asking to revert the knives because people bought them during CSGO for what they looked like then is ignoring the people who bought them during CS2 for what they look like now
Yeah the game has been out for like a year, if you didnt like the changes in cs2 people wouldve sold their knifes by now
They made their intentions clear in the beginning that they planned to make it all look like csgo. The difference is 1 got their knives changed with no heads up or warning vs 1 who ignored valve themselves

@@jed8955 its not an investment for everyone... it's a video game if I cared about a 500$ profit I could work an 10 hr shift. My pandoras boxes got reverted back to how they looked in csgo shortly after cs2 released and so did my karambit lore. I don't see why this should be an exception.

the game uses another engine, different lighting, of course it should change the appearance of how it was in CSGO

if this was the case it would be consistent and every skins in the game would be different from CSGO, but this is not the case, some are exactly how they were and some are totally different, it's should be one or another d°°mbass
arguably dopplers look so much better in cs2, i think a lot of people have bought them now for how they look. some still need to be fixed but for things like the phase 2 the unique look to them is now very important. it would be awesome if every phase had some cool way to stand out.
by this i mean no “fake” sapphires or emeralds but moreso new things like pink galaxies, pretty sure they had already existed but in the vein they look now. maybe a purple for phase 3s or something. could be cool.

"i feel bad for the people who bought them in cs go". People bought them in cs go for a way lover price, if they dont like new version (which cost more because it looks better) just go sell and get other knife. And dont forget people who bought knifes in cs2, if knifes will get downgrade to cs go version, then its not just making skin look worse, but also makes people lose money, because prices will for sure will go down in this case.

Its valve, they can do what ever the fuck they want. You can't expect skins to look like they did in an older game / engine. Thats how it works. Sell your skins and buy stocks instead, its way more consistent.

I'm still waiting for them to fix my scratched Boston autograph stickers. I had a very nice Glock that I spent a lot on putting the signature of my favorite players scratched on it, you could only see the autograph in CSGO and without marks, very clean, now in CS2 you can't see anything, they are all scratched and you can't read anything. Even if you look closely, they also made the stickers smaller since you can apply 5. The AK-47, for example, the front sticker, its best position, is not centered... disgusting.

I bought my Karambit Gamma Phase 2 a few days before CS2 was originally announced because for one I like its green colour and secondly I expected it to look even better if the CS2 rumours turned out to be true.
I really like how it is now, but I can understand that there should be more of a difference between P2 and Emerald. Perhaps the P2 should be a darker shade of green or the Emerald should be less smoky. Be that as it may the blue colour of yesterday was definitely an unintended mistake on Valve’s part. Otherwise they wouldn’t have fixed it so quickly.

i do get ur point of people buying a doppler knife in csgo for what it was back there but its like a new company car u get even tho u signed a contract for the older model, its just moving on with time and i have like 40 people in my friendlist with dopplers who are literally ALL happy with the new stuff
its like crying about an old smartphone u had years ago wich is just outdated. If people really think their knife looks worse than in csgo they just can sell it (for actually waaay more money then they bought it for bc since the cs2 trailer till now dopplers are 150-200% more expensive. And after all, its just a NEW game, its not csgo, its counterstrike 2, so get ur stuff together and learn to move on.

i think the game overall is much brighter so the knives had to be lit up a little bit, they would look unnatural if they were so dark on sucH light maps
Idk if I'm tripping or not but did they change the way Damascus steel looks in sunlight? It looks how it always does in dark areas but I feel like it looks different when the sun hits it after the last update

I bought a karambit pink galaxy back in csgo because i wanted a shiny pink knife. Now that it looks updated and even more pink and shiny i will litteraly quit the game if the would have kept the ugly changes made to phase 2 yesterday. The ugly change didn't even make them look like they did back in csgo to my phase 2's. They almost looked totaly black with 5% pink. The updated super pink and shiny knife is the GOAT, and you should not mess with THE GOAT phase of knifes

I mean it's a completely new engine that Valve uses, maybe it's just not possible anymore to make it look exactly like in GO, especially since GO was more grey than Cs2, Cs2 has better lighting, the colours are nicer, it's clear that things can change with skins too

Although the new cs2 looks are nicer in general, my problem is that the new p2 and p4 are too nice that it isn’t distinguishable enough from gems. CSGO version has more uniqueness to every phase.

Facts brother!! They have to change it like there where in csgo.. im mean wtf look at Sapphires how they apear... This is certainly not the final version, look how many skins are still broken... and now will Sapphires really look like this forever? I can not believe that. The first change wasn't intentional, they just saw that they messed up and then put all the skins back as they were. I don't think Valve's focus is on the skins right now. Otherwise they would have fixed all the other bugs
They do look perfect now, every skin looks a bit brighter in cs2. Currently own a P2 Pink Gem and it was destroyed before the fix. Gems look as they should now and the phases also.
You say that because you bought a p2 pink gem. And you expect it to look like this forever. But you don’t think about people who bought knives before cs2 release, and they also want to see knives just like when they bought them.

How they look like now is completely perfect. And yes, some general andys wont tell the difference between a sapphire or p4 or Emerald and p2, but there is a difference. And the majority of cs players will know the difference too. Because they look different.

For me, the ultimate solution would be this:
Make Dopplers look almost exactly the same as GO's, just with CS2's lighting.
Introduce a new "Galaxy Doppler", being as pink as the Phase 2s are rn with a completely Pink knife as rarest phase, problem solved.
Be greatful they ported all the skins over to cs2. Literally any other game you lose everything. Arrow is proof you can be a goof and have some level of success. Never give up.
