Yeah he inherited 4 world class players in my opinion. But I’m saying why didn’t matiese say this during the summer when he called Salah finished. It’s more to point out his hypocrisy, you can’t just move the goal posts whenever you want.
Why do people always mention Chelsea spend but not how much money they made off player sales which is the most in the league since 2014/2015 season(£1.26 billion)
Chelsea (Todd Boley) 1.6bn spent & the Club shy away from any responsibility to attain success is simply ridiculous. LFC have spent 265M in same the period
They’re saying its a young inexperienced team, but they’ve got a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner in the team and they don’t have to worry about rotation and fatigue having two teams. Its definitely not a young inexperienced team. They’re just covering their backs because Maresca is new, but so too is Slot.
They have a CHAMPIONSHIP manager!! 2nd division manager. LITERALLY was in the second division a year ago. What are y'all talking about? You think if you take some random 2nd rate driver and drop him in the best F1 car that he's gonna beat Hamilton and Verstappen? Y'all are stupid
Liverpool aren't rebuilding. Chelsea are. It's not the same. We bought a bunch of 20-23 year olds who have never been in a title race. When we win the league in the next couple years, keep the same energy 🤡
The funny thing about chelsea is how they say we have no pool and parade all the players they have stolen from us over the windows . FFS they had and still have the LFC midfield (Lavia, Frenandes and Caicedo) but no let the team that has no pool (LiverNOpool) win the title.
@ Liverpool are an experienced team. Slot took over from top to bottom the best squad of players in the league. The fact the Chelsea are even top 3 right now with kids and a championship manager is incredible. Cmon man let's not act like Liverpool didn't already have a squad and quality players and they really needed to spend tons of money and look what they are doing... that's ridiculous 🤣
I’m not worried about City’s draw vs Everton which was a shock result… Liverpool handled their business coming back to beat Leicester; Arsenal just get over the line to beat Ipswich… Chelsea fumble 3 points to London rival Fulham, Tottenham and Manchester Utd are the new mud brothers…
Utd are on a completely new level all on their own tbf. Haven’t won back to back games all season and can’t see where the next win is coming. Southampton are arguably the only side worse than them.

Worrying times for Arsenal fans with Saka’s injury. It’ll be some time before he’s able to play with the same freedom and burst of pace he relies on as a winger. He might even have to change his game like Michael Owen did. He was never the quite the same after his injury. As a winger it could be even harder for Saka and he’ll probably need a couple of months to fully trust his body again.
Disagree with Mattise and Griez about the lack of subs by Maresca. Maresca has always made subs when necessary when he had players available. The only regular players on the bench were Nkunku, Disasi and Felix. He brough on Nkunku. This wasn't a game for Disasi and if you want to bring on Felix, it has to be for Palmer, for the balance of attack and defence. One can argue about subbing off Palmer but most managers keep their best player on the pitch regardless. Acheampong has played 2 x 90 mins in the Cinference league and 27 mins in the League cup this season. Bringing him on for Gusto would have been a massive risk. The other subs were Casedei, Guiu and Geroge. Did you want him to bring on Casedei for Enzo or Caicedo? And both Guiu and George have very little to none premier league minutes under their belt. So when you are talking about subs, do you just want the manager to make subs just for the sake of it?
Agreed. Felt like the Pep’s Disciple and failing to make subs narrative was so lazy. Maresca has changed plenty of games with subs this season. They just want to connect everyone to Pep like they just spawn out of him or something 😂 like each of these guys brings their own unique style to a Pep baseline. The Pep Disciples that are successful don’t just copy Pep! I also agree that none of the subs would have made a difference in that game vs Fulham. Felix has been terrible every time he has come off the bench for Maresca. Guiu scores a bunch of goals against Shamrock Rovers in the Conference League and suddenly he’s ready for Prem minutes in a close, crucial game? 😂 I don’t know if there were any other players that didn’t make the squad that could have. But the rival analysis of Chelsea in this episode was pure nonsense 😂 and I’m not even a Chelsea fan! lol
@danielcarbaugh4354 Even, Mattise's analysis was poor imo. In his game review, he said he wanted Maresca to bring on Viega (who wasn't even on the bench) and here he says he is not happy with the subs or lack of.
