I just upgraded from my 7 to the SE 2 this past weekend. Huge jump in performance from a10 to a13 and only cost me around $150.. still keeping my 7 though, it still works perfectly fine.
I’m still using my iPhone SE 2020 64gb model. I like it a lot and it’s not a tablet. It’s lite and comfortable in my hands. Even though its a bit small.
I had the 2020 SE, and upgraded to 2022 SE. I noticed the 2022 was snappier and responded faster when scrolling and taking photos. And the photo quality is a tad better. The processor does its work 👍 And the extra battery 🔋 life is noticeable. And also, the thin slim body speaks to me more then the bulky 13 and 14.
4:24 At only $429… I’m going to stop you there Andrew, that is not a good value for most users. I would recommend most users get an Apple refurbished iPhone 11 rather than the 3rd gen SE. They’re very similar in price, the A13 isn’t too much better than the A15 for most tasks, the battery life is better, and you get a much better design. I would only recommend the SE range to people who want or need the iPhone 8 form factor for the home button and/or Touch ID; there are better options even from Apple for the same price for everybody else.
I agree I don’t love the 11 I’m so glad I got the iPhone SE 2020 my mom has the 11 and it’s just awkward in my hand and I have an iPad to watch videos on

That’s why I get the se phones I understand the camera an pictures aren’t gonna be as pretty as the new iPhones but the fact that I get the same performance for a cheaper price an enjoy the benefits of the Apple updates for years to come is worth it Apple is very smart for finding a way to do that plus some of us prefer the home button than the Face ID I think Apple should just add both for future phones
I'm getting the se (2020) today as I feel like the se3 refresh isnt that much different , or noticeable to pay that extra amount. I'm moving from android , and the se (2020) in my opinion is the best budget iphone for new ios users like me. I will come back to this comment after a month or to to provide my feedback
I still have se 2016. Watching the Se 2020 and 12 Mini prices. I wasn't aware until now that Se has a 3rd generation. The display size, more cores, and front camera spark my interests of the 12 Mini. Overall, the phone I have works, but I'd appreciate a slightly larger display and longer battery life. This 3rd edition has made the prices of the 2nd fall more , which is also a factor. As of July 2022, The 2nd gen starts at $190 and the 12 Mini $400
The “dated” design is very subjective in my opinion. I actually still love the original style of the iPhone 5S and would love to use a modern phone with that form factor. As long as the phone has modern specs, the design is a matter of tastes.
My iPhone SE 1st Gen is still working just fine. on an old IOS. It's in an Otter Box case. So it still looks new. It fits in my shirt pocket. Not to mention all the security issues that Apple has built in now. People would be outraged if they only knew.
I would be more worried about security issues with old phones, not new ones! The longer a product has been out, the more time someone has to exploit it. Recently, due to nearly every app failing to open, I upgraded my iPhone SE 1st Gen from iOS 13 to iOS 15.7. I have never, in my entire life, found an update to be a welcome change - until now! I can hardly believe myself when I say that iOS 15 improves the phone. It makes it snappier and improves the battery life, two things that I would expect to be mutually exclusive - yet somehow, they're not. It also gives the screen more contrast, making it more colorful than before. I fully expected to hate it, because I'm not a big fan of change. I was wrong!
I have the iPhone se 2020 I had it for two years and it’s still pretty fast for a two year old iPhone I got it on May 28th 2020 the battery health is 88%
Are you better just paying less money for the iPhone se 2020 or a bit extra for the new one also is there going to be a 20231 coming out soon and the last question I have is the iPhone se 20-22 can you turn off the 5G features and maybe put it down to 40 if you're not a big fan of 5 g thank you
I love the classic shape to the SE3, I own an SE2 and it does exactly what I need from it. If I was going to upgrade for the price Apple want then it needs a much better camera, significantly better battery, at least 5-6 gb of RAM and proper 5G as in other devices. The current SE3 doesn’t really represent good value for money. I think I’ll wait to get one on the refurbished market.
@@jinglemyberries866 battery is fine but now I’m curious about the se3 because I heard so many things about the battery being optimized! I might just get the se3 and then my se2 will either be a gift to my cousin or it will be a great backup phone I got the 256Gb model
Not too bad. As long as you’re only a moderate user. When I take it to work, and then come back home it has anywhere between 40 - 60% battery depending on how much I’ve been on it (I’m on it throughout my hour long break watching UA-cam)
