Love all your videos bud, you're a great versatile player. Really u make any ship work, love that. I've takin a lot of tips and play style from your content and I have to say it's made me a much better player, especially with the cruisers. Love playin cruisers both heavy and light.
The Mk7(406mm) is 20,300mm long the 457mm is 21,936mm long. Calibre is the length of the barrel in how many times the bore. So it would be 406mm long by 50time and 457mm long by 48 times. It’s not a set or predetermined length. Both the Monty Oh Hi o should have 127mm/L54 DP, 40mm Bofors and 20mm orelikin, probably even a .50bmg or two. Americans answer to do we put AA on the guns was “yes, all the guns”
@@FunandGameswithTerry Yes, especially with Legendary CDR AP bonus if you land like 6 rounds of a broadside you kill a fair number of ships under 50% health. It is the only Tier X BB I have but I suggest playing this ship. It is pretty easy to get 100K games and possibly to get over 140K. I beef up torpedo protection so a Shimakaze cannot take you out with one pass and flame reduction as you het caught on fire a lot. I am close to Montana and GK. One of these will be my next Tier X BB. Do you suggest GK? This is one of the BBS that seems pretty tough.
I like the Kurfürst. You can use precise aim in the first, static half of the battle and do some damage with the mains, while shrugging off most BB AP. Once things get moving, you fire up the engines and get into secondary range. But it's not for everyone, you do need to know when to push, and be wary of HE spammers. I've got Yamamoto on Nagato atm, getting to Yamato is a long-term goal.
I can honestly say that Epicentre is one of my least favourite modes. I groan every time I hit it, unless I'm in a DD, since there's so little you can do to compensate for your teammates. I find this one of the single most difficult modes to carry in, and it works so much better for certain ships than for others. I've had some Benham games on Epi recently, and that's just hilarious. Engine-boost towards the centre island, spam blind torps left and right of it for any enemy DD who pokes out, and be reloaded by the time you get there, then smoke up and just hold.
This ship demands a great shooter for it to be effective. You have more room for error in Montana and still come out with similar results. Needs 3 or 4 citadels per game.
I rarely get more than 2 citadels, unless I get to shoot at cruisers or CVs. You can catch the occasional citadel against BBs, but it's rare from my experience so far. One thing that i noticed is that I need to show more side in these ships with a balanced turret layout, compared to 2-1 setups. I a Kurfürst that's not so much an issue, but in these things... in a Yamato, I could be completely bow-in, and still get 2 more guns to bear, with better precision. The rudder shift is terrible, even with modules, which is why I've been trying to actually use island cover and stay undetected if possible, to get all 8 guns to bear.
She looks nice but I don’t think I will get her in any way, Also I started grinding the British heavy cruiser and the tier 5 is just a pain ( the single guns aren’t good for this tier, I wonder why they put her there )
Speedy and with reload booster. Well just don't broadside as much, and your steering sucked. So duel at medium ranges to avoid torpedos and make up for the average accuracy. I had pulled some good victories with Montana and had fallen in love with the ship.
It's not my favourite line - until tier 8, they're very slow. I didn't like North Carolina much, Iowa is actually fun. Not sure about Montana herself. Good AA, best in class fire / flooding damage reduction, average armour in upper tiers.
I sympathize with game 1. The team went off sightseeing at the edge of the map. Hard to understand how people play the game at Tier X and avoid the cap circle like the plague. The other thing weird thing you see is a carrier player| who won’t fly planes for a minute or 2 in the game.
I have an Epicentre game coming up where we had a really good team that understood map control, flanks and the position of their ships. It's so insanely strong on this mode. And yeah, I have no idea what CVs are doing some days. I get anything between people sailing around aimlessly without launching planes, to lagtorp-cheaters, and everything in between.
My son actually played the game first, shortly after it came out years ago, he was the one who got me started. He's not playing anymore, but has been co-commentating in some of my earlier videos, and he did the very first giveaway draw: ua-cam.com/video/ptb8yLgynsk/v-deo.html
I really want this ship for my American BB collection BUT 2000 Gold for a .70% chance of it dropping out of the crate is absurd. They aren’t even honest about it considering they list the chance at above 2% but when you factor in the other three ships available in the crate, you’ll most likely NEVER receive this ship unless you blow an entire paycheck on it. No thanks. WG could do better.
Sad really, we have to drop a lot of golds for one ship. Heck, we have to drop a lot of gold for a good premium ship at all. With all my luck playing the game so far, i only got Aurora and Huanghe
You can get some mid-tier premiums as mission rewards, or from medium crates (keys in the fleet shop). Higher-tier premiums, go shipyard - copper is reasonably easy to collect, and you can often get a decent T8 premium for it.
I’m glad they didn’t make a OP premium tho. How do you think the Ohio ranks up against the shikishima? Seems as if the dispersion on the Ohio is so sub par , it’s hard to get any real damage out.
USN BBs are shell throwers, you might not get much done with one salvo, but you get another one rather soon. I agree that she feels balanced, although rather similar to Monty. Not a ship I really like, but I'd probably prefer her over Shikishima - 6 guns are really too few in long-range duels, where you can expect, on average, to get 50% shells on target. I'd rather take something that lets me try again quickly.
So, Terry when u are comparing the Montana and the Ohio, for the Montana that's not the stock range of the guns sense that is a fully upgraded Montana meaning this Montana has a more firing range because she is fully upgraded. For the Ohio its different story since it's a premium ship.
Well, the difference is that premiums come out fully upgraded, whereas tech tree ships need to use blueprints. When I do comparisons between tech tree and premium ships, I'm always making sure they're both fully upgraded.
would I personally buy the ship (I don't do loot crates)? Probably not, doesn't quite match my playstyle, and I think she'll be sufficiently close to the Monty, if I ever felt so inclined. But that's not to say it's a bad ship, or people shouldn't buy her. Everyone gets to choose how they spend their own money :)
I play mostly random games, especially on Press, since I don't division there for fairness. Support is a luxury, I generally prefer ships that can do well in all situations.
Accuracy is ok, I think range is pretty much comparable. The 457s are hitting harder than Kremlin's - I'll have to play Monty to compare, but my gut feeling is that they're very similar in terms of damage potential.

How Ohio plays: long range shooter.
How Terry wants to play: TERRY SMASH!!
It really isn't quite my favourite style, sitting at 15km and trading salvos with BBs three times a minute.
Ohio isn't a good sniper to begin with
@@FunandGameswithTerry well yeah that's why tirpitz is life, as a grumpy old gnome would say "live fast, die young and leave a good looking corpse" ;)

When you play this ship for the first time but the Japanese destroyer hiding around the corner comes out and says,
*"Ohio (Ohaiyou)."*
And if a Japanese destroyer knocked out the Ohio, it would say
“Ohayo Ohio”
Damn, I really should have made a cat thumbnail and go with "oh hai"
Hahaahahahhahaa

Yes the are amazing just fire he at odds and starting from tier 8 the have good AA and also don't damage control single fires.