To say you’re not in the race because its a young inexperienced team is bs. You’ve got a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner in the team so you’ve definitely got players who’ve competed for and won major trophies. You’ve got a new coach who’s ahead of schedule, but so too do Liverpool. You’ve also got two teams so no worries about having to rotate or player fatigue. You’re in the race whether you admit it or not.
@@1972dsraiThe point is Chelsea fans have seen their team win leagues, so they know what a league winning side looks like, a d we can see the deficiencies we have. We dont live in cuckoo land like Arsenal fans who think they're so much better than everyone else, talk big all season long and win nothing at the end. Just a few weeks ago Bhavs was saying he aint worried about liverpool lol. Liverpool are ahead of us, because they have Van dijk and Salah. Put those 2 in Chelseas team I'll gladly say we're in a Race. In 2013 when Jose returned he called us a small horse, cause while we had a good team we had a few components missing. What did he do the next summer? He brought back Courtois, bought Diego Costa and Cesc Fabregas and we walked the league. Thats what we need, a keeper and a high level CB and we're good to go i reckon. Will be a fun ride regardless
MAH did well enough to fight back against the clear gaslighting from Steve and Tobs, but still allowed some insane things to wash. Ask every single person where they predicted Chelsea to finish before the season. And dont give me the shit that context of the season matters because the main argument is about spend and we spent money BEFORE the season. You cant tell us we should be winning the league in maresca's first season just because we spent 1bn. If we spent a billion and we have no world class players, the spend is meaningless to the 'win the league' argument. A nice well rounded squad and 'belief' alone dont win you leagues. its damning that i heard that from a CITY fan of all people. 'Belief' about Aguero and Gundo last minute moments. Yes mate thats belief in MAY. If we're a point away from winning it in MAY then you think chelsea fans would say we're not in a race?? 🤣 Why are they so adamant that chelsea fans have to admit to being in the 'race'. If you're given a billion pounds to spend on a squad, and you can buy anyone in the world with that money (since net spend doesnt count Turkish) - Palmer and Caicedo are the ONLY two players you would pick for that team. If the board have claimed to (and executed) building a squad capable of dominating for years to come, how can you look at that squad and not say thats exactly what it is? a bunch of young talented players who will go on to do great things.
To hear a CHE supporter in Matisse say “I’m not into this $ thing” … is the height of gas lighting. Modern CHE have always been all about the $. They are the club, along w the big Italian + Spanish teams, who started salary escalation.
To argue they’re a young inexperienced team is also bs. They’ve got a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner in the team. They’re definitely not short of players who’ve competed for and won the biggest trophies.
@richardlefaive1944 Always remember that 90%, and I am being generous, of the Chelsea fanbase on here or generally would never have supported Chelsea pre-Roman's blood money. The same Chelsea that were kinda fun but entertaining but ultimately a cup side at beat, and one whom who due to already gross spending under Ken Bates were very much going the way of Leeds United. And that includes Mah. If he was a couple of years older, he'd be a Man Utd or Arsenal fan. Not even a dig at him. It just is what it is. Younger ones here are not far off being a City fan. Spending obscene amounts is how you said exaxtly for that club. Simply, it is a feature, not a bug.
