Fireball 2 and new fert formulation look awesome. I can’t wait for it to be available to the general public. I had really nice results with the Blackout TTTF. I followed your advice a bam!
Awesome man! Glad you're happy with the results. I've been loving the color in the back with doing my experimental nitrogen blitz on the baby grass. May be worth a shot!
It really is man! I can't stand waiting. I think I'm going to do a large section of the lawn on the next video to see how it does. But I'm blown away by the initial results!
I truly appreciate this comment. Thank you! I'm working hard on providing the best information/products possible for you guys. Glad you are enjoying the Blackout!
Peat Moss is highly acidic 3.0 - 4.5 hence why it can deter or even kill some germination spots. If applied has to be very lightly. What i've done in the past is if I use peat moss (trying to stay away from it now) apply some lime to alkalize the topsoil.
Fellow MN viewer here. had to do a late season over seed/bare spot repair too. Twin Cities Seed Obsidian PR mix (fire ball, hat trick and one other). Despite our lack of rain, the temps are helping us out like crazy. Had to toss down some Tuff Turf mix in the back yard too to help with an irrigation system repair. Even the TTTF is starting to come up 7 days in.
I have FB/HT down, took 11 days to germ, in 8B PNW, the sunny side is growing alot faster then shaded spot. I read that i should let it get to 4/5 then cut to 2.5/3 for lat growth thoughts? My first reno and i cant tell whats baby and whats consider establish.
HEY Jesse! Totally understand the Renovation situation :( Had Pavers installed in my backyard and ROCKS have been my enemy for the rest of the season. Question - I only have REEL mowers so how LOW can I go to keep the Blackout grass maintained? I will be using my Cal Trimmer for the rest of the year.
Our TTTF can be maintained at 1 inch. All of the other blends can be maintained even lower. Rocks and reel mowers definitely don't mix! Hope you get everything out!
I missed the mixture blend you used. Was it on an earlier video that I missed? Your work is amazing, gives us regular guys a goal!!! Keep up the great work!
Hoping next spring it will be ready. I'm sending it out to a few people around the US to test it out to make sure we're all going to get similar results. Thanks for watching!
I did a soil test..low on all Marco and micros.. How many times a week should I apply some macros and micros? 🙏 Amazing vid can't wait till that blackout 2.O comes in!
Got the advice from you to leave it on the leaf blade and ive noticed minor Browning, from iron i would assume. No one else can notice soo F it i do it anyway 😂 when that fert comes out i will buy it!
Yes iron. Can play a part in that if you go too heavy with it on a foliar app. I might dial back the rate a bit on this and see if I notice a difference. Didn't notice any browning on the back!
Blackout seed is awesome if anyone's curious. Hoping you all can see some of my before/afters for the contest. Jesse let me know if you got my email, dont want to miss out!
It really is. I keep getting compliments on my fireball/hattrick mix I put down. About to do my overseed this wknd. Oregon is still decent temps so it’ll be all good for dormancy.
I am. I know the feeling. I keep asking myself, if this one was to die would I buy another one? And I probably would. There is no maintenance like a reel mower and it can handle running over a stick or rock without damaging the machine. Even though it's definitely not a perfect machine by any means.
Unfortunately not. I believe one of the cultivars in our TTTF blend is, but it's only 25% of the mix. You may not see the effects because of that reason
Don’t worry yourself about the builders. What’s the worst they can do? Get shovels and axes and dig into the lawn? Set the lawn on fire? Make dents? All of which can easily be fixed within short order. In 6 months when you’re enjoying your new outdoor area, and the grass is doing just fine, you’ll think back about the useless energy you wasted on what the builders may do. Lawns are resilient. Lawns regrow. Working in the lawn should be fun! If they knock a blade of grass out of place, you’ve got the tools and knowledge to fix it. Smile… relax… life is good 🥳
Good advice man I appreciate it! As they tore up a big chunk of my side yard lol. But you're right it's just grass. I just put a lot of time and energy into the back. I can definitely do it all over again. I'll stop stressing. Thanks for the advice!
I put Fireball / Hatrick mixed with some 3 Way Fescue in areas of my front yard that suffered from the summer. It’s all filling in nicely.
Looking forward to getting some of that fert and supporting the channel
Looking forward to that new fert!!

@@lawnlifevlogs ditto. I hit it with liquid starter fert and it got much darker. Will spoon feed again this weekend.
The hardest part of lawn care is having patience. 24 hour green-up is awesome, that's exciting!

Hi Jesse your information is very helpful and informative. You're one of the best in lawn care the blackout seed is top class

Does the new fert have a name? Looks 🔥 That scalp zapped the color out the front. Glad it'll grow back.
Need that new fertilizer mix!
Next year it will be available!
Looks great Jesse.
Thanks Dewaine! How did the overseed turn out?
Keep the content coming. I’m loving it. Always hoping to gain some knowledge. Thanks for all you do.
@@garycrawley1868 appreciate that Gary! You guys make it worth it.

Is the blackout blend good for the transition zone?

Weather has definitely helped with overseeding projects. No storms washing out seed as well! Glad you got the seed down with good results!
Lookin forward to the square patch maturing. I wanna see just how dark it’s gonna get.
I need that fert you sprayed. Do you have a link?
It's a product I've been working on this entire year. It won't be available until next year unfortunately.

rite on Brother!!

im gonna plant some midnight KBG. Any tips? I am putting down new screened soil to get it up to the concrete level.
When can we do pre-orders for fireball 2

Are you asking about the fertilizer blend? I appreciate the kind words Robert. These comments keep me pushing. Thank you so much!
@@lawnlifevlogs Yes sir! Just curious of the liquid blend you used. I purchased my first powered back pack sprayer and am anxious to put it to work!

Are you going to be selling that fertilizer
You had me at bar....LOL 👍🏻👍🏻
🍻 Need a bar to sit at and watch my grass at the same time 😂

Start with the macros, those are the most important. Every two weeks or so you can put down fert to try bringing them levels up

My Fireball 2 has had spotty germination up here near Lake Ontario in the Rochester NY area. Soils aren’t great, but its disheartening

Still using the masport? I’m so torn on ordering one because of the price. But those stripes are 🔥
