I can always enjoy hearing the runner go 'this is a bad run/this is super slow' while watching the vod of a WR. Congrats on anther one, love watching them each time 🙂
"People want something they understand more" - to expand on this, I think part of the disconnect people have when they see a super glitchy speedrun is that it doesn't map on to their experience of the game. If someone tells them "hey, do you want to see that game you love done as FAST AS POSSIBLE?" they are excited until they realize the exhibition they're watching isn't at all like how they experienced the game.
Yep, that's why glitchless speedruns are very popular, or speedruns for games that have very simple to understand glitches such as Mario, which don't detract to much from standard gameplay. Of course, there's also a subset of people that enjoy super broken or glitchy games as well just because of how wild the game can get, but as always not every game or run is everyone's cup of tea.
Idk, I think its slightly incorrect to blanket it all as "People want something they understand more", its borderline patronising in all honesty. I enjoy watching these types of speed runs, everything from initial discovery, to the specific sequence or requirements it needs to pull it off, to overall refinement. And games which stereotypically have a long play time, which are then do in super short times are the best ones to watch. but to me personally at the end of the day, using glitches to beat a game isn't really beating a game. Thats not a bad thing though, its just its own thing.
15:50 love using this glitch. Been using it on random friendly NPCs like Halsin to make fights in Honour Mode easier and more amusing. It breaks NPCs to a stupid degree like making them disappear forever tho
just beat the game after a little over 150 hours and wanted to know what the speedrun was like.... i had no idea jump + ff breaks the game as much as it does LMAO ggs awesome run
I'll work on more different runs after GDQ next week! Lots of plans on stuff such as glitchless. I'll try to do a controller run as well, but might do a bunch of other things in the future that seem fun to me.
Very nice seeing the run improving so rapidly, good job! However i have one question which i cant seem to reverse engineer at all. When you put shadowheart in the box you seem to do something to let you open the container box not ontop of the inventory which it does by default. May i ask what you are doing there?
For that, that's a very minor detail, so glad you noticed it! Basically, when you open a container in the game, at least on PC, the container's inventory opens on top of it in the environment. So by moving the camera to the left, the container's inventory opens towards the right side of the screen since that's where the container is positioned in view instead of on top of the player's inventory.
it looks like he’s confusing the game into sending his character to a loading zone where the game keeps assets when not in use and grabbing gortash’s stone from there to skip the fight
A few important parts that may help understanding: 1. The characters that Chronos is reverse-pickpocketing are all Orin in disguise 2. Pushing or damaging said disguised characters cause them to teleport away, which internally means they teleport to the dev area. Or in the last case Orin teleports to the Bhaal Temple after the conversation ends. 3. The ability cast is the Conjuration class ability “Benign Transposition: Teleport”, which reads “Teleport to a nearby, unoccupied space, or swap places with an ally.” Importantly this does have a cast-time.
I stream fairly often, been busy this week and won't be streaming next week for GDQ, but I should be back around the 22nd or so. I normally stream at some nights CST since I work full time, otherwise on weekends any time in the afternoon or evening. I don't have a set schedule currently though.
Full ceremorphosis gives you Fierce Perilous Stakes, which gives you an additional 15 Psychic damage per attack. (It also gives you 2d8 healing and reduces your Crit requirement number to 15, but neither were important here).
If you don't rescue the Nightsong from Shadowfell, she's in the Ketheric fight as if we defeated Balthazaar. We then release her similar to the 'saving' Nightsong path, making Ketheric vulnerable.
goes to show how padded and god awful this game is when you can easily beat it in under 22 minutes while the average player would spend 30+ hours on the first two acts. i hope the cutscenes where you have sex with animals was worth it!
You know these kinds of people have way to much time on their hands when they find ways to exploit the game like this. Outside. You should see it sometime
there's around 185K people currently playing on steam- it swept all the awards and won goty- but ya, no one cares about bg3 lol. go back to minecraft you salty loser.

