In this Grasshopper Script, you can use a curve or a polyline to generate a parametric stair and control the height of the steps and railings. More info about this script 👇 parametrichouse.com/stair-from-curve
10/10 The script construction is already a COMPLETE class of architecture. Even this could get more detailed with the threads the raises and landings. This could really generalize even more. THIS IS the exact mindset that is needed for RAMPS with handrails, Windows, Doors, Corners of streets for willchair modules on the corners, slopes on street level modules and so on. Other approaches may be classical beam column structural basic systems and modular slabs. Grasshopper is not only a device for interesting intricate complex designs. This program is for EXACTLY this too. The user could generate his repertoire using these basic departure definitions. PH, thank you very much. This is a real contribution and teaching of architecture.
Great job! 1st question: What about stairs' landing? Is it included in this algorithm? 2nd question: How to replace glass with wall instead? 3rd question: How to personalize step's profile (change from pure rectangular to more detailed)? TIA
i figured it out. the file you get from food4rhino is a zip file, so you first have to extract the files so that you get a folder that works. then you just follow the steps. Reply if you hae questions

Thanks 👍
Wow this is honestly amazing!
Thanks
great !!!

How ro change landing as riser as well. I mean to reduce step count lamding is also used as rising step.
Would like to just query, is it be possible to set the run distance of each step to a certain parameter? Cheers!
That can be an interesting option 👍
i copied and pasted the folder into the user components folder like indicated, but it doesnt appear on my bar yet :(
how to modify the curve points in Rhino interface ??
We just used multiple points from rhino and create a polyline from them.
The download link doesnt contain any files, or i cant figure out how to open it
Try downloading from Food4rhino

Its will be perfect if the stair have No. of steps
Yes sure maybe for future we will add that but you can simply use a height/no. Of steps to get the riser
