The only person who's really tied into the rico as being like the gang leader and not just the actual people directly involved in the crime itself is von.

It sounds crazy but Von dying actually saved him from spending the rest of his life in prison. He'd be serving a life sentence in Federal prison and we'd hear about him dying like 50 years from now. He was like 26 when he died so if he made it to 76 he'd have done 50 years straight. Von spent most of his teens in and out of jail, then from 19-23 in jail fighting a murder case, had a run in rap for 3 years then got killed. Basically had he not died he would've spent all but 3 years of his adult life behind bars and from 16 to 76 (Hypothetical if he lived 50 more years) he would've been free at most 6 years without even considering the in and out stuff. It's a really sad life and that's not even including the dozens of friends that were murdered or his father being killed when he was 11 or the PTSD from the crimes he himself committed. A lot of people think Von was this heartless savage and that's the image he wanted everyone to see him as but I bet he had some serious PTSD issues from the stuff he did. Really a sad story and one that's all too common in Chicago to spend most of your teens and early adult life committing horrific crimes then falling victim to the streets. It sounds crazy but Von dying actually saved him from spending the rest of his life in prison. He'd be serving a life sentence in Federal prison and we'd hear about him dying like 50 years from now. He was like 26 when he died so if he made it to 76 he'd have done 50 years straight. Von spent most of his teens in and out of jail, then from 19-23 in jail fighting a murder case, had a run in rap for 3 years then got killed. Basically had he not died he would've spent all but 3 years of his adult life behind bars and from 16 to 76 (Hypothetical if he lived 50 more years) he would've been free at most 6 years without even considering the in and out stuff. It's a really sad life and that's not even including the dozens of friends that were murdered or his father being killed when he was 11 or the PTSD from the crimes he himself committed. A lot of people think Von was this heartless savage and that's the image he wanted everyone to see him as but I bet he had some serious PTSD issues from the stuff he did. Really a sad story and one that's all too common in Chicago to spend most of your teens and early adult life committing horrific crimes then falling victim to the streets. Like they say the streets will never love you back.

There is video footage of the moment after they got the car of all of them running out the building and running to their cars!