@@LocoAdethis sounds stupid, so what’s the difference with him falling in love wid Chelsea then being a stupid glory hunter in London supporting United who won everything
@@benjysho6290 you have a bit of a point but it’s a bit of apples to oranges. Fergie didn’t start with an obscenely larger budget than the rest. He also struggled for 5 years b4 building the dynasty that won everything on the regular and propelled ManU into the world brand that gave it a $ advantage when buying players. Those ManU fans had to suffer for a fair period through times like they are in now . Most Red Devils fans will also never abandon the club no matter how bad it gets. They are real fans, unlike CHE. Within London , TOT fans show real loyalty too. Despite the PIR ownership … I don’t think we can question NEW fan loyalty either after everything that club went through. He exception to “true blue” fans of EPL clubs are large portions of the CHE and Citeh fan base who are younger. Let's even go with that argument that a fa cup is more difficult to win than an Europa league. It wouldnt mean that it's more important. Like it or not in club football, here is the ranking based on importance: 1) Champions league 2) the League 3) Europa league 4) Domestic cup 5) league cup 6) By products of 1-4 If you ask nice, spurs, brighton, Werder bremen, or even Celta vigo fans what they would rather win between 3) and 4), the answer would lean more towards 3). Good show today guys
UCL is on a par with the PL for me. They’re both massive trophies. Financially its the PL which earn the club three times what the UCL winner gets. It also depends on the club and what stage they’re at. For City the UCL was a priority after dominating the pl for a few years. For Liverpool its the reverse having won the UCL plenty of times already and we need one more to go level with Utd on 20.
@1972dsrai leave the financial part aside. Because the World cup doesnt bring the same money to the winner, but it's regarded higher than both the league and the champions league. I'm talking more in general, of course based on the Club situation, the answer may differ. But overall the CL has more prestige than a league title. If you ask a club from any top 5 league: In the next 10 years either win 5 leagues title, 5 champions league or maybe 4 leagues with 1 CL. Which of this 3 scenarios would be chosen last?
Also, Turkish saying the FA Cup is more elite when they’ve won it plenty of times , but have barely gotten a sniff at a Europa League, is hilarious 😂 there’s no way Arsenal fans wouldn’t lose their shit if they won a Europa League lol it would be their first European trophy in god knows how long 😂
We just scored 5 against Palace away, we are not toothless, we struggle against teams that park the bus due to lack of pace and directness. This is more on Artetas pedantic and over cautious tactics. Low risk, low reward. Maybe a more aggressive and direct forward player will help, but not sure in Artetas tiki taka possession based sideways BS.
Do these guys know Chelsea don't have the experience players or even the manager who had started his manager career from championship league 1 year ago and WC players to win the league. Btw I'm tired of people using this narrative saying how many money we spent when we sold players that we bought and bring new one honestly
Apparently you have all the best players (best midfield duo, best lb, best attack) bar gk…but due to managerial inexperience, you aint aiming for the title or whatever. Mind you, 22/23 before the start of the season, nobody, i mean, nobody predicted our run in the first half and the fall-off in the second half…yet we were called biggest bottlejobs despite not even being favorites for the title start of the season.
As long as you apply the same level of context to other title challenging club's seasons, I wouldn't worry about it too much. If you haven't, don't be a hypocrite 😂
No doubt you’re ahead of schedule and lacking experience, but you’re still 2nd and in with a shout. Liverpool should win it, but we too have a new coach who’s ahead of schedule albeit we have more experienced players who’ve won the big trophies and know what is needed. We have that advantage, but you guys have your own with having two teams so you don’t have to worry about rotation and fatigue. You won’t have that next season playing in the UCL. You’ll have to play stronger teams than you do in the conference. Regarding the lack of experience you do have a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner in the team so you’ve definitely got players who’ve won big trophies.
The funny thing about Chelsea is how they say Liverpool have no pull and parade all the players they have stolen from us over the windows . FFS they had and still have the LFC midfield (Lavia, Frenandes and Caicedo) but NO, let the team that has no pull (LiverNOpool) win the title and they must. Then whats the point of you stealing all our targets if there are no expectations at the end. We are heading int your 4th year under this ownership , this is no phase one bullshit.
Chelsea fans coming up with every excuse to say they’re not in the race despite being 2nd. Young inexperienced squad? They’ve got a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner and with two teams no worries about rotation or fatigue.
If any other club spent as much as Chelsea and still weren't challenging they would be crucified. Chelsea are just not a serious club. They like to have their cake and eat it too. Sad, small club.
