Thank you so much Scott. The Orion is the tape mode on the Starlight Echo Station but with more controls I think? If yes, then it should be a killer pedal. It sounds incredible!
@@DawlessAndBibleBlack I'm looking forward to it! I usually do all my effects in the DAW, but getting some external effects to play with feels like a good move
The DAW gives you the versatility but I like the immediacy of a hardware unit. Even if I do the fx in a DAW I like to sketch with hardware to get the ideas down when I'm using hardware synths.
@@resofactor I have a Zoom H5 that I sometimes use for recording but usually I run everything into an analog mixer and to the audio interface on my computer and record there.
@@resofactor I don't think there is enough latency to bother me. It's like 16-32ms from the ASIO Drivers. But even if there is I usually monitor before DAW so I wouldn't hear it even if it was there. I monitor from hardware. Either the Mixer headphone out or the interface right from the inputs before USB. I find this the most comfortable way. The DAW is basically just a tape recorder for me when I do these videos. Just happens to be digital.
Spooky whale music ❤
Who doesn't love spooky whale music!
Out of this world stuff! Or maybe under the sea stuff! I have a UAFX Orion on the way, excited to explore that. Their bigger pedals sound great here!

@@DawlessAndBibleBlack that's an interesting workflow, and I'm looking forward to trying it!
It's an ambient trend,
Cheers!
Curious... how are you recording this?

@@DawlessAndBibleBlack Curious how you compensate for the latency while monitor.
Or do you just record it all 'straight'
