    We pick up an old Seadoo Speedster Jet boat and start to clean it up and fix it up! The DESS key post we have suspected to have failed so we are replacing it in this episode.

    Hi I'm new to the channel will you be doing more on the 1996 jet boat their is alot of people into those boats and UA-cam lacks people fixing them so it's nice to see you are working on one.

    I love solder connectors, but I made the mistake of using them in an engine compartment and the heat in there degraded the solder over time and it took me forever to figure out that was the reason my engine kept dying. Good crimp connectors are best in hot environments. Looks like a fun project!

      I was thinking that too, but these are not in the engine compartment, so I think I should be OK. But you are right nothing beats a good crimp.

    Are the engines rotary or piston?

    It's likely those engine are full of oil. If these engines have never been rebuilt the crank seal will be leaking.

      It’s so common with these. Mine leaks I just installed ball valve inline to keep the oil from dumping in when not in use

      I got it to turn over a little but I think the starters are bad. Gonna replace them next
