You have a wonderful sense of humour and willing to go the extra mile. I was skeptical about the pieces separating. The wood pieces are very well constructed to be soaking and still in one piece. 😊
It was a fun experiment, right? I'm glad I could make you laugh! I love testing things out like this. Enquiring minds would like to know 🙂♥
Hi Joan, hmm good experiment, I’ve not heard of them coming apart, ever. They are so compressed. Sweet pics of Jett. Thanks for sharing. Have a blessed night ❤❤
Good afternoon Brenda. I forget where I heard that they would come apart. They actually soaked over night twice before I took them out to dry. That is one of Jett's favorite places to be while I craft ♥ Have a blessed rest of the day. ☺♥
wonderful video love Jettie the cat and the snow removal yes i have watched MythBusters great show .
Thank you Dewey. I love to find out if what I hear is just a myth or not. One of Jett's favorite places while I'm crafting Thank you for watching. Have a wonderful evening. ☺♥
Thank you I was always curious about that too!
I'm glad you enjoyed the video, I was surprised by the results too! 😄♥
The pressed ones will separate into 6 pieces.
I have several of these laser cut wood pieces and I have tried to split them. The actual wood ones also didn’t split for me. BUT, there are laser cut “wood” shapes from the dollar tree that only look like wood. They are actually a kind of cardboard, I think. They split really well. I think Creative Nana did a video splitting them and I love how it reduces the bulk. I think she left hers overnight, so the time might make a difference, eventually, haha. Thanks for the experiment Joan.
Thank you Kathleen. These were soaking well over 24 hours with no hope in splitting with any of the six brands. I will look for Nana's to see what one that she got to split then. I missed her video. Thank you and have a wonderful evening ☺♥
Great experiment Joan, thanks for sharing. It is funny cause I had gotten some wooden cuts similar to Dollar tree from Hobby Lobby some time ago and guess what, one of them came apart by accident when I was fiddling with them, did not intend for that to happen 😂😂. Have a wonderful evening. The snow plow driver looks like they were having fun. Big hugs.💜
Thank you Sherry. It's funny how the cheaper ones don't come apart when more expensive ones do (or at least the one of yours). I thought I gave it a fair trial using 6 different brands from 3 stores. I was hoping at least one of mine would come apart. Have a wonderful weekend ☺♥
Oh no, Joan, I was really hoping they would split. I have tons of them and have only ever used a few due to the bulk. Thank you for this fun and interesting experiment, and you definitely busted the myth. I am not sure I heard if they could be split, but thank you for 'taking one for the team' and giving it a try, to save the rest of us from the frustration. Jett looks adorable, and I love your window gems, so pretty. Yikes, look at your snow! We have had no snow yet, only a few flurries that didn't stick. I am good with it. Before I go, I will leave you with a Bible verse on one of the names of Jesus that I am writing in December - the Rock - 1 Corinthians 10:4 - "And did all drink the same spiritual drink: for they drank of that spiritual Rock that followed them: and that Rock was Christ." I am learning so much. Wishing you a blessed day, my friend. Hugs, Kitty.
Hello Kitty. It is my pleasure to take one for the team. As you saw, I gave it a fair trial using 6 different packages. I loved that show and I love to test things out like this also. During the summer I get the most colorful prism reflections on my wall when the sun comes through the window with those dangles. I want to make many more. I noticed after the picture was taken that 3 had fallen onto my window sill... probably from Jett walking back and forth. I will rehang them from a tension rod one day. As soon as I heard the name Rock, I thought of the Hymn "The Solid Rock" Here is another Beautiful Rock verse: Psalm 95:1: " Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the Rock of our salvation!" Have a blessed day also my friend. ☺♥
@JoansJunkJournalsAndMore Good morning, Joan! Thank you for the Bible verse, I love it. I just wrote it in my journal, along with your name of course. I also love the hymn you mentioned, it was one of the first hymns I ever heard. I had to go listen to it again after you mentioned it LOL as it's been a while since I heard or sang it. Today I will share another name of Jesus - True Vine - John 15:1,5 - "I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman. (5) I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing." Amen. Wishing you a blessed day and weekend. Stay warm. We finally got some snow overnight but just a dusting. Hugs, Kitty
@@Fit_Kitty 25-30 years ago I had a sewing business in the basement of a house I lived in and I name it after that verse John 15:5 But then I had to move. I enjoy my crafting with paper now. Speaking of which, I'm working on today's video a bit late. Have a wonderful rest of the day. ☺♥
OH I was hoping they would split as it would be so much easier to use them without adding to much bulk... good experiment tho,
Thank you Caroline. I was really hoping they would too. Maybe if I can find another brand other than the 6 I tried here?! Have a great rest of the day ☺♥