The football Gods are punishing Steve for the ballon d'or take. I can promise the day he apologizes for saying Haaland deserved it over Messi, City will start winning again
If Ipswich is anything to go by Arsenal could drop a lot of points especially considering Jan fixtures. Brentford have been solid this whole season at home tbey could easily beat Arsenal
Arsenal definitely have a big fight on their hands without Saka considering how many of their goals come through him. Even when he returns he’ll need some time to get back to full fitness. You can’t rush a hamstrung injury as it could ruin his career. I don’t think he’ll be back fully fit until next season realistically. Arteta has to bring in a replacement as Martinelli isn’t the answer, but he could prove me wrong.
@@1972dsrai Good thing the transfer window is nearly open. We've gone through tough fixtures with key players missing and the same predictions were made by rivals about Arsenal dropping off.
With the Man Utd major trophies subject I’m in two minds. I think only Liverpool and Utd can stick noses up at the Europa league. But at this precise minute Utd need anything they can to keep up with Liverpool trophy total. As a Chelsea fan I’d be happy with the europa league, but obviously Champions League is priority. Arsenal should be happy with europa league. Spurs should aim for Audi cups
As a united fan, I agree with Steve that belief wins you titles. Chelsea don't really even want to be there! Arsenal are scared to bottle it again and that's the only 2 that are remotely close!
Arsenal can't bottle the league this season because they're not leading. It's liverpool who like last season have to make sure they don't bottle it again. They have similar points and like last season, they were clear of everyone then fell off.

I honestly, genuinely can't tell if Mah is being serious (and is just stupid) or if he's trolling. £1.6 billion spent - but it's not about money because "Liverpool didn't spend any money this season"? Are we pretending that Alisson, Van Dijk, Salah etc were all free? That we didn't spend to accumulate a title winning side? Just because your team spunked it on a bunch of nothing players doesn't mean you shouldn't be expected to do more. The reality is that your club is only third because City are having a nightmare of a season, Spurs appointed their worst manager in the last decade, Villa are coping with Champions League for the first time ever and United have been criminally ran. You would be comfortably 6th like you were last season if this was done on just talent in the squads and THAT is why you don't think you're in a title race, because you know you're in a false position based on other teams under performing, nothing to do with you having got better. And the net spend argument is even stupider. If I sold my £750k house and bought a £1 million house, I still spent £1 million - just because I made some money back (that I had already spent in the past) doesn't mean I didn't spend it.
I don't think any of the panel understood Steve's point. The energy from the press and the rest of the big 6ix when City spend big at all is different. None of Mah's excuses were relevant, it was a point about Chelsea as a club, not the manager(he keeps trying to separate it and divert). But in fairness Steve was directing it at the wrong person, what is Mah supposed to say? He's admitted he's a little embarrassed about how poor the spending has been. It's for the press and the rest of the PL fans to be asked, why do you always go HAM for City and not anyone else. Nobody cares about netspend anymore, especially now that City's is one of the best in Europe over a 6-7 year period. Everyone was obsessed with this when it was a valid stick to beat City with. Mah brought up Pep's first season, what he forgets is City were absolutely hammered from all directions for what was spent. Even though a blind man could see the team that scraped 4th place on the last day needed a major rebuild, defence especially. It was a necessity and if you want to rebuild fast you need to spend big on proven transfer targets. Pep didn't have the luxury of being able to rebuild over several years, finding gems etc... The press were looking for blood from day one because they were livid he chose City. Not only was the expectations and therefore criticism off the scales in that first season(where he finished 3rd place), they didn't change their tune after City won the league with 100 points. They clung onto how much was spent, for over 5 years, they were still mentioning it after United, Chelsea and Arsenal overtook City on netspend as clubs. They did that by comparing 6 years of Pep to 2-3 years of other managers, disingenuous doesn't cut it. This is the type of emotionally invested BS City have had to put up with. Steve is spot on, if City as a club had spent what Chelsea has in the way they have done it(and you can include selling hotels to themselves in that) people would be fuming and the press would make double sure of it, they be on City's backs week in week out, calling for something to be done(the rules need changing they are destroying football, they need to be stopped etc). We know why the energy is completely different when other clubs do what City have done(and worse in Chelsea's case)... It's because City have been dominant and you all do care and you don't want to admit that. So you can shove this 'a City fan talking about billions spent'... yes we do have room to ask why other clubs don't even get a fraction of the heat City would 100% get in the same situations, you're hypocrites.
