The way Spitfire first reacted to these Legacy characters, those being a unenthusiastic response to seeing Bumblebee for the first time, and calling remarking that everyone in the room is “old as dirt,” made me laugh.
To be fair, I have a similarly unenthusiastic response to seeing Bumblebee

I still think we should’ve gotten a whole squad of Decepticon-aligned Terrans that act as foils to the Maltobots.
It's still possible.
Maybe not in the same manner.
But I'd wager more Terrans will come.
I'm gonna insist that although Aftermath was trying to do bad, what he did wasn't so bad, since the cave water is probably refilled by a natural aquifer. I'm guessing after the next rain storm or just in a few weeks of natural exposure to the local aquifer the cave will be full again.
Possible, but we don't know how it works, also there was another cave so it wasn't all their water. But I do think it's basically energized water, so a storm may provide.

I had to catch the VoD of you and CaptainFluffs and I'm surprised you didn't bring up Octus when he started talking about the Daleks from Doctor Who. Octus is an obscure Decepticon who literally transforms into a Dalek. There are a lot of Doctor Who references in Transformers and vice versa. Also one of the actors from Doctor Who also voiced a Transformer. Alex Kingston plays both River Song and Quickshadow from Rescue Bots. And considering all the evidence that they might actually exist in the same universe it's highly possible River Song and Quickshadow are literally the same character.
It kind of bothered me that Aftermath's betrayal didn't have any consequences further down the line. Despite Aftermath draining the cave, the Maltos still have plenty of cave water, and aren't shown suffering from any shortage of it. Nobody went hungry because Aftermath took a tanker full of the stuff, and if that much is totally OK for them to lose, then they would have given it to Aftermath anyways! It's like, who cares if somebody takes two slices of pie instead of one if everybody else still gets a slice? Just kind of takes the emotional oomph out of Aftermath's betrayal if his actions didn't actually hurt anyone.
Family bonding, and Spitfire oh Spitfire.

It might be an interesting concept to have a body swap plot, if they execute it in a right way, and maybe subvert our expectations by not having the characters swap back to normal at all, maybe twitch would like Being an advance drone, and spitfire tries to find new ways to improve her abilities, like upgrades or stealing parts from other bots, maybe even forcing a fusion with one of the Terrans, but this all wishful thinking.
No, no the Body Swap sucks and gets reversed. And god I can't take them acting poorly. But at least they had the VAs use the other one's tone as opposed to a voice swap, that I'll credit them for.
Zelda Williams has done a couple of voice roles mostly on Nickelodeon shows, like the main villain in the last season of Korra.
At least the end of the Spitfire episode is on a leading cliffhanger instead of That Trope happening and resolving all in one episode, it was ambiguous at that moment that some thought Twitch just regressed or broke character shunning Spitfire as irredeemable instead of being hopefully nice.

Seeing those Shroomtants kill a squirrel then a bird and then a deer was definitely scary, I was like Oh dang, that ain't right
The end of episode 5 was annoying, you spend the whole episode seeing Aftermath form a bond with Jawbreaker and then at the end he straight up betrays him and steals all the Cave Water which put the Malto terrains in a big pickle. Why have Aftermath grow only to have him relapse
The Spitfire episode was funny especially seeing Alex change costumes and he was told no more outfit changes. Having Spitfire loose it when she got disqualified was like that one kid with the If I don't win nobody does trope.

I would like to point out that they don't actually know how combining works with the Terrans. A lot of what's said is just a working theory based on the evidence they have at the time. Wheeljack and Nightshade do a lot of experiments TRYING to understand it better but it's implied that their theory may not be entirely accurate later in the episode when Jawbreaker casually mentions he combined with Aftermath you see both Wheeljack and Nightshade's jaws drop as they realize this throws a monkey wrench into everything they thought they just spent the whole day learning about.
Also... personally I really don't like the combined modes they've come up with in this show because they don't actually look like combiners. I was expecting something more like the toys we got with the Energon style combining because that's actually possible. This just looks like they mixed and parts to build an entirely new thing with 2 heads.
And we still might those combiners later in the series. Weird to make this comparison here but RID2015 did the same thing with Sideswipe and Grimlock for an episode having them combine in a way that's not actually possible as a toy rather than using the Crash Combiner designs that actually do exist as toys. And this episode just reminded me of that episode.
I don't completely hate RID2015 there are a few good episodes in there but I get why people don't like it and reusing a plot from one of the worst episodes in a series I enjoy a lot more is not a good direction to go in.
I almost forgot to mention... we never got an explination for the weird goo in Bear Necessities. I was hoping for a Ninja Turtles crossover but this episode telling us it's tainted Energon I think makes it less likely we're ever going to see a crossover outside the Party Wallop figure.
The Spitfire episode, is a trope but it's a trope I personally like and they're doing something new with it I've never seen before. Usually the Good guy and the Bad guy are more evenly matched with the same abilities or the potential to have the same abilities. There are times when Reverse Flash is more powerful than the Flash but it's never something Barry can't learn to do himself. Here Spitfire is literally a more advanced drone with capabilities Twitch doesn't have and unless she rescans her vehicle mode she can't just learn how turn invisible, she literally doesn't have that ability. It makes for a more interesting dynamic as Twich has to over come a stronger enemy.
And I already knew where the next episode was going by the ending of this one and they're also reusing a plot from another Transformers series. It's Bumblebee and Wasp from Transformers Animated.
I gotta say if you're going to reuse plots from previous Transformers shows Animated is a much better source to steal your plot from than RID2015.
This is an odd low point for this show but I'll let it go because I'm still mostly enjoying the series and they are still doing something new with the trope despite seemingly reusing plots from other shows.
