near the combat 53:02 - Saar notices the 3 fighter token near his fighter stack and stacks them back to 11 fighters erroneously.
Cheating again... Should be banned. Cheating in a board game is so sad! After he cheats with the command token from his re-inforcements he brags about how many tokens he has later in the round. I bet he does it in every game
I'm trying to figure out what the hell is going on during this negotiation and with the game and all I hear is robo shrader, who's walking in the background with the hat and pre-gum. "Almost separate thing happening" is right.
Did the Political Rider not succeed? Did Hacan defeat it in order to get the Speaker token? It seems like it played into the hands of Naalu. Couldn't follow what happened right there and no one explained.
To gum refere to stall an opponent advance by putting lone cheap ship on his path, forcing him to waste command counter to get rid of it if he don't have the appropriate tech to go through (third blue tech, I can't remember the name right now). Ideally this is done with a fighter II which can stand alone in a system and cost 1 for 2.
gum up the works = placing solitary (usually cheap) ships on the spaces between your systems/main fleets. Basically you do this to prevent an opponent to use Gravity Drive/Flank Speed to reach to your systems, thus giving you more time to react. You waste a command counter (by sending a ship to a useless space) in hopes that it pays off later in the game (usually does, as seem in this game)
So, after the bald guy had been digging at his beard all day, cleaning under his nails with his teeth, and yes, picking his nose, dudes going to catch an M&M in his mouth after bald guy had his hands in the M&M bag? Disgusting!
This is the Jol Nar. I didn't go after Sol because he had my ceasefire.
Nate Swenson well played game so far.
@@Solmead thanks!
Haha, yes: our commentators seem to have forgot that fact.
Nate Swenson you played a great JN game brother! You timed everything right!

agreed exactly
Someone commented on an earlier video that he cheated there too, he activated a system with a token from his supply instead of his board

It’s pretty obvious now I see it he seemed like an arse hole all game hope he got banned
this is so fun to watch guys, the format is just perfect, also the different personalities of the players made it great
The announcers seem to have forgotten Sol has Jol NARS ceasefire still. That’s why they didn’t go for Sols homesystem.

Hacan can trade action cards. Naalu and Hacan traded the political rider, but when the Hacan player played it the Sol player sabotaged it.
It wouldn’t be TI finals without a bunch of commentary about what the SAR player is eating.
It's a waking nightmare... for that carrot
Why do the commentators keep saying "gum"? What does that mean?
i think it means to slow down play from opponents. e.g. placing a unit in a system stalls movement

*carrot intensifies*
By far the worst player in this game is the Sol Player, so many poor plays that really screw the balance of the entire table.
after I saw how he played round one I did not hope for much
