Dude that duo of Mantis and Drax is so good! i agree with you when said we need a serie with adventures about those two but sadly i think that is not going to happen because Batista don't want to play Drax anymore :c. Thank you guys i've been waiting for your reaction
Well the other actors besides Dave Bautista also expressed moving on from their characters like Zoe Saldana and Bradley Cooper
Watched this tonight with my kids. Spent a lot of time afterward saying "Goddammit James Gunn!" as I wiped away many tears.
Groot is all CGI - he's thicker as he's progeny not a clone.
Obviously Rocket is CGI
Cosmo is CGI, and voiced by Maria Bakalova (from Borat 2). Cosmo eventually becomes head of security at Knowhere!!
The animation is all rotoscoped and Michael Rooker was on set doing the movements. (James Gunn tweeted about this)
James Gunn also tweeted Gobots are now canon. They got to use Cykil as Hasbro were very kind, and it was funnier to use Gobots than any other.
Also Nebula "tore off Bucky's arm as she was overwhelmed with the Xmas spirit!!"
fun fact: groot is completely cgi still! a lot of people thought it was a practical suit, which really is a testament to how good his cgi looks
I had forgotten the Kevin Bacon played the bad guy in SUPER, written and direct by James Gunn...I’m a sucker for when a director puts their buddies in fun projects; it’s so very Burt Reynolds...!
also, flula borg the bartender in the club was javelin in the suicide squad.
@@michaeljeacock FLULA...!!!
It’s so great to see so many people finally finding out about Old 97’s.
Mantis is just so adorable here
Batista would make a good pre 2018 God of War Kratos if he can't land the Gears of War gig.
I'm going to miss James Gunn's contributions to the MCU. Very excited to see what can he do for the DCEU though
Cosmo is actually a girl in the MCU. She's voiced by Maria Bakalova
Miss you guys, good to see you again reacting to the videos i had interest most
I agree with your suggestion on an annual MCU Christmas Special tradition. I have long championed the idea of Star Wars also doing Holiday Specials each year, but not Life Day-themed, just a one-off hour-long story that doesn't warrant a series or feature film. Use it to play with ideas or resurrect abandoned projects.
thank you so much for including all the glorious seconds we got with Nebula
Loved sharing this with you fellas. Merry Christmas!
Definitely one of my favorite things in a while! With She-Hulk ended and only having Andor, I was glad to have something funny and entertaining again! It was so good!
There's honestly nothing I enjoy more than watching two grown men crying at a Marvel Holiday Special. I cried too, so thank you
The animation looks just like Heavy Metal. I love it!
That opening song is SUCH a bop!
They've been calling #Andor "an-DIR" for so long, Adam has forgotten how to say "an-DOOR." 😂
Look, Groot's going through puberty, be easy on him
That was so much fun! Even tho it would have been fine if you watched it over the holiday, I'm also happy we got to see the first time reaction from you Jay :D
Btw, Groot was 100% CG, James Gunn confirmed that
"Its the slow dad feels" 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
"...learn the miracle of Hanukkah. "
Wakanda is the Lost Tribe confirmed! 😂
3:20 OMFG YALL SAID MY NAME 🙆
*Watching your reactions to this is now a Christmas tradition.*
Up there with *PLAY ALL switchmas pReview'd.*
"Getting that from UA-cam"
The song at the beginning is Fairytale of New York by The Pogues with Kirsty MacColl. An absolute classic.
I think that when they were showing the dioramas of all the places Ego had "planted his seed" I think that one of them showed an "insectoid" family.
"He may have been your father boy, but he wasn't your daddy. I am sorry I didn't do none of it right. I'm damn lucky you my boy."
Yondu loved Peter through and through, the scene with the little toy troll was, I think, the first time Yondu really recognized it and showed it. It doesn't take blood or genetics to make a dad, it takes love, miles and miles of love.
Finally someone gives GET OVER THE ZARGNUTS! the huge laugh it deserves
It was the perfect blend of comedy, schmaltz and some genuine sentiment.
Also, because of James Gunn, it has a terrific Christmas playlist.
Did you see Mark Hamill? When the blow up Santa deflates, it bops him on the head. You see him in a close up
Before that, he has a paper bag with a bottle in it and a holiday hat.
"you cant outrun me bacon" best line in the whole special
I need a show of Mantis, Drax, Wongers, and Madisynn bar hopping.
Whole time i was watching the movie, all i wanted was to see Jay react to this. That big ol sap 💝.
Happy holidays peaches!!!
How about a drax and mantis/Wong and MadiSynn team up Special Feature ?????? (I'm pretty sure that's where the y is!?)
I'm a little late on this cos I no longer live in the same room or house as my brother who I've been watching Marvel shows with since AoS, and I didn't watch to watch a Christmas show alone.
It was a really fun time :D
It got y’all in the feels and the New Rockstar’s explains Swolle Groot it makes sense and interesting
When Mantis remembered Steve,it was breaking my heart 🥺🥺🥺
This was such a fun holiday special, and I loved how hilarious Drax and Mantis were throughout it.
Ego spread his seed all over the galaxy so it makes sense that Mantis is Quil’s half sister.
Nice that this one focused on Mantis. We got so little of her after volume two. I was hoping for more after how good her character was in the GotG videogame.
The Old 97's had a song about a missing cat. The song was Murder(Or a Heart Attack) that got airplay.
