In Charging line every component are important.
Zener diode and capacitor are used for IC safety.
Zener diode are used for over voltage protection aur capacitor are used for voltage filtration aur ground to unwanted frequency.
So for IC safety and durability we should use zener diode.
Without zener diode charging section working but how long time it work we cannot say 🙏