It’s a nothing competition. Arsenal have never won it because they’ve only been in it a few times. 16 years in a row of CL knockout stages until wengers last 2 seasons
@@1972dsrai Real Madrid will never win the Conference league because they'll never be in it. Spurs have never won the CL, what they won is the europa league equivelant. Are you really calling the conference league, a cup that's only a few years old that can only be won if you finish mid, more prestegious than the cup winners cup Arsenal won in 1994? How many big clubs have won the conference league vs the Cup winners cup? A competition that you could only enter after winning real cups? Spurs and west ham domestically in the PL era have won just 2 cups between them, 2 league cups won by spurs, the last 16 years ago. Leicester in the tiny period they've been up have a league title and an FA cup. Spurs and West Ham are probably not the best team to compare Arsenal with.

Utd need a full rebuild, but are £350m in debt and trying to sell players they still owe their former clubs money for. You can’t make this shit up. They probably still owe Real for Casemiro.
They’re not too good to go down as some Utd fans think. It could happen if they don’t start picking up points, even if only draws. Still a long way from safety.

HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE ❤LOVE FOR THE LOVE ❤️
The one time they speak on Chelsea first is after a loss😭
Wow so one lost on how many games for Chelsea in awhile and they spend so much time on them, the hate is real
@1972dsrai lol 1.6billion doesn't care about excuses, it demands results. Peak L mentality

Let's even go with that argument that a fa cup is more difficult to win than an Europa league. It wouldnt mean that it's more important.
Like it or not in club football, here is the ranking based on importance:
1) Champions league
2) the League
3) Europa league
4) Domestic cup
5) league cup
6) By products of 1-4
If you ask nice, spurs, brighton, Werder bremen, or even Celta vigo fans what they would rather win between 3) and 4), the answer would lean more towards 3).
If you ask a club from any top 5 league:
In the next 10 years either win 5 leagues title, 5 champions league or maybe 4 leagues with 1 CL. Which of this 3 scenarios would be chosen last?
Grizz came in clutch for mah there😂😂,shouts out community man.London is blue
That advert though 🤣😂 mah and his weak muscle took me out 🤣😂😂
FA cup is a bigger trophy than Europa League?!?! Are these guys serious? EL is a much bigger trophy than FA Cup
Agreed. Even just from a financial point theres a huge difference. FA cup winner gets £2m and the Europa league winner gets £11m.
Also, Turkish saying the FA Cup is more elite when they’ve won it plenty of times , but have barely gotten a sniff at a Europa League, is hilarious 😂 there’s no way Arsenal fans wouldn’t lose their shit if they won a Europa League lol it would be their first European trophy in god knows how long 😂
It’s all about perspective, to a Tottenham fan the community shield is probably a major cup to them lot
Between the Utd and Spurs squads you could barely make a top 4 squad
We just scored 5 against Palace away, we are not toothless, we struggle against teams that park the bus due to lack of pace and directness. This is more on Artetas pedantic and over cautious tactics. Low risk, low reward. Maybe a more aggressive and direct forward player will help, but not sure in Artetas tiki taka possession based sideways BS.
Tobs what’s your opinion on terzic
You should start a second show called "The mid six", Spurs and Nan U in there along with Fulham, Brighton, Brentford and Westham.
What does Turkish know about Europa League? His club has never won it! 😂😂😂😂.
As a lfc fan whenever we are in it. I treat it as a major. I want to win it so badly
@@14_PhoenixThey’ve also got a Euro’s finalist and winner and a Copa and wc winner so they’ve got players who’ve won big trophies.

Europa League gets you UCL if you win. FA Cup gets you Europa League. Says it all.

Steve needs a better comeback than 4 in a row
The Europa League is obviously a bigger trophy than any domestic cup. Lets not be silly now.
You must be a top class idiot... nobody cares about city like that either.... Pep is the reason people look at you man in the first place

How many big clubs have won the conference league vs the Cup winners cup? A competition that you could only enter after winning real cups?
