Dantonio was the man! But Knowles’ defense this year was very very good. Knowles may be the second best D coordinator and I have watched Ohio State since the late 90’s. He just needs to put up a few seasons and maybe he gets to the Dantonio conversation.

Personally, I think it would be great, Sabin and Urban coming home back to Ohio to lend their home state’s flagship college football program a hand. That’s disgusting that anyone would tell Day to go kill himself. Especially in light of his dad. I’ve seen that behavior in middle schoolers too. It’s specifically abhorrent coming from grown adults.
I’m not sold that Igbinosun coming back is a big positive. There is a lot of talent back there and you run into losing it to the transfer portal for a guy that frequently gets penalized in big games. This will be a big year for the secondary coaching staff because they can really get on Igbinosun and improve his technique. Burke has a very good year this season after being very average last year.
My only concern with Julian Sayin is his size; If he had been hit like Will Howard was in the Michigan game, Sayin might have been out for The rest of the year.

Fred Pagac, Mark Dantonio! Those were dominate defensive coordinators that didn't soften up like Knowles. Capable... yes, but softens too quickly!

Mickey needs to put 15 pounds of solid muscle onto Sayin like you said. And get his arm strength up as well so he can throw the ball harder.
He`s 6`2`` over 200 lbs. (he wants to be 215 - 220 by next season) Look at his video. He`ll be amazing as a starter.
P.S. greatest QB in OSU history, might just be Rex Kern, whom I remember well. Not the gawdy stats, but a GREAT leader and winner.
