- This is the awesome way I keep all the water monitors ponds clean and flowing her at Toothless Reptiles in San Diego. Very convenient compared to what I know all of you are used to like dumping your monitors water EVERYDAY. So worth it. Keep Feedin'
very helpful gotta do a setup like this
Really impressive 👍🏻
holy moly this is good
Any idea on how to make a all in on filter that just filters the water and spits it right back in with out all the fancy drains and other intakes and outputs ? I have a nile monitor and just finished building his custom enclosure and added a small rectangular pond using a tub I bought at tractor supply usually used for slop for pigs I'm guessing, it's about a quarter of the size of the one you showed and I just need something to keepHis water clean cause with the enclosure being on the second floor and everything being so big and heavy draining and continually refilling the pond really isn't an option lol I'm considering adding some water lillies or some pond plant that can help naturally filter some of it to but that isn't going to be enough obviously
Savag3Calib3r buy a fluval fx6
I had the same question!! Do you think the Fluval fx6 would be suitable for a single Water Monitor?

I’m trying to come up with something for my nile I’m having a hard time finding a tub that 25inches wide 36inch long
If you know what size you want you can try ordering online at pond depot otherwise I usually go the my local feed store and they have big horse tubs and stuff that I use and they last forever.

Hey so I have an 11x6x6 enclosure coming for my anaconda. The pond is 6'x6'x20". There will be a. Cabinet between the pond and dry side hide cabinet that has a sump and filtration. Is there a way to make the filter so it cleans the water of fecal matter so if she pees or poops I don't have to empty and refill or would it be best to just empty scrub and fill? Also if there something that's safe for reptiles that removes chlorine? I'm clueless with stuff like this and clean water is VERY important for anacondas so I want what's best.
Use a fluval fx6. And chlorine is not a stable additive so it will break down in about an hour after running any filter system.
What job do i need or career to be do settle to do this
So confusing