I'm glad Jaheira gets an important role in the speedrun ❤ And Shadowheart really goes through the ringer 😂

Anyone who expects to see a game like this have a speedrun that looks like normal gameplay is just out of their mind.

"This is way too fast" lol
Congrats on the WR man, you're a legend

Absolutely phenominal, I love watching these!
Beating your sum of best segments is a huge feat! Congratulations!
I've done 3 full playthrough of this game and I have absolutely no idea what wizardry just happened here. Like..... What?
#impressive AF
Glitchless would be cool, these videos are so short I would love to watch more content being speedrunned.
I'll work on more different runs after GDQ next week! Lots of plans on stuff such as glitchless. I'll try to do a controller run as well, but might do a bunch of other things in the future that seem fun to me.
congratulations man, this was insane to watch!
Congrats on the WR! :)
i was watching the honour mode runs before this so seeing myrkul die in a single bear hop was shocking lol

What do u mean
He's opening the box then moving it right after

@@ChronosReturns Ahh that is clever! Thank you for sharing :) Good luck in future runs!
It takes me more time for the tutorial than you take to beat the game lmao
16:27 What just happened? Is that a debuf room or something lmao that’s hilarious
Mr Chronos to be honest :) i thought you are Korean .... but your just pure LEGEND :) (congrats !!! i have 87 hours and still didnt finish last act)
This is amazing! Don't know what I just saw... 😂 gotta ask though.. why halfling and why wizard? And why the criminal background? 😮
Did you change it to Balanced, right before the Ketheric fight?
For this run, I changed the difficulty to Explorer before the fight, since it only takes one jump to defeat Ketheric and Myrkul instead of multiple.
What the hell is happening at 16:00 - 16:32 ?
it looks like he’s confusing the game into sending his character to a loading zone where the game keeps assets when not in use and grabbing gortash’s stone from there to skip the fight

16:19 what the heck was that???
seriousily wtf happened there omg
Good work 😁
How often and when do you stream?

I just want my gold dice so hopefully this will help wish people would say the keybinds there running
Poor shadowheart
Why does perilous stakes increase his damage? I thought all it did besides decreasing a creature's resistances was let it heal on hit.

@@Chick8u i forgot about full ceremorphosis. thank you!
Why did you pick halfling and the criminal background? Just curious
You can check out my tutorial series for an in depth explanation here: ua-cam.com/play/PLHiKm2oEim6JkJlGYMd0Cm1YLZhkbUFXj.html
@ChronosReturns Thank you
I don't understand why Nightsong is in the illithid dungeon without freeing her in the temple of Shar ?
because game didn't expect you there before temple of Shar :D
You cant "legally" enter that area without dealing with Nightsond first
@@СергейЕжов-с1м OK ! It makes sense. I just need to manage that jump now !
Im in the oubliete and i cant see into the other room you jumped too?? Camera wont even tilt that far???
You can try destroying the membrane to get a bit closer, that may help with seeing into the other room.
@ChronosReturns is it posible to checked if they fixed this? Because I am really trying and I see no possible way 😭
How were you able to bypass the night song?
If you don't rescue the Nightsong from Shadowfell, she's in the Ketheric fight as if we defeated Balthazaar. We then release her similar to the 'saving' Nightsong path, making Ketheric vulnerable.
2:10 what's purpose of that?
Does this still work?
gg
What the hell is going on at 19:17? Lol
why not do it in honour?
isn't "Any%" and "All Acts" an oxymoron lol
goes to show how padded and god awful this game is when you can easily beat it in under 22 minutes while the average player would spend 30+ hours on the first two acts. i hope the cutscenes where you have sex with animals was worth it!
Baller gay three

We got the fun police over here
this is why nobody gives a fuck about BG3, it's made out of speedrun material.
there's around 185K people currently playing on steam- it swept all the awards and won goty- but ya, no one cares about bg3 lol.
go back to minecraft you salty loser.
Most games have speed runs.. you'll never encounter any of these glitches unless you try to
Nobody gave a fuck??? What? It literally won game of the year and players choice
