Nice review. I too have always preferred to assemble my own builds for various reasons but primarily because I can and I enjoy doing it. I’m currently researching a WC build and I’m debating on my braking setup. You mentioned that you have 4 pot brakes on the rear but didn’t reveal what you’re running on the front? Do you have a particular preference in general or will your brake setup be tailored specifically for this frame given the lessened rear travel and slacker head angle?
Thanks for the great review! Have been waffling on a new Blur CC vs Epic WC. Currently own a custom built S-Works Epic (2019) and looking for a new rig for 2024. Been trying to understand if this new Epic WC will have enough travel for me. I don’t DH and most racing I do has short technical rocky sections. I have my Epic rear setup up as full firm and I never change it to any softer, so my thinking is that the new Epic WC would be fine for me. I like to race the endurance 100 mile length races. Always loved the fit and feel of the Epic but the proprietary rear shock has me a bit nervous if something breaks. Any opinions on riding the new Epic WC on gnarly, rocky trails? Thank you!
Can't get over that color, so good! Plus, that new in-frame shock is sick.
